It is peak I already spent 43 hours in this game on professional and still haven't completed everything I wanted to do. This game to me is my new current Favorite Yakuza game. Going from: 1. Gaiden. 2. 5 Remastered. 3. Kiwami 2. 4. Yak 0. 5. 4 Remastered. (Fan of Akiyama so I'm biased to 4 & 5).
Yakuza 0 will always be peak to me because it's not just the gameplay or the story, it's the sheer masculinity of that game that puts it at the top. It's honestly a celebration of masculinity to an extent that no other video game/movie has done for me. And in this era, it's a game that I feel is required playing for any man, almost a rite of passage. P.S. This is not to say other Yakuza games are not masculine or whatever, it's just that 0 is on another class of its own!
Nope. I've been a fan of the series since PS2, I can safely say Gaiden is not peak Yakuza. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good game, but not peak. In the 2017 era, Yakuza 0 was peak. Then Lost Judgment came out, and I think it still holds that title. We can treat Judgment as another series entirely, but if we were to treat it as the same series/gameplay, Lost Judgment would already beat Yakuza 0. And while 7Gaiden is very cool, it is sadly not even a full length game, and thus stuff like heat actions, substories, and all the rest of content that you'd expect in a full length game has been cut in half. So... there's that. Just my humble opinion.
Nothing against LJ but I just couldn't get into the MC at all so the games just been sitting on the side gathering dust lol. I would agree that Y0 is pretty top tier but if Gaiden had been a full game it wouldn't of even been a contest to be honest.
Action wise LJ beats Gaiden, but its plot and side content can't compete. Gaiden may have less but it has a tight focus and it comes out with consistently good side content and a plot that almost never drags. The same cannot be said for Lost Judgment. Bigger does not always mean better.
People are acting like more than 1 yakuza games can’t be peak lmao for me ( lost judgment, yakuza 0, Gaiden and 7 are peak)
Every yakuza game is peak and peakier than previous
This song is so good, best colosseum song (as far as I can remember at least)

Akiyama enjoyer as well based🗿
at least 4 or 5 RGG games are peak but Gaiden is the most fun I'm playing this whole year. Currently 75hours in but still not done lol
Would be peak with old school dragon style. At least the komaki parry.
Yakuza 0 is still the top dog, but yes.
FOTNS: Lost Paradise is peak for sure
Ладно приступим
Most peak yakuza games:
Lost Judgment and Gaiden
Кирюха в Гайдене крутой, бесспорно, но мне рожи чистить больше нравится за Ягами в Джаджментах.

The fact that it is NOT a full game and is nearly on the level of Lost Judgement if not better than it should say a lot about how good the game is

Heat actions are too few, lame, reused and some cool ones asks for some stupd conditions to use
