Probably the best score of the year! A first issue Commodore Amiga 1000 in very nice condition! I have been dreaming of this computer for a while, I already have one but this one is perfect, just needs a good clean up. Today's scrap day was amazing for me, right from the start I got 2 PC's and it just kept getting better.
Should go out for TV's more often and you will end up with PC's. LOL! The Amiga was a great find, I believe it was from the same family that came out with Atari. Can't wait for the next video. P.S. For about $5.00 you can get a set of socket drivers for your drill so you don't have to bring a ratchet with you. I have a set(1/4,3/8 and 1/2) + a hex extension for switching out Torx and screw driver heads that are in a magnetic dish. Really makes life easier...
I’ve seen this vid all before, but I was watching your latest video and this played after it so thought I’d let it play on as I was playing on my phone👍🏻🍻🍻
Copper is so cool - it turns up in so many unexpected places. Yokes, monitors, collars, spools, degausing cables that can split open to yield lovely shiny valuable copper. Love that coppah!
Ben I'm a car guy and have lots of channels I'm subscribed to, but in all honesty I look forward to your street scrapping videos more than any other, thanks for sharing and love the long videos thanks from the uk
I used to have an Amiga back in 1990, I’m shocked you found one curbside in such good condition! Sweet scores for sure! Those little Beringer mixer boards are great, I used to have a powered one back in my DJ days.
That Amiga 1000 was an amazing find talk about old vintage they are extremely rare if none excitant to find one in such good condition is truly incredible they are worth a lot of money today, congratulations my friend that amiga is in good hands👍🏻👍🏻😎😄😄😊😄
For a recent Password reset question, it asked who would you most like to meet. E-Waste Ben was the only name that came to mind! Keep up the great work.
Hi Ben,I've learnt tons from you mate & it is sad that our beautiful copper is getting rather thin on the ground so to speak!! But hey make a wire strpper with a razor blade and strip on the go and your be surprised how quick it adds up. God bless you bruv.
I have never found a mixer in scrap. I did find an awesome amplifier that my nephew checked out and said it didn't work. it was a realy good brand my nephew said, I can;t remeber the brand but it had a solid piece of aluminum in it that was seven pounds.
Great score on the Amiga! My 5yo called that pile the dirty toy house, because when we hit up that pile Sunday all the toys he wanted to take were bloody filthy.
Not a scraper myself just watch for the fun so thought i would looked up the Amiga on ebay to see what's the fuss was about and bloody hell quite a find and all complete, no wonder you was so happy. Great Stuff Ben.
I really enjoy watching your videos...but I especially love how excited you get when you find old computers and electronics..... keep the videos coming....
I have the exact same stereo stack that you found only thing you are missing are the surround speakers. Still works still using it and it still bangs it’ll rattle the picture off the walls
shout from uk mate ya vids are quality , overall i admire the way you leave stuff for others not greedy at all .if i get over there ill come on a scrap with ya and buy you a coffee .thumbs up keep scraping
The polyvac scrubber!! passed up 2kg of copper just in the motor...plus cord and a lot of cast ali and a large brass drive cog...done about 5 or 6 of them...main pain is the oil in the gear box.
I watched you one day I quite a while a go when you did a whole pile of old tv's right on the spot , you had a tv on every other block. That was like 4 or 5 years ago. 👍😂🤗
Hey Ben! Would love to see a video of your trading cards stockpile...and... the progress on the amiga!! Is it running? Revisited this video cause I think this is the best street scrapping video yet!! Cheers!
Copper yokes can be stubborn but not if you take a sledgehammer to it. Sometimes I drop a 30 lb block of heavy iron on them while wearing steel toe boots for safety
im so totally jealous about the amiga 1000! shame it didnt have the mouse too! my eyes popped when i saw that tho! wow! you are SOOO lucky! i hope you had a celebration about that! shame not too many tv's on this one, im guessing the next you'll get the rest and im guessing about 12 pcs! lol well it helps with good karma giving some positive thought out! mind you, the more you get the more of the forest of pcs etc grows! jeezz! and you gotta go back to that firm from last week to get the rest of the servers etc... oh boy, you got a week or so of pcs now! 😱😳 i really wish you luck with them! and the rest! 😊 your doing well mate, always cool to watch!
I'd have grabbed that pile of 'Tote Boxes/Bins' that you passed earlier on but man, what a score! I listened to this to a fine 15yr old Kenwood amp. Nice kit. I'd have had all the loudspeakers as well but that's me. I know the question is "Why is is put out for scrap?" and I didn't see the inside of said 'Totes' but cool runnin' there Ben. Still, mind-boggling what some folks throw away! I've watched a couple of your posts on here and what excellent ethics! Good on ya.
@eWaste Ben - There is even a directly usable SCART-Chinch adapter sticking in the (Euro-AV-) SCART socket on the outside of the TV. SCART made it from western Europe to Australia / NZ (with their Chinese wall sockets ;-) ). SCART was the best analog consumer connection back then.
