Kareem Jabar was the slowest player I ever seen, he's team would wait for him after the rebound, they'd set up , he'd amble down the court, they'd feed him the ball, and he'd do his famous sky hook!
It really is effective in the facts that he explained but I 100% agree its efficient in the fact that he is probably saving so much energy by playing this way. An all star could easily average ~40 minutes per game playing like this. All brakes no gas lol

@@zay_gzs5635 and what’s makes him more deadly he can change speed at any given time and keep the Defense guessing since he has pace he get to where ever he wants on the court
@blaze royal Yup and his speed makes it very unusual. Like in the video, the defender tends to jump first thinking that at that moment, Kyle would have gone up for the layup but to his surprise, after that is the time he would shoot the basketball.
Speed is slightly overrated in the NBA. All things being equal you'd rather be fast, but when you've got the ball, the defender has to react to you. As long as you aren't sloth-slow, you can always use your dribble, ball fakes, pivots, spins...and in Kyle Anderson's case, his length.
Anderson has been one of my favorite players since back when he was on the spurs. I never could understand how he got past defenders lol. It was like magic

I use this same technique, it's really about strength and power in the actual moves rather than speed. It's still fast but in the moment you have time to think rather than Westbrook type speed as shown in the video. Opponents don't have enough energy to block you or stop you because they don't know what you're going to do because they follow the pattern of your movements.
Watching SloMo while in *SAS* I think he developed that type of *SLOW* movement because in the easy open fast breaks he slows down to bait a defender, if they contest it will be an easy And-1 and later just applied it to different type aspects of his game. Definitely gonna miss him in San Antonio he was a great backup forward! always makes right the plays!
