I have been on every diet out there. Tried fasting, intermittent fasting. Changed course sooo many times. I vowed to myself that in 2024 I was going to lose weight and clear up some health issues. It wasn’t until Feb 7 that I stumbled upon you from another Instagram page that was touting your lasagna. I researched you and that day immediately starting incorporating your advice. I have consistently lost a pound or more every day since I started on the 7 th. I have until March 5 where my daughter and grandkids are visiting me and I have a feeling they are going to be shocked. I cannot believe how this is working. Nothing has ever for me. I feel so optimistic and the health issues have all but disappeared. I go to bed with so much excitement of what the scale is going to say when I wake up. I’ll tell you I was so confused on the many versions out there on how to lose weight. I did not know what to think or do. Now I know! I am so grateful for finding you Maria, you are giving me my life back.
Started in sep 2023 . Didnot loose a pond but got plenty of energy . I was eating nuts and dairies ( plenty ) . One day I heard you talking about dairies and nuts and stop stuffing myself of theese . I started keto in 2016, I lost over 80 pounds, then hit a wall after a year or so in, i was working out at orangetheory, doing yoga and walking every day. If I knew about psmf then I'd have broken right through that plateau, i know so much more now. I have put back on about 25 pounds since 2020, I could give you all the excuses but i wont. My 49th birthday is in 9 more days and this is my gift to myself, carnivore challenge to jumpstart and be my BEST!
Your story is similar to mine. Carnivore challenge for me for three months starting today Jan.1. Then probably ketovore from then on out. Good luck. We can do this!
Also similar to mine started in 2016 lost around 70 hit a wall gave up tracking and have been trying different "versions" of keto. Even carnivore for 90 days with only a pound or two loss. I have tried a few psmf days, and it is the only thing that has moved the scale. Just get a bit discouraged with it because it feels like an old restrictive diet again. I am recommiting again this year and am going to work on making the psmf meals more exciting. Onward and upward forward but never straight. Good luck on your journey. 😊
I ventured into Keto last April while I was getting Neurofeedback therapy to help my brain heal from a past TBI. Everything came together and I felt AMAZING for the first time in 6+ years. I came out of keto in August, and I've now come to the full realization that I should just stick with keto. So today is day 1, and I'm looking forward to feeling good again.

I’ve been keto for 5 years now. I was able to come off of antidepressant and anxiety medications, as well as two medications for my Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have zero inflammation, clear skin, and feel incredible everyday. I did a year of carnivore, which I enjoyed, but now I do a low carb, low fat, high protein version that’s helped me to really lean out and feel my most optimal. Keto is absolutely sustainable and can be tweaked and dialed in depending on your bodies needs, goals, and season of life.

I had to start tracking in chronometer . I watch my mood & sleep as I track .I need dark berries & kefir before bed . I take magnesium as well . I got very malnourished in October finally gained ten lbs and keeping it on with eating more calories , quit caffeine and added breakfast .I need about 1800-2500 calories a day . I was drinking coffee all day and eating a pound of ground beef or nothing at all .that’s why I was plummeting weight now I’m eating a lot and often . Stopped fasting . Feeling so much better . Diet is beef, lamb , avocado , cucumber , onion , garlic , dark berries, raw milk , kefir and that’s all

Last December I started eating high fat, high protein, low carb, and within three weeks I discovered I no longer needed my medication and thousands of dollars worth of supplements a year that I relied on for fifteen years to sleep at night! I think the thing that amazed me most about eating mostly all protein is that I found out I am not an overly emotional person. I’m actually pretty even and like one comment said above, it can pretty much wipe out mild depression. Even in the men in my family, I see that when they eat mostly protein, there’s not a lot of depression there or just general “blues”. I appreciate your suggestion of eating leaner proteins when you still need to lose weight, because so many times with keto advice they say to add a bunch of fat or to eat fattening meats. I know we need some fat, but I’d rather burn the fat in my body as I still have about 100 pounds to lose. Thank you again for everything you do!
I am fairly new to keto/ketovore. I’m 73 and have had an energy boost like I haven’t had in a long time. I still need to learn a lot as I’m diabetic snd and talking to my Dr tomorrow about getting rid of insulin. Hi Maria, I’m 57 and began my journey with keto approximately five years ago with my primary goal of preventing Alzheimer’s, and dementia, which is extremely prevalent on both sides of my family. So is longevity. Seven-year-old grandmother just passed away in December 20 twenty3, and was physically very healthy, but couldn’t even tell you her name due to Alzheimer’s. Long story short, my short term memory had already been getting really bad and this has completely resolved. Now my goal is to prevent ever getting, one of these cognitive diseases. I am 56 and when I started this I was at my heaviest weight of 143 pounds. In August 20 20 I did super strict keto and OMAD And got down to 119 and 20% body fat. I currently am 27% body fat and 125 pounds. I’m going to try doing less fat and more protein and see what happens.