I don't scrap microwaves anymore because no yards in my area will take them due to new laws. They have to do to the transfer station now here where the dispose of them. Great Video.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing your methods. Trying to get my wife cutting cords. Could you do a video on sorting the cords and show the value of doing it. If you got some time someday. Thanks again
I would get a magnetic tray for each side of the van. Just throw the bolts and screws at them and they stick and do not move. You can even have them stuck to to the sides of the van so you don't even have to reach down
Lmao what a great score tho when you picked up that keyboard I thought you lucky bugger will you be firing up the amiga think a lot of us would like to see that in a future video even tho many of us know how to re wire a monitor I think alot of people would find it interesting not just scrappers but computer collectors so could be a very high view video
vacuum cleaners and fans also have a lot of metals and coper in their motors ... when its electronics or power tools take them whole, not just power cord ... electronic parts have great value too, specialy old ones ... these value parts and pcb are hard to found these days if you are electronics service like me
you should grab those old vcr and vhs dvd combos- they sell easy on ebay, vcrs get around 40, combos can get 100+... just check out sold items if your curious! your channel and positivity are fantastic!!!
They all feel about the same, that's why I need to scratch at the wire to tell, it would only be a few ounces difference but every transformer is a different size anyway.
I wonder if you could scrap stoves and washing machines on the street? Maybe just take the back off and grab the nice beefy copper wire and silver contacts, maybe grab the whole control panel to scrap later. The flat back panels would stack pretty nicely for scrap steel.
Hello E-Waste Ben! You can sell the knobs from the mixer as a lot on ebay for good money. They break easily so there is demand for them. Also these intel heatsinks go for 10- 15$ each.
Great video Ben! Thank you for sharing the find of the vintage computer, I acquired one Vintage computer So far, it is in storage in my garage I believe it's a compact, When I'm able to wrestle it out of where it is I will share with you what it is and the serial number if you are intrested, Not that I would sell it but just as and interest, Don't worry I'm not trying to sell stuff on your channel my friend.
So nice to see a veteran scrapper like yourself get excited by an old system! KInda funny in a way to see you babbling on about it, almost giggling at such a great find for your collection. I noticed several sliders missing from that mixing board so it might not work but it'll make an interesting scrap I guess. For me though, scrapping isn't my thing and it kinda hits me wrong every time I see you passing up speakers. As a stereo nut, good working speakers are always a plus to add to an already working system. I watched VidVulture tear up a turntable that probably could have worked and was shouting at my screen! LOL. I know you probably see dozens of speakers in your travels and always just leave them after clipping the cords. Sigh. Oh well, you know what you're after and it works for you. Wish I knew a way for me to get you to ship all those speakers to me in the states, although I know the cost would outweigh the value of the speakers. Well...goodonya Ben and thanks for letting us ride along with you on your adventures. For shut-ins like me, it lets us escape our dreary rooms and see a part of the world we'll never get to see in person. Cheers from the States.
Would motors from fans and vacuums be a good source of copper too? As long as there is a practical way to scrap them out. (Maybe scrap them in the van just like the TVs?)
J DeWitt J DeWitt I do. Since I have the downtime, and the...well, time...and focus on it (plus a buddy that helps break it all down) - I scrap anything with an electrical source. If it’s got a cord on it...I’m opening it up. EWaste pile is pretty big. As well as the bag full of brass plug-ends I’m building on even. It just depends on your schedule, patience, and just how much devotion to time in general you have to put toward the somewhat “tedious” per se, work you can put in. I do the littlest of things, to appliances. My motto..It all adds up. Just make sure if you are putting in the time for the smaller stuff, you cycle in enough of the bigger stuff to compensate on your return $. If you’re doing this more than just in your spare time.
I’ve done a few vacuums. Too much plastic and a lot of screws and dirty , I just took apart my own broken vacuum and it had a small motor with aluminum windings. The cord was the main value. At least microwaves have metal.
Haha, it's funny that that thing you called a "fridge" still has drinks in it! Were they unopened? That's likely too small to have a compressor in it, but would be like my Hello Kitty electric cooler/warmer, with just a Peltier device, and thus doesn't refrigerate.
I bought my Amiga 1000 in 1987 for £999. I think it was way ahead of other PCs as it had dedicated chips and you could load it with different operating systems. I didn't hear of anyone who designed another system, though. The expansion port on the side was for memory.

