    FANTASTIC! I'm so tired of keto enthusiasts telling people to eat 400g of fat! Eating a lot of fat was okay for me to get adjusted in the beginning, but continuing to do it day after day will make you gain

    When i first began my journey 2yrs ago no carb And high fat is now ingrained in me so now im focusing on protein as my goal loweing my fat and carbs.im 52yrs old lost my first 50lbs at 50yrs old 57lbs total.I love the way keto makes me feel!

    How to eat out on keto. Do you count leafy greens and cruciferous veggie in your total carb count? I all of a sudden had cravings for walnuts and almond butter. Is this because I need more salt? If you have a healthy craving do you give your body what its asking for? Hair loss? How to not be afraid of eating different foods. I seem to eat the same foods daily as not to go over on my macros. Thank you. I love the videos!

    I don't like weighing out all my food, or tracking it, it takes a lot of time. I love keto, but I think I eat a few too many carbs. I have started working at not eating as much fat though. Thank you for your videos, they are great!

    I just bought your 30 Day Cleanse (amazon) and Art of Fat Loss (your website) completed my macros with your calculator so I am hoping to be successful. I been having a tough time, my weight is not dropping very fast. It has literally been a nightmare. I have tried everything from ACV, MCT, egg fasts, beef and butter fasts, etc. My weight loss with all these has been very minimal, did not loss as 99% of followers had. Thanks I have been watching all your videos , what great information. 🤩🤩🤩

    I would love to see a video on how to get all the nutrients needed with very low carbs. I seem to always be going over my carbs, and yet what I'm choosing are veggies.

      Hi Cheryl, I am using vegetable carbs always remember to deduct the fiber off your amound of carbs , you only count net carbs. (2 cups of kale gave me 12g of carbs which is = 7 g net carbs and 5 fiber. so i counted that as only 7 g of carbs.

      Actually we count total carbs. We find people over do carbs when counting net.

    It's important to note that 80% fat was also used on epileptic patients. It was NOT a fat loss protocol

    Keep them coming. Two of you together is awesome. Would like more info about kids in keto like what supplement do they need if at all, what should I pay attention while feeding them and so on. Also to someone who can't afford privet testing for allergies or SIBO etc' , what signs should one pay attention to or if you have other idea that can work for me to identify what is wrong. And....     So, you guys are basically saying the opposite of Leanne Vogel. She says to eat at tdee and you all recommend eating pretty low calories and I honestly am afraid of the negative effects of that...hair loss,muscle depletion and metabolic damage.So, can you talk to us about these issues please?       Hair loss happens when you don't get enough protein. We explain this in our book Keto. If you get enough protein none of this will be an issue. :)

      I started losing a lot of hair when doing calorie restriction (1100 - 1400kcal a day) on high protein (120g or more). Now I'm eating more fat and the hair loss has stopped.

    Based on the concept of targeting negative fat flux, which of your cookbooks do you recommend to target weight loss specifically? The following seemed to make sense but I wasn't sure which one had more recipes or meal plans that targeted a negative fat flux by using less dietary fat in the recipe itself:

    Very helpful info, thanks! I have subscribed and saved your website in my favorites as well!! Don't know if you can, but a video on post gastric sleeve surgery and keto would be good, as I underwent gastric sleeve on May 23, 2019 and I have lost 100 lbs already, but NOTHING for the past 2 months and 1/2...hence me wanting to give Keto a try. So far, all I have read and heard about Keto is very appealing to me and I see myself living the Keto lifestyle! I am still in the early stages however, gathering necessary food items and clearing out my pantry of non keto friendly foods LOL, mentally preparing myself and talking about it with my family and close friends.

    What about female hormones with use of an IUD? I haven’t seen you talk about that if it’s an issue or not? My gyn tells me it’s just fine and won’t effect my weight or hormones at all. I’m almost 48 years old.

      You have to read the notes at the top of the calculator and adjust the body fat % until it puts you in your protein target range 🙏

    Thank you so much for doing what you do. You really helped me understand keto/ketosis better. One question, okay, two.... Some "keto experts"say calories do NOT count, do they? I believe they do. Question 2.. Ive met all macros and am still under over 200 calories. How do I get those calories in? Actually, I'm really close to meeting my macros, Do I need to hit 1436 calories? I'm trying to focus on the protein and meeting that macro, didn't quite meet the fat limit, should I meet it? I did use your calculator.

