Two questions... How did you actually go about resigning from the job you had to take the one you wanted? What's a good process to do that? Currently I have a job. in hand, signed the offer. I have time before my start date and am still interviewing with a few other companies. If I get something better, how can I manage that?
Sometimes if the start date with the new company doesn't start for another two or three weeks, in the meantime the other/preferred company may call you before your start date and then you can call the first company...
I interviewed for the company I really wanted at around the same time as the offer I got. I’ve been there for almost 2 weeks and the company I want just gave me an offer. Should I give them my 2 weeks notice on Monday or wait until the many background checks the new company is doing clears first ?!
I will be starting at a new company this September 1st,since I already accepted their offer, but I got a call from the company I really wanted a week after my last interview from them asking if I will be available for the final interview, I thought they will not call me anymore since it has been a week, if that company hires me should I let go of the the first company? and if I do, I really don't know what to say.
There's another video you did where you said you should accept the job offer then go with the other one once they offer you.... Your videos are confusing!
Hi Don! I need ur help! Im in the exact same boat! But i already called Company A (the one i want) and told them i have a offer pending... And they told me i did very well in the interview though they need to interview 3 more people this week b4 any decision is made. I said ok i understand Now... Company B (plan B company) i dont really want to work there... Should i call Company A and say Hey i didnt take the offer so let me know if your still interested in me Or Just let it be?
@@itsmickfressly8874 in my personal experience with this case. I politely declined Company B and then Company A called me the week after stated I was unsuccessful... so i was left with no job.. but I kept on searching and now got a job which is better than both Company A and B. So worked at for me at the end but that 1 extra month of searching I couldn't stop regretting not taking offer from Company B So the decided is yours. Or u can do as Don said take the job then quit I didn't have the guts to do so.
You have to do what is good for you- motto for me. Thanks, Don.
