Yes! Please do a video on mental health during pregnancy. It is not talked about enough. Everyone brushes it off or makes you feel crazy.

Congrats!!! So excited for you. Can you talk about getting pregnant so soon after a c-section? My doc recommended 12 months between having my c-section and getting pregnant again

I just had my second c-section and it was absolutely brutal. Totally different experience from the first c-section. We wanted to get pregnant again before 12 months since I’m older, but after that experience with my second c-section, I’m afraid. Could you discuss getting pregnant 6 months after a c section please??? 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️

After 3 vaginal delivery, I had a c-section due to a placental abruption during labor. We conceived twins just 2 months postpartum. I was ok'd for a VBAC if both twins were head down and no other circumstances arose, where my OB knew I could deliver vaginally. During labor one twin turned transverse so I did have a repeat c-section just 11 months after my prior c-section. Yes, three baby boys in under a year. Recovery was very easy. I went home just 1-1/2 days post delivery, by my choice. I felt so incredibly good compared to how miserable I felt 9 mo pg with twins that I made a sauce and chicken parm the afternoon I went home. My OBs had no issue with our conceiving then, and told me those recommendations are more about the dr's own preferences and their own comfort level about what they personally want to care for in their practice. It is the same with most VBAC recommendation. My main OB was named in Newsweek or Time magazine as one of the 50 best drs in the country that year, and her partner is now head of OB/GYN at our main hospital so I trust them completely.

    What a blessing congratulations!!
When I was pregnant with my son I was mentally not well because of how sick I was too, I knew it wouldn’t last forever but the best way to describe how I felt was stuck. The sickness was all day all night and I was miserable, so if you feel up to talking about it on TH-cam I would recommend it because there’s so many other women who are/have been there with you. 💕

Congratulations doc! I have to say, It is pretty hilarious to hear about an obgyn’s accidental pregnancy 6 months post c-section! 😅 I got my period 6 weeks postpartum with both my babies, despite EBF!! But honestly I was happy because I could start tracking again. FYI, mucus observations do not require regular periods. I observe my cervical mucus before and after going to the bathroom every single time, before and after shower, and before bed I bear down to make sure none present that might have been missed. I worked with a certified instructor to learn this. Once fertile mucus is observed I abstain. When mucus changes to peak type mucus, I use LH strips daily until negative and then wait 3 days after that to resume relations. Usually ends up being about a week of abstinence. I do not use artificial birth control and even at 39 I am a fertile Myrtle. The two times I had seggs during my fertile window, I got pregnant. I was told to wait 18 months before getting pregnant again after my second c-section, and we are at 19 months and counting! I just wanted to let your viewers know that it is possible to use fertility tracking to avoid pregnancy, even postpartum with irregular periods. I think this is such important information for women. ❤

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I have two under two, 14 months apart with the youngest being a surprise. It is HARD, but try to surround your family with those who are supportive and helpful. My mental health is trash some days because of the workload with two littles but somehow we get through it ❤

Thank you for sharing!! You made me feel so normal stopping breast feeding now at almost 8 months. My supply struggles the week before and a few days into my period and it weighed in my mental health. Just starting the weaning process now, but I had the exact same goals. 6 months originally, and then thought I could make it a year. Congratulations Dr. Ali, so proud of your strength and I’m eager to hear more about your story ❤

I am a retired 73 yr. old nurse, who came across your videos a few months ago. I enjoy your videos, even though I am past the baby producing age! You are such a good teacher. Please keep instructing women about themselves. You take the time to explain things so a woman won't be embarrassed to bring up an issue with her provider, if she needs to. I would ask if you could include some GYN topics once the childbearing stage has ended. Keep up the good work!

So I got pregnant (actively trying) 2 days before my son's first birthday, had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and then got pregnant again when my son was 15 months (found out a week after Father's Day). I weaned my son at 16 months and officially considered him weaned by 18 months (he's 18 months now). I didn't think we'd get this far with our breastfeeding journey. But I would get nauseous when my son nursed and I basically made nothing because he only bf once a day (usually first thing in the morning).
I'm almost 20 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby and so excited for my journey with breastfeeding this little one.
My son will almost be 2 when they're born.

My period always comes back right away even though I always EBF. After one son, while solely nursing, we conceived twins when he was just two months old. I nursed up until a few weeks before delivery of the twins, when our son was almost 11 months old. I was concerned when we found out they were twins, my OB and pediatrician both said it was fine as long as I had no signs of preterm labor with the twins, which obviously is a bigger concern with multiples, but I was fine. I know many moms who continue through and tandem nurse, but nursing an almost toddler was not an option for me while also nursing newborn twins. I only have two breasts.

I relate better than I would like to on this… I don’t have debilitating nausea when I’m pregnant, but I do have really bad pubic symphysis dysfunction, that makes me hesitant to go through pregnancy repeatedly. I just had my second baby, and I’m so blessed and happy about it, But the pain during most of my pregnancy is so hard, so debilitating, and so discouraging, that it is truly a challenge when I think about ever doing it again. I know I probably will, because I want more babies, but the struggle is real. Support definitely makes it better, and for me, I am formulating a plan for my pregnancy for how to make the best of what is likely to come. God gives us the strength to do it, but it is very difficult. That said, I’m happy for you and your family, and the blessing that this new baby will be.❤ two is hard, but oh so much fun!

Dude I was THE most depressed I’ve ever been while I was pregnant, but it was mainly because I was vomiting nonstop, and was so nauseous every second of the day, which also depleted my energy drastilcally. I do want a sibling for my daughter one day, but I’m so scared of becoming so sick again, and trying to care for my little girl like that sounds impossible.