Hi Maria! Just wanted to let you know that I didn't feel like cooking yesterday for New Year's Eve, so I just waited and had my feast for New Year's Day, instead! I had made your meatballs (the Mama Maria's) for Christmas and froze half of them, uncooked. I had those and your Mushroom Casserole and a few fermented, pickled veggies (asparagus, cauliflower, tiny carrots and pearl onions). Heaven! (Clearly, I'm not doing the Carnivore Challenge. 😉 I eat ketovore which, for me, mostly looks like Carnivore, anyway, except for seasonings and tomatoes or tomato sauce) Hope you had a wonderful New Year's Day!
I have been keto since 2013. My children are both adopted. I made their formula using Westin a price methods and then switched them to keto as much as possible. My son is autistic and also had pyloric stenosis so has some feeding challenges however. He was 0.3 on the weight chart and 12% height chart. He is now almost six and is 96% height and 84% weight. He is thriving. Even though he still has some autism traits people are generally shocked if I tell them he’s autistic. He is friendly, loves to give affection and his meltdowns are much fewer and far between. Our daughter is mid 80 on height and weight, extremely intelligent and active. I think it has done them both a world of good and my being keto really does help me to be a better mother physically and emotionally. The biggest non weight related change I have found is the fact that I wake up on my own before my alarm and want to get up. That has never happened since I was a child.
I have been keto since August of 2019 last year I tried the high fat carnivore big mistake. I have excess fat to burn so I ended up gaining. I am now back following the guidance of yourself and your ultra smart hubby Craig. Love all your videos. A day in your life is just that, your life I really don't care if your hair is done or not i am more interested in how you live.
I have been on and off(more off) Keto for 3 years. Keep trying and giving up. Mostly because I was sensitive or allergic to everything that was on a typical Keto diet. Most sweeteners were corn based(allergic to corn), couldn't tolerate dairy, I am allergic to nuts, and sensitive to coconut! I was getting frustrated being on the diet for months at a time and only losing 5 pounds. I recently went Carnivore and lost 10k pounds in a couple months. Better, but not great. Going to do some fat fast days and see if that makes a difference, although I am already doing mostly lower fat. I am optimistic this time, that it will work.

I went keto 5 years ago after 3 hip surgeries, down 90 lbs thanks to the Emmerich’s keto and PSMF. My husband lost 80 lbs and together we have gotten off our blood pressure meds, I’ve gotten off my depression meds, gabapentin for pain, he has MGUS the precursor for Mutiple Myeloma and his Mspike numbers have gone down not up. I feel better at 47 then I did at 38! I feel like the Emmerich’s saved my life!

I live in UK and type 2 diabetic. The nurse at my GP practice still tells me to eat oats for breakfast, brown bread sandwiche for lunch and pasta or rice for dinner! 😮 Madness! I don’t argue with them anymore I just nod and carry on with my keto. My Hba1c has halved 🎉
Did keto from your book, keto adapted, back in 2014 and it was amazing and then I maintained for a couple years and then started doing dirty keto and nothing’s gone right since lol is your program now like keto adapted program? I did do carnivore in 2022 for 3 months, I did cut out all the oils, and still maintain that, however, I stopped doing carnivore, because I was (TMI ALERT)I was pooping sludge, the entire time, and the high protein was making my blood sugars go way up, I had to eat almost all fat. No answer as to why.
@@craigemmerich every time I had too much protein my blood sugars would go up into the 130s but when I ate a lot of fat they stayed down in the 90s so I was eating carnivore at that point and just eating meat mostly steak red meat because that’s my favorite and I did have chicken wings

a new subscriber! I've been carnivore for 8 months and have been very unwell. I'm pre-diabetic and 61, vegan/vegetarian for 43 years. 5 months in to carnivore and my HBA1c went up. I reduced my protein and upped my fats as I thought ketosis was the goal and my blood sugars were elevated on higher protein. 80/20 kept my blood sugars lower and my ketones up. I'm interested in your perspective on this (someone suggested I look at what you do) so I'll definately be exploring your work. Oh and I've put on 12lbs in those 8 months. I was slim to start and now I have fat where I really don't want it.
I’ve done this too. Gained 30lbs on carnivore. I think I need more carbs to stimulate insulin but I don’t know. I did great on keto. Not so good on carnivore.

