Well, yeah. No Hillary Hole is great but the no MIM parts is probably right up there with the lack of the hole. The 686 no dash was from (I believe) 1980-81 to 1987. I have a 1984 no dash. I really wasn't aware of the upgrade/recall on these when I bought my no dash from a pawn shop 12 or 13 years ago but I soon found out about it. If you call Smith and give them the serial #, they'll tell you if it's under recall or if it's already been sent in for the hammer bushing upgrade. Without the upgrade, many of the un modified versions will bind up under use with .357 magnum. When I sent mine in, Smith payed shipping both ways and did the upgrade work free of charge. Again though, that was 12 or 13 years ago. It is a safety recall though and so it's probably still free.
I have the 686 plus. It is awesome.
Best revolver ever made and the no dash is my favorite

Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for another .357 mag firearm!
Best thing about the no-dash 686, is no Hillary Hole. Lol. I have a 1994 Smith & Wesson model 629 Mountain gun.
Thanks for watching! You guys stay with me and I promise the video quality will get better!
