The drawing is fabulous - the addition of the mandalas was a surprise. If you use a bit of solvent on a cotton bud, you can get the pigment of the pencil to go into the grooves of the textured paper. I hope that helps if you use that paper again.
I think you were still able to turn it around and created a great work of art. Paper with that kind of texture can produce a unique characteristic especially if you're making a close-up image so it's easy to render the details even if there's that white texture of the paper coming out. But with a full-body image, it might be extra hard especially when it comes to rendering the face, because of the small area you'll be working on. You still did great for a first-timer at that. Keep it up!🤗🤗🤗

Yea using the wrong paper can be frustrating.. But the final product is impressive after U combine it with ink to the houses at the background and some abstract snowflakes.. And to have the grids of the paper still showing.. It creates a different type of aesthetic too! Overall.. Its simply a beautiful piece of Art! 😊

Brilliant work! Love how you colored the drawing. Your paper looks a bit too high grid for the colored pencils, hence the "little holes/structure". (Someone recommended Bristol paper for colored pencils, if you are looking for something. Haven't tried it yet, though.) Loved the Christmas stories around Ebenezer etc, thank you for drawing him! :)
