Love my 7-08. I’m shooting/hunting with 120-140 grain range with IMR 4350 for 140gr and Varget with 120gr. I hope that powder works. Amazing price. Great video. Thanks
That’s what I do 4350 140/145 varget 120 s 43.0 varget 45 gr and any 140 not worried about velocities as much as one hole 160 162 rl 15 @36.6 rl19 w 145 speer bt @48.0 one hole 110speer hp w full load of xbr on hole great critter getter Texas I stick to 120/130 4064 is black varget. When u couldn’t get it. Ol stock 4320 one hole also. Have fun great cartridge
I was having the same accuracy results with an older remington 700 sps using 140 gr ,i dropped down to 120 gr nosler bt with imr 4350 . went from well over 3-4 inch groups to around ..5 inch at 100 yds. the remington and bergara b14 both have 1:9.5 twist it needed more velocity with a lighter bullet
Bingo higher velocities that 130 speer boat tail is as good as it gets There flat base I wouldn’t never buy again there q c sucks on the flat base Hornady sst on the cheep and works well no need to hot rod it just get it to shoot straight
I got a Bergara Premiere in 300PRC. In hindsight, the barreled action is great, but I ran into issues with that HMR stock that they share with the lower priced rifles. You should be getting better groups than that. Try taking the action out of the stock and looking for residual cleaning product that may have seeped in on top of the first aluminum pillar if you have not used a proper bore guide to clean. Wipe out that whole stock and the barrel with cleaner (screws too), then re torque those action screws down to spec. If I had to repete my purchase I would have bought the barreled action alone and an aftermarket chassis. On my 300 that stock was such a bad fit that the recoil lug was actually sitting in the middle of the aluminum pocket built for it in the stock. The action was binding on the rear bolt because the aluminum pillar had not been drilled straight and needed to be redone. After a proper bedding job the 220Gr ELD-X are shooting .3 MOA for a 5 round group with fresh Lapua brass (unformed). Personally I wouldn't use pulled bullets for load development with this primer shortage but that's just me, on that note Annealing your brass will likely save you more money in the long run, and give you more consistency getting there. Good Luck!
I can’t wait to see the results. I’ve been thinking about buying some of their powder but I want something a little slower than tac and I want to see how it performs
I been having the same issue with my b-14 hunter model my groups have been looking like yours 2 try to group and the third has a mind of it's own. The best I have gotten so far is.6-.7 inch group. I have been using 139gn sst and now have 100 pieces of fire form brass so hopefully we can figure it out. Best of luck brother. This is just not normal for a bergara.
I have had trouble getting H4350 to shoot consistently well which is in the same burn speed range. I think 7mm-08 needs faster powder like Varget especially with 20" barrels and lighter bullets. My friends Bergara b14 and my howa 1500 both like hornady 140 gr interlocks with 41.5-42.0 gr of varget, shooting sub moa.
Im thinking of getting a jug of mp450. My concern is they say to load a 55g 223 with 26.5 grains. They say it is equal to ram tac and according to my lee reloading data that is way overcharged. Maybe there is published load data from another source which I will be looking for.
To be honest and not waste a bunch of ammo a ladder test for velocity and examining the cases for pressure working up would make more sense. I never go from the bottom up. I usually back off from the top velocity to the safe book load and up from there. When dealing with slow burning powder that fills the case there is little risk in a charge being unsafe to shoot from a good rifle. But it's nice you are being super safe to show on TH-cam they are pretty silly with their rules.
Yep it's the best place for us reloaders, these days ya gotta act quick too, they're more well known now... LiL high octane extruded for your coffee ? 😅
Max book load of Big Game powder, 140 grain Accubond, Lapua brass, and WLRM primer gives me 2850 fps out of a 20” barrel. This load works in about 4 different rifles I load for with great speed and accuracy.
7mm-08 is a very overlook cartridge. Enjoyed!
Have been thinking of adding a 7-08 to my collection. I Think the 300 PRC will come first. Thanks for the info on powder!!

Their wording on the powder jug is a bit unclear. Wonder if they meant reduce max load of RL19 data by 10% and work up from there?

The way you’re doing your testing would drive me crazy. 🤦♂️
I went to their website and they do not have this brand on the website at all.
Thanks for sharing brother, and enjoy watching an I do what you do as well on reloading not the 7mm 08 yet, thanks for the video.

Am Reloading is best bargain anyone can access.
Why don't you have a link?
They don't have it on their website

What powders did you use loading for the 7wsm I can't decide between imr 4350 or imr 4831
go with reloader 22. 63.5 grains w/federal mag.primer thats all you need.
Try it all with Big Game or Varget.
