Within this current landscape of dating polygamy has become a hot topic and truly an option for many. We wanted to talk about the overall impact that polygamy is having on society and the mindset behind it through your own observations. Polygamy is the practice or custom of having more than one wife or husband at the same time. One thing we often see if people are more so operating in a polyamorous lifestyle which is the act of having intimate relationships with more than one person at the same time. A polyamorous person might have or might be open to having multiple romantic partners. Polygamy, on the other hand, involves being married to multiple partners. We were left with some questions to consider. Is polygamy a cop out for cheating? Do you think women in polygamist relationships are genuinely happy? Can everyone be equally satisfied emotionally and physically in a polygamist relationship? Is polygamy a rich mans sport?

As a single woman, I’ve experienced that people tell you how they feel all day but the actions don’t match up, and vice versa. “Choosing” to love someone is beautiful, in any relationship. But choosing to love someone you are romantically involved with and having actions that justify and support that choice is golden! I think that’s what’s lacking in the dating pool for me.
This whole episode was given Nick Cannon 😂. I honestly have not seen anyone in a polemicist relationship that has been healthy, happy, and long standing relationships.
“It’s nobody out here” on the dating scene… we are at home. We’ve isolated, we’ve healed, we’ve learned our strengths or what places or things we dont entertain anymore. The hard part is finding the places where we can meet the ones ‘on our level’ .
This is a good break down and understanding of “it’s nobody out here” for a person that is doing the work.

@@marybutidkI disagree. As a Man I am doing it. The shadow work, the self love, the material work, physical mental etc...Men, just like a lot of other subjects are not vocal about it, nor do most of us wear it on our sleeves, and especially put it out on social media.

Marrying more than one wife back in my grandfather’s days
Was about procreation, having alot of kids to help you in the farm, in the house etc.
my Grandfather married 4 wives
And had 26 kids, my Father is #1 😅

My understanding is that you would need to be able to treat each wife equally (provider & protector). If I did believe in it, I would like to operate as if we were monogamous (separate from the other wives). I find that some men think of poly as an everyday threesome or a way to have multiple financial providers in the home. Definitely a rich man sport. I wouldn’t see the benefit unless it is financial.
To me polygamy is a greed thing.
I respectfully disagree even if the whole comment section comes for me. This generation and world has lost its mind believing this foolishness to be beneficial to the actual growth of individuals. Polygamy is just another way to avoid working on one’s true self and being responsible for doing their part to maintain a successful healthy monogamous relationship. The problem here is that you can’t genuinely and seriously get to know multiple people all at once while actively working on being a better person and things just go peachy. That is the fantasy people seek but it’s never the reality they get. I’ve literally seen a situation go horribly wrong where one partner was okay with adding to the equation while the other was not which is how it typically goes. If you wanna argue fine, but for those who say this route is the way to go, let’s strap them to a polygraph and see how much “fun” they truly have. It’s possible to love everybody as God instructs us to do for peace and harmony on earth but don’t be fooled, you can’t possibly COMMIT yourself fully to more than one person so cut the delusions and live authentically 😊 p.s stop bringing up men who had multiple wives in history, this isn’t the past and again I guarantee you all of those women felt neglected in some shape or form mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.

Men don’t even know how to actively heal from their last relationship, but want to have more than one woman for what?

Majority of it be about the physical these days. They just want to be able to have a woman of substance & other women to sleep with from time to time.
This is why you shouldn’t speak on topics you have no real knowledge about. People love bringing up the “Old” days as a point to make when they never can explain what was the purpose for it back then.
They just love running to that statement because they’ve heard it all their life but don’t know what it actually meant back then.

That’s not how it works for a real woman. You gotta come harder than just paying bills. Women who only require that are not women of substance. They themselves don’t have anything to offer, therefore require the bare minimum from guys.
In addition, real women require more. Stability, Emotional Intelligence, Integrity, Self Awareness, + more. Please cut the bull on this all you need to do is pay bills BS.

@Nice & Neat The Podcast halftime always interrupts the flow of the convo, in the best way, and the scenario given for dem the rules is generally a clear and direct way to think about the topic. So while I don't think it is "needed" it does enhance the overall show for me and I've come to expect and enjoy it. The episode was still great regardless. But if yall are questioning if you should keep the halftime show or not, I definitely say keep it.

Emotionally connected but not emotionally invested. 2 different things. Speaking on the emotional pouring in a polygamist relationship, I think the men are definitely less emotionally engaged. I think they may have one wife that they give a bit more emotional support to because she probably craves that and their goal is to continue to keep all the women involved happy.

This is a good subject. But I believe you gentlemen should have done a research on the subject before approaching it. Polygamy was never and never have been about live. It has always been about a mission. It be more kids for legacy, build and make wealth (because back in the days the women used to help the men with their farms etc. like you guys rightfully stated, it was and still is a rich man’s sports otherwise no woman will subscribe to that. The women were taken care of and they had their roles. They couldnt complain.

I also think some might look at poly relationships and think its based around "SEX" but i don't believe most are that are based in a mature healthy situation. Huge thing is having the same goals morals and values to base the marriage on.

It should be obvious to even the most amateur observer,, that monogamy does not come natural to the human species (although there are a few animals species on this planet, where monogamy does come naturally. But human beings aren’t one of them). Although Long-term pair bonding does occur within the human species. it doesn’t necessarily mean,, monogamy. Down through human history, diverse cultures throughout the world practiced different relationship styles. Including polygyny, polyandry, polygamy, polyamory/ethical non-monogamy. Where there is consent there is no cheating. Legal government/state controlled or religious controlled or mandated Marriage,, is a made-up concept. It does not exist in nature. But as I mentioned,, pair bonding does comes natural to the human species..
I have a question on whether or not a male in particular are desiring to be polygamist. I think that on the one hand you can say that these behaviors are cultural and that it’s been down it’s been talk to us over time but if you want to attack it from a culture position I can also say that you also contest that OK some people based on culture values have to go without. The idea of polygamy in the society has not been for a single person to gold gobble up the research, the resources, but the resources to be distributed in a manner to where people have a Cher in it. So I think that is the test of your philosophy. If you believe that people should go without. Did you really believe in the ideology of people having to suffer for basically nothing but culture
Add for the argument, where people say, they have to develop that physically and mentally well. There is a line there, too, because that falls along the lines of asceticism and we know for a fact that asceticism doesn’t work.

I’ve really enjoyed most of your points in previous videos but suggesting having multiple husbands should be as normalized as having multiple wives is extremely arrogant to me. Traditionally speaking, it is common for a man to have multiple wives especially of a certain status. Women’s value is highly determined on their purity.
