I swear I left you a comment but I dont see it??? In short I think he may have some of the time. This particular video is from a 9 hour lecture he gave to a college in New York I believe. The 9 hour version I have has no music. But that was a lecture at University. He seems to of had a program on tv tho and I believe music would play during the episodes. The music definitely contributes, his words sound even more soothing which I didnt even think was possible 🤣
It has nothing to do with I except for that I is the influencer of the subjective just like a father or mother is the influencer of their child. If the child is having a problem acknowledge the child is having a problem and then accept the child's problem and give them attention and loving kindness they're having their problem that is the objective giving space to the subjective that is you and me giving space and love to our inner child and being the parent instead of being the child. Being the space instead of being the issue.
Thanks for posting, De Mello is truly inspirational. Simple but not easy tonpractice 24/7. One caveat, please remove the background music. It is a disservice to him.
I told a group of environmentalists that I don’t want to go to meetings, to be seen as a “leader” and no longer want to organize anything. I said that instead I plan to pickup a little trash every day, quietly and on my own. They replied and exalted “You should organize this activity!” I walked away from the group of sleeping humans.
Think you miss the point Tony made. Its not about isolating off. Its ok to join a group. To cooperate with others to get a big job done. Its ok to be a director. The point is not to over identify with any group. Eg i work as a carpenter not I AM a carpenter. I work with others to solve enviromental issues not I AM an enviromentalist.
No i dont understand how anthony can tell a teen sodomised by an adult that his anger is nobodys fault. A cop out to use table as an example. Of course one cant blame an inaminate object. Different if the table was hurled at you by another. U feel the pain but they are the cause unless tony expects people to disidentify from such lik too. Ridiculous expectation and most unfair to put blame on victim of assaulter or assailant. Thankfully, we have prisons, judges, jurors, lawyers for both sides. Glad De Mello isnt in that line of business or all criminals would be free. The victims would be judged by Tony fot feeling angry and hurt.
