Shout out to your mom for filming the best plaiting tutorial on TH-cam. I always find them hard to follow because of how they are are shot, but your mom got right in there!!
Was actually great to see a plaiting tutorial with a thin forelock! One of my TBs had the thinnest fuzziest forelock and he was such a pest while trying to plait it! Argh the struggle 😅 Sadly I had to have him PTS last year. I'm sure he's happy now in horse heaven where there is NO plaiting required! 😊
Would love to see more videos at home like this, getting ready for events etc and also more about schooling/lessons that you have, weekly riding/exercise routines to keep them fit and how you deal with specific problems they have both on the flat and jumping etc
How wide are each sections, roughly? I’m used to doing the small hunter braids (which takes a millennium to do) I know you want spacing consistent but you seem to just know!
Any tips for plaits in long/thick manes? The pony I ride isn't mine, so I can't cut the manes, and they are just soooo thick.. I tend to really struggle to create consistent plaits :/
Nina Van Wijk I’ve seen videos of people braiding half way down the length, pulling it through the base and then proceeding the next plait with the leftovers of the plait before? Just search “long mane plaits” and the top video with the big grey is really clear 👍🏼
I really find giving them a hay net makes them constantly tossing their heads around. I rather work them feed them, then plait. She would drive me bonkers.
Oh my god they’re amazing! 😂 and yes please for the tail plaiting and trimming vlog! You’ve made me decide to plait with thread now! 😂😂

@@saskias1142 thanks so much! That's really helpful
Very neat 😊 How do you take the plaits out?
Just cut the loops of thread with scissors! :)
@@elphick.event.ponies Of course that makes sense 😂 thank you
how do you "unrap" the braids? i mean how do you like get the thread out when you want to take out the braids?
Also, how do you get the thread out?
you use a small seam ripper to cut the thread just making sure not to cut any of the mane and the you can unbraid them from there:)
I tryed it and it came out horibel :( but the tatoril is awsoem just my horse has very thin and frizzy hair ##
Tail trimming video!
I love that halter where can I get it
K so how do you take out now 😅