Ahh great, it's always nice to find a little something like that. I'm sure it'll continue to increase in value but that's not what it's all about when you're collecting stuff.
Congrats on the Amiga! I believe that was the first model... later on came the "budget" Amiga 500. While you were collecting cards in the 90's, I was playing with Amigas... :)

Mate he's got a long pozi........ and a new set of choppers
I think your videos are never too long. Love every minute.
Love to watch you get excited by nice toys.....
Comodor brings up nice memories
I know this is 3 yrs old but love your street scrapping.
Every time I watch one of your videos, I want to pack up my stuff and move to Australia!
Check out my one bro
Ben I'm a car guy and have lots of channels I'm subscribed to, but in all honesty I look forward to your street scrapping videos more than any other, thanks for sharing and love the long videos thanks from the uk
Love it Ben, back to your roots...... scrapping them out on the street for copper, wow that amiga is awsome, what a find
I used to have an Amiga back in 1990, I’m shocked you found one curbside in such good condition! Sweet scores for sure! Those little Beringer mixer boards are great, I used to have a powered one back in my DJ days.
Wow! I never thought people there throw away stuff like that. Its like heaven for me when I see places with scraps everywhere. Lol!
I love how excited you get when finding a cool find. stay safe in all you do
Haha, I love to see people's reactions to mixers. Every time it's just like "OMG SO MANY KNOBS!!". I'm really loving your videos Ben keep it up. :)
It's so crazy to me, the amount of stuff people throw away there. I never see piles like that.
I really like it that you got the vintage pc with monitor and keyboard, vintage portable tv and vintage radios.
That Amiga 1000 was an amazing find talk about old vintage they are extremely rare if none excitant to find one in such good condition is truly incredible they are worth a lot of money today, congratulations my friend that amiga is in good hands👍🏻👍🏻😎😄😄😊😄
Take the speakers,dude!Take the speakers!
Flat screen tvs have large plexiglass sheets in them. Expensive stuff.
I’m just here for the”good day scrappers”😂👏🏻
Loved the efficiency of scrapping off the tailgate of your van...worked great!
For a recent Password reset question, it asked who would you most like to meet. E-Waste Ben was the only name that came to mind! Keep up the great work.
Nice Amiga. I still have my Amiga 500 and 3000 in the attic. I used the 500 for games and ran a BBS on the 3000.
love your enthusiasm Ben !
scrapping tvs in the van!!!! I love it!
I like the way you get excited when you find something you really like that's awesome
Hi Ben,I've learnt tons from you mate & it is sad that our beautiful copper is getting rather thin on the ground so to speak!! But hey make a wire strpper with a razor blade and strip on the go and your be surprised how quick it adds up. God bless you bruv.
Another great vid man , love when you find these little gems
I have never found a mixer in scrap. I did find an awesome amplifier that my nephew checked out and said it didn't work. it was a realy good brand my nephew said, I can;t remeber the brand but it had a solid piece of aluminum in it that was seven pounds.
Copper to the moon! 🌙 👍
It is a paradise for scrappers at your location)
Great score on the Amiga! My 5yo called that pile the dirty toy house, because when we hit up that pile Sunday all the toys he wanted to take were bloody filthy.

Jeeeeeez i wouldn't work a day in my life because i really enjoy recycling. I cant believe how much things you left behind
if you are in my area you get more pc's than CRT's
Your excitement makes me smile😁
The polyvac scrubber!! passed up 2kg of copper just in the motor...plus cord and a lot of cast ali and a large brass drive cog...done about 5 or 6 of them...main pain is the oil in the gear box.
Haha “I haven’t seen so many knobs in one place for a long time”
Hasn't been to a concert in some time.
Cheers!

Wow nice copper scraps.
Great job again like always
Nice score! I'v learned a lot watching your video's and I thank you for the Videos!
Great vid. One of your best. Awesome scores that day. Good idea to turn the back of your van into a mobile work area.
. I laughed so much watching how excited you get when you find an exciting find,,,I was going to offer you a smoke after all that.lololololo
Great scrap day for you! Slow weekend here.
Ben i think we are gonna rename you scrapmaster ben....got the knack for this
I'd have grabbed that pile of 'Tote Boxes/Bins' that you passed earlier on but man, what a score! Good on ya.
Wow. You all live in Free Pile Heaven down there!!
We've got free piles here but not like that 8D
@eWaste Ben -
There is even a directly usable SCART-Chinch adapter sticking in the (Euro-AV-) SCART socket on the outside of the TV. SCART made it from western Europe to Australia / NZ (with their Chinese wall sockets ;-) ).

