From Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue "Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue is an emergency wildlife hospital, it is a registered wildlife charity that works 24/7, 365 days a year. We rescue, rehabilitate and release our native wildlife. From tiny dormice to the majestic deer and everything in between. We are a small charity, we provide a unique and vital service to our local community as the local hospital to help wildlife. Each of the thousands of animals we help every year has a unique story and a person, who cared enough to stop what they were doing and bring the animal to the rescue centre."
What a great place! I loved the old doors and windows. Ed and that bush gave me a good couple of laughs. Your channel is the best and keep the episodes coming. I subscribed a few weeks back and have notifications on. Thanks for all the great episodes.
Wow, what a find, such a lovely house with so many out buildings and stables just going to waste, another brill explore Alex but I think Pompie should take “ more water with it” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 if he tripped once he must have tripped 5 times, already looking forward to the next one 👍🥰🐾🥰🐾🥰🐾
Gosh. Quite a place. Wouldn’t that be a great buy. Someone could make that lovely place into quite a dream home and stable yard!! Nice find Pompeye and Alex. Never cease to surprise us all. Thank you 🤗😁💜
Hands down my favourite channel , I think is so important to document the past. I definitely want to get into exploring these abandoned places. Great respect to you guys for showing such care and respect.
239th! Your videos are fantastic. I learn so much from each one! The windows with bubbles in glass means it’s very old. More the bubbles the older it is. Slowly glass was perfected, and the bubble problem went away. The very old castles you’ve explored had very bubbly glass. Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA
What a great explore the house and the outside buildings certainly have potential to make it an excellent dwelling. Can’t wait for the next find.👌🏴🇬🇧
I worked for a construction company that also demo'd old homes. My 2 best finds were a religious book dated 1547 printed in London by Green dragon press and a American Civil War Sharps carbine in a cavalry scabbard.
Those horseshoes are nailed above the doors with the open end down so their luck won't run out!Ed says oh it hurts as he trips over a Jews harp!Ed always takes point, he's fearless!
Got to give ED some credit he may dash off at random , but he is not afraid to let obstacles get in his way to explore. What once was and what now is, goes to show how anything can change within any given moment in time.
Really enjoyed this explore - looks such a lovely house and in good condition once all those boxes get removed! Don’t get how so much stuff seems to get left behind, though judging by the way it’s been crammed into one room maybe someone had started clearing in order for agents to take photos - hopefully not of that room!🤣🤣 With all those stables and outbuildings this would make someone a great investment 😊 Great video Alex - well done 👍👍
@@VacantHaven That may have been the entry when the place was built, which could well have been the Tudor period or so originally. People were much shorter then. It may have also been used to let animals into the building. Back in the day (I don't remember the exact time period(s)), it was typical for the family to live in one room and their livestock in another.
What strange contents were packed away in this house. The house looked lovely and I bet it was back in its day. What a lot of land just wasting away. Think Ed needs to take out danger money What with the musical instrument and Bush and nails lol. Loved the explore Alex thank you both.
Brilliant video Alex what a crazy mad place that was don't think no one lived there cos there was no household stuff just masses of stuff wonder where the people disappeared off too so weird and didn't look like an old persons house either, anyway well done enjoyed this thanks for sharing 👍🤘 keep up the good work 👍💖
Yeah it's a strange situation this one! Weird small door, old features mixed with new. And a whole lot of land going to waste. Cheers for watching Hayley
Hi Alex & Ed, I wonder if that house was a repossession by the bank because you have to move out and leave everything for the bank to sell to get their money back which is sad. Ed saying there's thorns Alex say "Wanna push Ed" ? 🤣🤣 With those amounts of stables they probably had their own horses but also rented some of them out to other people to use the stables and land for their horses too, that's why the sign, not responsible for anyone's horses or the people as they should have their own insurance. A really nice piece of land, I wouldn't say no. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 🥰
New subscriber here, what a wonderful explore, lovely house and in relatively good condition, what a shame all the items left behind which leads me to wonder what happened do what I presume was a family living there. They obviously loved animals. Always sad to see a house left like this with all the items left behind.
It does seem odd that these places are just left. Normally if someone dies intestate, and there is no obvious beneficiary, the estate goes on the Bona Vacantia list for 12 years i believe. If no one comes forward then the value of the estate dissappears into state coffers. Since the land has obviously been lying fallow for a while, it would make a nice little organic farm or nursery for some lucky person.👍
Rad, what is a great location in this video, the weather lk beautiful, quiet, peaceful, area.seen this location distance from roadside, this design lk lates day, this item is to longstay cannot besafe, thank you with this video, bless to you all, stysafe, frm..miss.rad.
I love your guys videos, clean language much appreciated it so much.. I also love seeing it from yours, Steve’s, Ray’s, Matt’s point of view when you all explore together, but does Ed( Pompeye) have channel? Hope you see this!!
Thank you Erika very kind of you! Glad you like the explores with the lads, Eddie does have a channel which you can find here th-cam.com/channels/oONaddVVyF3jTk9JddfiTQ.html
Now that was out of the way , but still full of possessions . Thanks for the walk about , would love to find some where like that myself . Till next time , Stuart in Canada ..
Wow..... Lots of stuff in here. This is still pretty good house in pretty good shape looks like. Love the big horse 🐴 stalls. Could always rent them out to horse boarders i guess. The cameras may be there to deter vandals maybe
Brilliant lads keep up the good work, showing us our history do a " hunt" around Bedfordshire, and Cambridgeshire the amount of places I find as I do my walks. But lads brilliant
That was a great little explore, interesting looking house, wonder why the low ceilings and back door, maybe the people living there were not that tall?👍🇨🇦
You have found your basic hoarder house. It's possible the owner was injured or killed by the stuff, or got sick and no one found him in time, and he was thus removed from the property and the stuff all left behind. Maybe he didn't recover enough to ever go back home, and had no heirs.
Nice explore guys, think the upkeep and maintenance on that place just got too much for the owners as it all needs knocked down and start again now. Couldn't believe Ed just put that thing in his mouth 😄🤢 Thanks for having us, till next time tara 😘😊
Definitely very expensive, and I guess it may have relied on donations? And yeah I wouldn't be putting those things in my mouth! Cheers for watching 😁👍👍👍
I believe the animal sanctuary that was on the giant cheque is still going, but unfortunately not a lot i can find on this place, thanks for watching Vicky
If I watch i allways leave a comment its the polite thing to do after you take the trouble to share your finds with us its a massive lot of land i wouldn't like to be the one to clear that lot out it would take a few days great find both .
you find some interesting places, but wish you would look up some history before you go, bit frustrating, being so curious about these fascinating finds, would love to know more. I do love a good story.

Cheers Marilyn, yeah I couldn't work out the small door. I've never come across it. Maybe a Hobbits Extension 😁👍
If the house is old then way back in time people would have been very short , A woman of five ft.five would have been considered tall ..
I’m in the states, subed a while back, what amazes me in these places is the carpet, it’s different from the old homes here. It’s beautiful
This is such an interesting one, how strange, I wonder if they may have had a couple businesses going

What a lovely secluded place away from everyone. I’d love it
Why did they leave, where I live by the time I had hit the 30 year mark, I have already paid more for property taxes than the house cost.
Looks like a film set,no broken machinery.x
That first box you touched that was black 🖤 with flowers painted on top was a glove box I believe only because I've got one😊

I would say they had an animal charity shop. All the house is filled with stock. When you see the bathroom downstairs you see all the shelving