And have lowered fat and increased fat and nothing is working. Fasting insulin is 4. I read in the absence of insulin protein will turn to glucose. That seems true with me.
I have been trying to do Ketovore- eating mostly meat and minimal salad and veges. My Rheumatoid Arthritis is so much better, hardly ever have pain, it's amazing! I struggle with sugar cravings and I am challenged by family who I live with that eat cakes, chocolates etc and leave them in the fridge or on the kitchen counter where I can see them. I ma normally strong but now and again will eat something I know I shouldn't. I am trying to give up Sprite-Zero Sugar as I think this is stalling my weight loss. I’ve been keto since 2017. My biggest challenge is Ranch. I LOVE ranch dressing on everything but haven’t found a recipe that really works or tastes good enough to scratch that itch.
Back on track after 8 month of Keto pause…. I was 1year on keto, lost 15kg felt super good…exept of the fact of having to control every meal… within 3 months I regained the 15kg back😔super sad and tired… now I give it an other try again…knowing that it worked on the past but also aware and scared about falling back into the jojo effect... Homemade beef jerky is the best if you snack on that as Maria suggested but pls be careful if you want to buy it. I have learned recently many brands, even the brand that says ZERO SUGAR on it has maltodextrin which is worse than sugar.

The amount of Vitamin C needed is directly linked to how many carbohydrates are in your diet. So people on a well formulated low carb diet naturally do not need as much vitamin C and therefore usually satisfy the requirement with their regular diet without the need for supplements :)
Just started keto a few weeks ago, already down 15lbs (started at 225lbs 6'4") and looking to get to maybe 175-180lbs or so, then go into a more maintain and strengthen. I think my largest issue so far, besides the worry of my gout and HBP, was the lack of snacks as I am on THC for backpain, from just wrecking my body in sports young, and then abusing said body with drink (was going to be a brewer) and just steak and potatoes for like a decade. WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN that drinking all beer and eating nothing but steak and potatoes would get you gout !?!?!? 9.9 Anyways, since starting, I got through the start with my allopurinol to make sure no gout flares started, and I have kept on 300mg of it since (normal dosage for me), but seeing the effects after I got into Ketosis and I guess it started to burn the uric acid, my usually affected parts have been pain free completely, no swelling... an occasional "warm feeling", gout sufferers know the one before a possible flare, but that is all, just a minor warm feeling, perhaps from eating too much red beef (like ribeye!) in a day, but *NO* flares at all! My avg heart rate has increased, but my blood pressure seems to be normal, or "healthy" as the doc says. I plan to get blood taken sometime later to check on all my levels of... well everything, but mostly my uric levels and cholesterol. Enough jabber, I found your videos when looking for something sweet that will not break the bank or the carbs. Really appreciate the videos!
Yep, and coffee mate is the only creamer my in-laws use. I don’t even think they have any dairy in them, (maybe non fat milk, which isn’t good either), I always point out they are made with seed oil and I even buy them different creamers to try. For example, a Dairygold creamer made with only cream and *some* sugar - no seed oil. I know sugar isn’t good either BUT for the sake of just cutting out seed oils and fake ingredients, I’d like them to at least try the creamer with 2 ingredients and not 50. They still prefer the coffee mate. Ugh. 😩
After a few attempts with carnivore I lost 40 lbs from Jan 2023 to August 2023, nothing since then. I am 64 years old, have zero menopause symptoms, but my sleep isn't good and I still have 100 lbs to loose. Any advice?
What are your blood sugar levels? A little higher blood sugar isn’t always bad. If it leads to more fat loss then you are going in the right direction. Also, if you increase protein but don’t also lower the fat, that will lead to higher blood sugars in the morning. Cut the fat a bit when increasing protein.

