    3:13, 4:16 - Totally unexpected Brendon moments lol. I didn't see that coming. Still hoping for you to come across a vinyl copy of Tarney/Spencer Band's 1979 album Run For Your Life. You will absolutely love the lost classic gem "No Time To Lose."

    I felt warm and fuzzy watching this, not many music stores in my area! Loved seeing the Little Feat album, Brendon! There is a very soothing quality to watching you shop for musical treasure, especially cause you have excellent taste in music, broad and without limits! Your channel has become one of my " go to's " and I thank you for turning me on to some undervalued artists in glam metal and rock music in general! Nice work, my friend.

    Hi Brendon, I noticed that you looked at an England Dan and John Ford Coley record. I saw Dan Seals in an outdoor concert at a winery back in 1999 or so and got his autograph. He was singing country during that time and had some great songs. I have two of his compilation albums and one of my favorite songs is "Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)." He seemed really down to earth and it's sad that he passed away.

      MONTROSE debut one of the greatest in history ( Van Halen, Boston, The Cars, Pretenders, The Doors, The Band ) then.....crapped the bed! Like some of Ronnie's solo stuff, though, and didn't Sammy go on to some success, solo, and with that band with the pretty good guitar player?

    • @4tuneagent
      @4tuneagent ปีที่แล้ว +2

      How can you expect a band to top, or even match, such an epic debut LP as Montrose.?. Paper Money is a progression forward, admittedly not as great, but the title track, "I've Got the Fire", "Starliner", and "Space Age Sacrifice " are all excellent tunes..

    • @treff9226
      @treff9226 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@4tuneagent Those four songs were pretty good, especially I've Got The Fire, but the rest are entirely forgettable and uninspired. Paper Money wasn't going to top or even come close to debut, but it was far weaker than most expected, seemed like a rebellion from Ronnie against the fame coming from the debut.

    • @jazzpunk
      @jazzpunk ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@4tuneagent Well...I bought the debut when it was released. Great...but not "epic" (yet). Over time, yes, absolutely a Classic.
      So, thinking back like a 14-year old, I would want more than the debut. Funds for LPs were tight. Had to choose wisely.
      Aerosmith, Rush...2nd albums better than the 1st. IMHO. Thought the MONTROSE follow-up was less, not more. Am I alone on this?
      But, I think I will revisit PAPER MONEY today. Why not, it's been decades. 🙂

    Hey Brendon, love the work that you do. You may have done this in one of your previous videos, but I am curious what kind of stereo equipment you have in your house that you listen to your many CD's and albums on. I know you don't consider yourself an audiophile, but as one myself I am always interested in the equipment music lovers use. Perhaps you could do such a video. Over the years I have come to two conclusions. First, most CD's from the 80's sound bad. It took until the late 90's and onward for them to really sound good to great. Second, much hard rock sounds better listening through headphones. There is a pair of headphones that I am interested in purchasing when they finally become available in Canada. They are called "Heavy's". They are available for pre-order but I will not be pre-ordering because of the duty, taxes and exchange rate that would apply as a Canadian. Anyway, would love for you to comment on what I have written. Keep up the great content!

    Awsm video..can you make a video on turntable available in stores

    • @BrendonSnyder
      @BrendonSnyder  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There aren’t stores that are just turntable stores so it would be difficult to do. But also since the channel is predominately CD focused I don’t know how interested people would be in it as a whole. That said, there also aren’t CD player stores either so that isn’t an option. But I’ll keep you’d idea in mind and if I figure out an interesting way to do I’ll consider making one. 👍

      @@BrendonSnyder i guess it’s just big city prices? Around here in flyover country, the used CDs & cassettes are $1-2 each. Only vinyl commands those premium prices around here.

    • @BrendonSnyder
      @BrendonSnyder  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes perhaps. But these are prices that have been in place since the early 90’s. Growing up a used CD was $7 or $8. Today they’re still mostly the same price so to me 30 years without inflation seems pretty good. That’s how I gauge it at least. But also you have to take into account what is being compared and make sure that one that is a higher dollar amount isn’t something rare that is being compared to a lower dollar run of the mill album.
