I started playing bass in my dad's quartet group when I was 10 years old which was 47 years ago lol I've played all kinds of music since then but nothing can replace quartet. I love that you know how to lock pocket when you need to, most young guys (on all instruments) today pretty much solo through the entire song as if they are trying to outshine the singers and impress other musicians. God has given you a great gift, use it wisely!

Tyrone Williams of course I actually played around with the song for a hour and a half before I actually was comfortable laying it down, I had different approaches I was going to play, but it came down to what you heard. It usually doesn’t take me that long but for a cover I try and be extra than the original. I would never play it like this in a “Live” venue
