What a charming house in a beautiful area! I enjoy it too. I wish I could live out there! Your work & videos improve with every video you do & narrate.
In Sweden it is easy to find out who owns a property, so you can ask the owner if you can visit the place. It is common for some doors to be unlocked on houses, in places far from towns and villages. if the key hangs visibly on a nail, you know they are not at home, and if the key is in the door lock, they are nearby. If you enter someone's house, even if it's unlocked, you're committing a crime, even if you're just curious and photographing what you see. You are allowed to walk in the forest, if you stay more than 200m from a house.

This is what I love about your channel. You are so respectful of the items in abandoned homes. This house gives me a mesum vibe. They really should do that. My great great grandparents came from Sweden to raise a family in Texas. They had 13 siblings. Back in those days, the family lived on the farm in Georgetown, Texas. I don't know if they ever met this family. *shrugs*
This was very interesting to see and listen to as a Swede. Also reading the cruise information letter was cool which is a price list and route list (is that correct word for english?). Its close to the same Swedish as today, but minor differences with spelling with words and lines. Also they mention they had Swedish crew members, classic Swedish food for all classes and medical services. The passengers will also be around a lot of Swedes to comfort the travel. They seem to have taken 3rd class into a better experience with use the deck for walking, nice dining room, lounge and cabins.
I haven't been following you the past few month due to family issues and I watched your scary episode in Russia and this one. Sam seems to be a nice young man. I can tell right away. Keep up the great work Leslie (and Sam)

Hello! @13:56, it is easier to see thru the camera , that the door is faux painted to the type of wood they liked. This was done even in America. And that included the very rich. The underground structure you went into was a root cellar. My Swedish immigrant Great Grandfather built one like that into a hlll under ground using rocks with a door and roof to store potatoes, carrots, cabbage, beets, apples etc. on the farm I grew up in Idaho, USA. He bought the farm in 1889.

I just stumbled upon to your video and when I saw it was from Sweden, I got curious as I’m from the same country. It got even more interesting when I saw the local newspaper ”Borås tidning” in the video as I live in Borås (a town east of Gothenburg). Thank you for letting us see this and hearing your thoughts about living in Sweden at the time…..
Wow Lesley, Sam what an explore. I love this wonderful little place frozen in time. The White Star line information sprung my attention immediately of course to the sinking of the Titanic. Of course, it's common knowledge to see names of individuals who died at sea from the sinking of the Titanic. There is this same name on the list, {the date of his departure doesn't match this man though} but he has a very common name it seems. So, who can say if it is any kinship to him. Thank you for always exploring these wonderful places with the greatest of respect for the owners. I love the Swedish homes I can say that it must had been viscously cold there in the winter of course and not an easy life but yet that is what they were used to, and they knew what it took to live in this place very resilient people. Thank you for showing us this lovely place and the history of how life was in such times.
I have been collecting bottles for 32 years. What i would give for those left behind!! I got a few from under a 200 year old building a few days ago!! Love rescuing old garbage ❤
Merry Christmass and happy new year bros. This is a nice old home. These people were happy here. I wonder why they left. We will never know. I dont think there ever comming back. God only knows what happend to these people. I think there where we will all be someday. Stay safe you guys and thank you for all your work.
Maybe they became too old and sick and could not live alone there any more without electricity and all work to take care of and heat up that place during the winter.

Very interesting. I found letters from my great aunt on stationery from the White Star Line Adriatic. The letters dated in the 1930s. I loved what you found! Why is no one smiling in any of the old pictures? I guess I wouldn’t smile either if I didn’t have a bathroom to use. Love watching!❤

What a lovely house. So nice to see all the old fashioned furniture. Also the old radio. Furniture was made to last. The wallpaper is very beautifull and special. A great pity that this house has been left with everything in it. All memories😢💗💗.

This is absolutely fantastic 👏, thank you SO much for showing us such a fascinating beautiful place ❤️ I just love your voice..so soothing and goes perfectly with the subject matter... again.. utterly amazing 🙏💫❤️ xxx
Awesome houses thanks I enjoyed watching
The underground structure you went into was a root cellar. My Swedish immigrant Great Grandfather built one like that into a hlll under ground using rocks with a door and roof to store potatoes, carrots, cabbage, beets, apples etc. on the farm I grew up in Idaho, USA. He bought the farm in 1889.
Beautiful, such a pity it’s present owners don’t stay occasionally and breathe life back into this lovely home.
This is such a beautiful home in a beautiful location
I cannot believe how well preserved everything still is.
Interesting to see you exploring houses in my country Sweden! Very nice.
Hope you had a Merry Christmas and praying for a exciting 2025 with more exploring and exciting videos, your content is always awesome and you truly give all the places respect even thou they are abandoned ❤ Thank you from 🇺🇸
I just stumbled upon to your video and when I saw it was from Sweden, I got curious as I’m from the same country.
To naprawdę fascynująca historia! Opuszczony dom Johana i Anny Svenssonów to prawdziwa kapsuła czasu, pełna tajemnic i piękna. Ich życie, marzenia o Ameryce i powrót do Szwecji tworzą niezwykłą opowieść, którą warto odkrywać. Dziękuję za podzielenie się tą historią!
Блгодарю Лесли за такое душевное видео! С наступающим Новым годом! Пусть новый год принесёт вам интересные, захватывающие приключения!
Amazing! Thank you so much. Happy New Year!
Riding my e bikes is the most exciting part of exploring in my opinion. ✅

Wow amazing thank you 🙏 so much history. The little house was rather strange though.
It was not customary to smile in photos!
Happy New Year guys. Another amazing discovery , I love how you bring these people to life.
So respectfull, so great! Great video :)
That place is amazing I can't believe how preserved all of those pictures were
