@@TSYgamernew did you set your 'rate control' to CQP? And preset to Very Fast? Also in your Video settings set your Common FPS value to 30 or 25 if you already haven't.

Thanks! You can check my streaming setting videos as well. I go over the best settings for everyone really. You might have to use x264 instead of NVENC since I don't think it's supported on that GPU.

Good Video i was struggling with my settings. I use 2019 macbook pro. I use x264 and 18000 cbr frame rate with very fast quality. It seems to be in good shape now.
I have a dell G15 i5 11th gen 24gb vram and rtx 3050 4gb, with a ultra wide 1440p monitor hooked up to it(for sim racing). for native on desktop it stands on 1440p in games i set it to1080p, other wise im at 30 to 40 fps in most games. On 1080p i get mostly in between 60 and 120fps. I noticed the system isn't using the integraded graphics at all. Is there any way to use this one for recording and streaming? The cpu usage is normally around 70% without recording and streaming. But it gets unplayable when i set it on x256.

Always record to mkv and then remux to MP4. If anything happens, your mkv file won't get corrupted like the mp4 one will. I also recommend CQP more than CBR for recording
for some reason when i try to view the footage it says i need an "extension" to view HECV recordings and when i import it into my editing software it just says "MEDIA OFFLINE"

I have followed the instructions on this and many other vids and experimented and I still get EXTREME lag while recording. I don't know how to fix so if you got suggestions let me know. Btw i use the Acer Aspire 5 laptop without any modifications
Uh i have a 2015 asus X556U notebook pc with 2GB of RAM is this gonna work Edit: I got a new laptop now so there's no point in replying to this now And also the old laptop had 12GB of RAM not 2 I typed it wrong (I edited it now)
Tbh the best thing to do is just save $ guys and get a laptop or pc that can run obs smoothly and correctly , I done watched 20 different videos and nothing is helping
@@Whipaa for 1440p recording if you use the same pc for recording, than minimum bitrate is 40000 kbps. For 1080p 25000 kbps for 720p 14000kbps. And set the lowest quality (fastest renderer settings).
iI don't recomend to all viewers to use obs . I have i tried to use this obs so many times in different resoulation but it did not record gaming display capture very blurry , shakey, stucking and poor quality
That's COMPLETELY inaccurate. If you have a decent PC, you can record/stream and game at the same time without any issues, especially with the new technologies like NVENC and AV1.

@@Agenterino In my interpretation, low end pc has a 10-15 years old 4 or 8 Core cpu, which equal a Ryzen 3 1200 or i7 7000 series, which is not suitable for gaming and recording with obs in 1080p at the same time.But if you have Quicksync igpu and a dedicated nvidia or AMD gpu, maybe Its possible. Recording via Quicksync, playing via nvidia/AMD. Only this way maybe works.
I have tried getting my recordings to not lag forever and it still doesn't work. I have watched many videos and followed instructions like this one and it still lags very badly (just sitting there I get around 50 fps and when I move in game it drops to like 15 and has huge lag spikes that make the video unwatchable. The game I am recording is Minecraft and I want to make SMP videos. I have the lowest possible settings on the game and many mods that help with fps. Can you think of anything that could help with these issues?

Some editing software might not support that format and you might need a plugin that allows it

Your PC is bottlenecking. Lower some game settings or something so you maintain 60 fps.
