Being a recruiter myself for the last 16 years, I've observed not many candidates follow these basics. Thanks for sharing this and I hope it will help job seekers to get better and succeed in their efforts.
Whatched your video with 30 questions today. I was on my interview earlier today and i got it!! Very blessed in these times to be able to even get it, thank you😊 My second job interview in my life and my second job offer😍
Hey Don, I gave my plans to a major company (they made me write it down in the form of a test) got to the end of the process. They loved my plan and were “blown away” by it. They went in a different direction and later, implemented my plan, LINE BY LINE, even using my campaign plan. I felt fooled.
Don Georgevich Thanks! It occurred last Friday via Zoom. It was a comfortable conversation that flowed effortlessly. Both interviewers have even responded to my thank you emails using a friendly, casual tone-the first time that’s happened to me. It seems promising but I’ll know more by the end of the week. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Don Georgevich okay, now I’m angry. They offered me the job at ENTRY LEVEL salary. It’s more than my current job but about $7K less than my estimated market value (I hold a master’s degree and professional certification in my field). They won’t negotiate which is often what POC face in the job market. We are just as qualified (if not more) than other colleagues, but largely underpaid because we’re shut out from true negotiations.
I love what you said about a job description being a blueprint of what the company/hiring manager is looking for. When you approach it this way, it enhances your chance of success.
I have an interview in an hour. Pretty well prepped but can use any last-minute tips I can get! Especially appreciate the one about showing your resourcefulness, and enthusiasm, as well as having an openness to more tasks, leadership. Thank you, Don!
I would like to thank you for this video. I am working with a job employment service, and when they are preparing me for an interview, they basically would say make sure you say this instead of helping me with a little more advice or what is the best way to handle questions of their needs. I liked how you explained how to handle the tough questions and how to answer the question of their needs. Thank you
Thank you so much Don for sharing your knowledge with us! I recently applied for a job that I applied before, and I didn’t get it. Thank you to God and your videos, I got a second interview for next week. I will keep you posted 🙏🏼🌷
With Covid-19 standards and with companies time management procedures this is the way interviewing is going. After 15 years of being self employed I've been watching, listening, and about to have my first phone interview today. I feel very prepared, confident, and ready. I recommend watching multi videos from Don Georgevich as I have done to get yourself ready to knock one out of the park.
You helped me nail my last one with my day-of interview prep, luckily this time I'm not as last-minute with it, but let's do this again! I'll let you know again...🤞👍 Edit - I got the job!
Dear Don, Thanks and I have subscribed. By using your tips, i aced my job interview and my new employer is a Fortune 100 company, which is a dream come true for me . Cheers and continue your video sharings !
Love your content Don… easy to digest and you seek to present it in a way that makes learning fun again. Thank you! You would have been my favorite teacher in college 🙂
Big interview today…prepped prior to this video, yet still nervous..not nearly as much as I was before starting watching you a week ago. ! Great information…..Wish me luck!! 🤞🏽🤞🏽
thanks a lot. your approach to preparing folks is completely spot on. I truly like that you place focus on folks to pull from their experiences to respond to interview questions. This ensures confidence and preparedness. It feels natural.
Thank you so much Don! I have been returning back to listen to your advisement, your tips are more relative than other on this channel. Thank you for giving us the tips to ask our future hiring manager!!! You're right! We are no longer candidates, and we should consider ourselves as consultants. Thank you!!!
in other times, I used to dominate the job interviews, but since Covid-19 there is a challenge in the number of applicants, so every single tip count on me to success. I have seen a lot of your videos and I can't find enough words to say THANK YOU!!!
I had a job interview over Zoom yesterday with my dream job. I watched lots of your videos while preparing for days. I waited months for this interview. Everything started great. Then 5 minutes into the interview, the power went out and I lost the job.
I am going into an interview later today. I am so happy I decided to watch this video, hoping I will land this job I really need to get back on my game with my career. Again! Thanks very useful
Thank you sir! Your body language is amazing, clarity good and eye straight. Beyond all these your words were genuine from heart. A genuine try from our side now matters most!!
Another great video and excellent advice Don. Practice, Practice, and PRACTICE... and before you know it, it will all come naturally to you. And you will probably feel better about yourself as well.
The last tip was something that stuck me a bit. How do employers judge non-native speakers (for example, international students) during an interview. They (in general) are not able to sound that enthusiastic/engaged, sometimes even coming off as purely monotonous... Do they give emphasis on speech/accent in these cases? And any tips for improving?
Thanks for all your tips! I certainly think your videos helped me nail down my answers. I got the job and a great boost to my confidence in negotiating salary! Kudos
i think that going through the job description is key. What do you do when one of the statements is something you know you can't do well which is the major key that unlocks the doors???
Hi there. Have been a frequent viewer of your videos. You are specific and detailed. Good job. I had a request. Try making videos on what freshers should do AFTER joining a company. How they should handle communications, assignments, workflow, what they should and should not do etc. basically, all the things one should follow after joining a corporate company since freshers need this guidance. Your strength is that your videos are detailed and long so hoping to get a series on the above with the same time length.
Great request, Armaan! Some are climbing the corporate ladder and when they reach a certain level, they are not quite sure how to properly conduct themselves as the new hire--for example, whether or not they should proactively schedule 1:1 meetings with everyone in the office (especially if it is a small office); perhaps some sort of new hire etiquette series with individual uploads to focus on first-time/new executives, first-time/new managers with direct reports, etc.?
Don than you a lot this is my first time looking your videos, now i understand why i missed so may interviews, i will change my approach to answer these questions.
Wow you got a great way to help people out to feel confident. I wish you do my interviews always. You don't make me nervous. That's my problem I get nervous and forget EVERYTHING 🙃
Had an interview today, went well until this question- what would you like to add that you normally wouldn't put on your resume. After I got off the phone I thought of a perfect one- Skydived, shows risk taking, adventurous personality.
Im trying to get into law enforcement as a corrections officer but im struggling with why I'm chosing a certain sheriffs office when they all basically have the same goal.
I got a job where the lead that was supposed to train us, said, his experience was he worked, at that company, with a guy that came up with brilliant ideas that saved the company lots of time and money and basically did himself out of a job. So my lead concluded that it wasn't worth it doing a good job since in only could (would, in his eyes) cause him to probably lose the job. Sorry to say, that is the attitude and reality of some jobs.
Don, thanks for this passion of sharing your experiences and knowledge. This message gave me to make a deep breath to be focused on my next interview. Thanks a lot your are helping a lot of people. Greetings from Mexico city.
Nice tips. One thing, if you go to a IT job, you can not be a 'different hats person', HR usually think about programmers than they are robots and if they touched another technology they are less qualified than a specialized machine that do only that.
I hope that those people who is watching this are accepted in the Job and landed on your dream job. Good luck to us !
Thank you ❤
