Mario’s slap may cause explosions, but Yoshi’s is more powerful. However, Kirbo was created with two holy slaps of paint, thus making him the most powerful.

Unlike everyone else, Yoshi is stoic, cold, and emotionless when delivering his slaps. He knows there is no reasoning with his enemies, but he also takes no pleasure in doing what must be done.
Except the first one, that one was personal apparently
@@brithemchildsplay7283 Yeah, I realized later that it was very aggressive. I like to think he's since gotten older and wiser after that, especially with how angry Mario gets with his slaps.
I like how he included Mario missing fox because he technically hits him in parallel universes
I love how yoshi and mario have such strong slaps and kirby's seem like love taps but are at least 10000000000000x stronger.
More evidence for the theory that we see Kirbo (and all of his scenes) from his own perspective. He's barely even trying but from any other viewpoint he's demolishing someone.

Mario moves at 30 frames, Fox at 60. He dodged between the frames of the slap.
No idea if that’s true, but someone said it and I like it.

And I just noticed what made Mario's slaps so great. When slapping he has 5 fingers instead of 4.
I think Fox is the only character to successfully dodge the slap from Mario, how amazing!

I think they're the only character in this series to avoid a slap in general.
It’s because Mario 64 runs in 30 fps but melee fox runs in 60 fps
There's also a possibility that Yoshi used to dodge it. It may never be shown but considering the first slap of this video, chance is that we know who trained him.
Finally, the compilation nobody asked for, but we desperately needed.

All slaps aside, I only just realized at 1:11 that it's playing the Angry Birds theme.
Speaking of slaps, I thought it would be cool if Yoshi was the one that taught Mario how to slap like that. Then later in the series, it all comes down to Yoshi being able to land that slap if speedrunner Mario is still too out of control.
Just an idea.
Maybe a video called Something About Yoshi's New Island, or Something About Yoshi's Island DS, since those are more considered to be the sequels of Yoshi's Island.

Yoshi - Fastest and most impactful. Seems to be consistent among his species, even the obese ones
Mario - Mirrors those of yoshi, who raised him (sort of). Not affected by his speedrunning, but the impact seems to be somewhat larger
Kirby - Not as fast or quick, as much as he wants, but can be done much more rapidly
Luigi - Mirrors his brother, cannot be done as rapidly
Link - Not as effective due to use of weapons
Fox - Not as effective due to melee
Olimar - Wake Up Slap

The cook Felyne has the most powerful slaps, she cooks food with them. If she were to slap you, you turn into a fully cooked meal on the spot.

Even though Yoshi was the creator of the imfamous "slap of death", Kirbo and Speedrunner Mario were able to make their own variations of the Slap. While Kirbo made the tiny but deadly "Two-handed Bongo Cat Slap Technique" (or THBCST for short), SR Mario made the "Perfected Slap of Death."
...and Palutena used the classic belt
One of my favorite details of the Mario 64 episode is that if you pause at the right time during Mario's slap, you get a faint image of the Yoshi Slap.

The slaps are like one of my favorite parts of the series, they just always add an extra bit of hilariousness
The slapping feels just as Iconic as the stock explosions despite arguably not being overused at all, it's such a crazy balance
0:25 this one still gets me to this day: one slap, two slap, you think it's over but another, even louder, even harder slap by Mario always catches me off guard.