I don't scrap microwaves anymore because no yards in my area will take them due to new laws. They have to do to the transfer station now here where the dispose of them. Great Video.
Do you have any more info on that? I have 3 microwaves I need to get rid of, so I need to figure out where I can take the carcass.
Holy Moly!! You hit the jackpot this day, didn't you? 👍👍👍👍
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing your methods. Trying to get my wife cutting cords. Could you do a video on sorting the cords and show the value of doing it. If you got some time someday. Thanks again
AWESOME bro as always
Great score on those PC's Ben !
If you have not seen so many knobs in one place, you have probably not been to a sitting House of Parliment. Hahaha
That was a 16 Chanel mixing board for live music. You would run your instruments, amps , in and speakers out for your band gig...
I would get a magnetic tray for each side of the van. Just throw the bolts and screws at them and they stick and do not move. You can even have them stuck to to the sides of the van so you don't even have to reach down
When are you gonna do a scrap out video on the amiga 1000
You do know the value of them don't you?
Anywhere from $500-$2000 but it'd be good to see a scrap out video by only using a hatchet and wire cutters
Maybe I should start a go fund me page for the amiga, if enough people cover it's value i'll scrap it but only using a thimble & chopsticks
23:53 There is a vacuum cleaner, with big electric motor➡ copper 😊
29:50 - washing machine electric engine➡ lot of copper
Awesome Ben. I always wanted to see how it will go if you will scrap things on street :) you can do more of these videos time from time :)
vacuum cleaners and fans also have a lot of metals and coper in their motors ... when its electronics or power tools take them whole, not just power cord ... electronic parts have great value too, specialy old ones ... these value parts and pcb are hard to found these days if you are electronics service like me
you should grab those old vcr and vhs dvd combos- they sell easy on ebay, vcrs get around 40, combos can get 100+... just check out sold items if your curious! your channel and positivity are fantastic!!!
Please make a vid when u first start that commodore up !!! :D
0:20 thanx for the always informative videos Ben, whats the weight difference of the 3 transformers?, best way to get copper now are cables then
They all feel about the same, that's why I need to scratch at the wire to tell, it would only be a few ounces difference but every transformer is a different size anyway.
48:30 You missed a giant three copper yoke TV!!!
when i scrap things out i always keep the screws in a little bucket for some reason... idk why XD
Surprised that you didn't pull the speakers. Theres a little copper in those as well that usually easy to get.
Love the long videos Ben.
I wonder if you could scrap stoves and washing machines on the street? Maybe just take the back off and grab the nice beefy copper wire and silver contacts, maybe grab the whole control panel to scrap later. The flat back panels would stack pretty nicely for scrap steel.
If you're going to do that, pull the motor too. At least on dryers, the motor should be easy to get at.
Great score indeed :D :D Great video!
Hello E-Waste Ben! You can sell the knobs from the mixer as a lot on ebay for good money. They break easily so there is demand for them. Also these intel heatsinks go for 10- 15$ each.
Also try hydrogen peroxide to remove the yellow tint from vintage electronics.

Good job !
Incredible scores! Amigas on the curb? I need to move to Melbourne!
Dude you are a mad man
I like this.
Would motors from fans and vacuums be a good source of copper too? As long as there is a practical way to scrap them out. (Maybe scrap them in the van just like the TVs?)
J DeWitt
J DeWitt I do.

That Berhinger , does it works?
1:13:05 looked like a flower pot with copper pipes bypassed?
Nice find!! Suprised you left half the aluminum pots. Some with copper bottoms.
53:54 Minutes, I paused the video to say, if I'm not mistaken the shroud is stainless steel, I removed one about 2 years ago and it has been out in the weather sense and has not rusted! Going back to the video now.
i have a amiga 500 and still using it
wactching again
Get the fans! The copper is easy to get out of them!
I wish everyone in my city just left all their scrap out on the curb like that! Jeez... i have to work for every bit
What do you do with the tubes when u recycle them at ur plant????
I am continually amazed at what people throw away. I bet some of that stuff is easy to repair and once repaired it's worth a lot of money.
The Amiga as well, incredible find. Will you be selling it or making it a part of your private collection?
That will go on my top shelf of PC collectables
Ahh great, it's always nice to find a little something like that. I'm sure it'll continue to increase in value but that's not what it's all about when you're collecting stuff.
Man you guys throw out more stuff there than we do in the US. One time I found a working PCjr at the curb, refurbished it, sold it on eBay.
Ben that TV at 48:13 might have had a quite bit of gold. You were talking about trading cards mind elsewhere!!!
Congrats on the Amiga! I believe that was the first model... later on came the "budget" Amiga 500. While you were collecting cards in the 90's, I was playing with Amigas... :)