      Thanks! Calories do matter. You can gain weight with keto. By the composition of the calories also matters.
      Never eat if not hungry. The only goal you want to reach each day is protein. Carbs and fat are limits. :)

    Hi Maria & Craig....I just read your book Keto and absolutely love it! I have one question....I typically eat only one meal a day and I do some alternate day fasting. If I only eat one meal a day, is it ok to eat all my protein at once, or is less protein ok because you don't want to eat too much at one meal? Thank you :)

      No truth to it. When keto adapted your body can use dietary fat and body fat equally. Eating less dietary fat just means using more body fat for fuel. Which is fat loss. :)

    I would like to hear more on Protein sparing modified fasting. On page 88 you recommend 1.0 per pound of LBM. If I go over that will that effect my progress. Do you recommend to eat once a day on the protein fast or should you eat protein when hungry?

      My doctor says I have insulin resistance. My fasting glucose is 109 and she would like to see it at 80-90. She also says I have Estrogen Dominance. Are there any supplements to help with this? (Side note: My cholesterol went DOWN 90 POINTS on Keto!!! Yay for Keto!)

Im tired of making mistakes on that diet. 6 months , 17 g total carb and gained 6 kilos. We all speak about gram for carb but never for the fat . Why ??

    Super helpful. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with the amount of Keto advice going around....so much so that I often want to give up because I’m not getting the results I’m looking for. Thank you, I feel a little more free today. Also, would you consider doing a video on grass fed, organic, free range meat and fats? I’m concerned I’m damaging my body when I don’t consume these things, but I’ve got a large family and we can’t always afford the good stuff. This is another thing that makes me want to give up. Thank you....I’m planning on getting your book soon 😍

    I find I need equal amounts of fat to protein to stay fully satiated all day, which then naturally leads on to intermittent fasting without even trying to do it lol.
    For e.g: If I were to eat say around 100g of fat and 100g of protein (roughly equivalent to 1lb of 95% lean minced beef prior to cooking) I can literally go all day without needing to eat another thing.
    Whilst I've found if I lower protein to increase fat, or say I eat just lean protein with vegetables I don't stay as satiated for nearly as long.
    Another interesting thing I've found is if I eat a large amount of protein in one sitting my blood sugar will raise but only temporarily, and I NEVER get booted out of ketosis! I still end up with high ketones which surprised me.

    Could you talk about eating keto while working shift work (mix of nights and days-I personally work 12 hour shifts as well)? I've read a lot about how it's very hard or even impossible to get into ketosis if you work nights because of the implications it has on your circadian rhythms and hormone (cortisol/leptin) levels? I'm really struggling with this right now and there really isn't too much information out there on this topic, specifically related to eating keto. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

    I would love to hear about cholesterol. I have very high cholesterol and started doing Paleo and definitely feel better eating this way, but I've been very curious about Keto and love watching your videos. I love eating more fat than I used to, but feel nervous about going full on Keto.

    I did the keto calculator on Maria Mind Body Spirt. For the results, should I meet that protein number daily? With the fat result , is that the max grams I should ever do in a day? Carbs are 20 or below.

      Yes, protein is a goal. Fat is a limit. That or less.

    Ive repeatedly tried to email but it wont send. Do you have a snail mail addy that I can send you a copy of my bank reciept for the book I ordered but never received?     Thank you for all of the information you are providing! Your books, website, and now videos are so helpful! I am just starting my keto journey (about 4 weeks in). Because of where my body is starting from, I am not sure that I am adapted to where my body is doing a good job of utilizing stored fat. I am however losing weight and body fat % each week. I track my macros based on your keto calculator and practice time restricted eating. I also try to exercise 1st thing in the am after only consuming water. Are there indicators of being fully fat adapted? I know it can take time. Thanks again!!

      If you keep carbs to 20g or so a day you will be fat adapted within a few days and feel the full benefits of it within 4-6 weeks. :)

    Hello Maria and Greg, I started the Ketogenic diet 2 months ago. my body had been playing with the same 5 lbs for 2 months up and down). I am pre-diabetic and post-menopausal. 48 years old, 5"7' 185 lbs, (my goal is 150 lbs) my macros are 20g of carb or less from vegetables (kale, avocado, spinach) I am in need of a lot of information about my health issues and how to loose weight effectively. and what supplements can help my hormones.     I agree with the fat loss you explain, BUT, people forget that KETO WAS NOT MADE TO LOSE WEIGHT!.... That’s why the rule 80-25-5% keeps confusing people that want to loose weight forgetting this was not made for weight loss

    I have fallen victim to a lot of the same issues that she spoke about. Rather than lose, I have gained weight. But I have been trying all of your recipes and there’s not one that I don’t like.