I lost 120#s keto. Went carnivore and gained 30 back. Can’t seem to get my protein up without glucose spikes. When I try to increase my protein I gain weight. 😢
I have done dirty keto before with varying results and then last April i decided to do carnivore with psmf days. My protein was always really high. But in August i still atarted to lose a lot of hair and hair loss went through ahout November. I am mot saying keto did that but any weight loss usually triggers telogen effluvium and there is nothing you can do for 3-6 months. Hair loss stopped and is coming back.
I am 3 months in but the last month I have removed dairy (allergies I HAVE to pay attention tonow...no more letting it slide... My body has made sure of that). I was doing just fine enjoying keto.... Until we're moving dairy. Now, Alllll I think about is food.... I miss cheese, Milk, Heavy Cream, Butter, Yogurt.... I miss it all. It's making eating very unenjoyable. I just feel sad. Even removing the dairy.... My weight loss has stalled In addition to This being an enjoyable way to live.

I lost 20lbs on keto about 10 yrs ago ( and reversed my diabetes) but it's slowly come back on & I feel like my body is more sensitive than ever to even most artificial sweeteners. Trying to figure how to get back down. I ride a bike 4 days a week about 10 miles each time..but it doesn't help..love it though

You're welcome! Dairy and nuts are just very inflammatory, very nutrient dense (FAT and CALORIES with little protein) and don't satiate like animal protein. They can easily stall weight loss and slow or prevent healing if those are goals :)

I started in October 23. I had come off Weight loss injections with only 2kg weight loss over 20 weeks. I was amazed about the real foods I could eat AND I lost 6 kg. I put on 2.5 the week after xmas and have started again to start losing. The week when I was half doing keto, I felt terrible. I have just gotten your free psmf meal plans. This time around without any plans, I have started fasting. I also am glad you mentioned, avocado's. I feel like I'm forced to eat them to get my fats in!
I have been on every diet out there. Tried fasting, intermittent fasting. Changed course sooo many times. I vowed to myself that in 2024 I was going to lose weight and clear up some health issues. It wasn’t until Feb 7 that I stumbled upon you from another Instagram page that was touting your lasagna. I researched you and that day immediately starting incorporating your advice. I have consistently lost a pound or more every day since I started on the 7 th. I have until March 5 where my daughter and grandkids are visiting me and I have a feeling they are going to be shocked. I cannot believe how this is working. Nothing has ever for me. I feel so optimistic and the health issues have all but disappeared. I go to bed with so much excitement of what the scale is going to say when I wake up. I’ll tell you I was so confused on the many versions out there on how to lose weight. I did not know what to think or do. Now I know! I am so grateful for finding you Maria, you are giving me my life back.

Started in sep 2023 . Didnot loose a pond but got plenty of energy . I was eating nuts and dairies ( plenty ) . One day I heard you talking about dairies and nuts and stop stuffing myself of theese . I started keto in 2016, I lost over 80 pounds, then hit a wall after a year or so in, i was working out at orangetheory, doing yoga and walking every day. If I knew about psmf then I'd have broken right through that plateau, i know so much more now. I have put back on about 25 pounds since 2020, I could give you all the excuses but i wont. My 49th birthday is in 9 more days and this is my gift to myself, carnivore challenge to jumpstart and be my BEST!
Your story is similar to mine. Carnivore challenge for me for three months starting today Jan.1. Then probably ketovore from then on out. Good luck. We can do this!

Also similar to mine started in 2016 lost around 70 hit a wall gave up tracking and have been trying different "versions" of keto. Even carnivore for 90 days with only a pound or two loss. I have tried a few psmf days, and it is the only thing that has moved the scale. Just get a bit discouraged with it because it feels like an old restrictive diet again. I am recommiting again this year and am going to work on making the psmf meals more exciting. Onward and upward forward but never straight. Good luck on your journey. 😊

I ventured into Keto last April while I was getting Neurofeedback therapy to help my brain heal from a past TBI. Everything came together and I felt AMAZING for the first time in 6+ years. I’ve been keto for 5 years now. I was able to come off of antidepressant and anxiety medications, as well as two medications for my Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have zero inflammation, clear skin, and feel incredible everyday. I did a year of carnivore, which I enjoyed, but now I do a low carb, low fat, high protein version that’s helped me to really lean out and feel my most optimal. Keto is absolutely sustainable and can be tweaked and dialed in depending on your bodies needs, goals, and season of life.

Dear Maria, quick question, I tend to eat big salads sometimes especially rocket and iceberg I really do like them. I always hear you talk about total carbohydrates not net. Does this apply to leafy greens too? And why. Thanks.
We find that counting total carbs works better for weight loss. :)
Iceburg lettuce is my preference because I like a salad too. But, total carbs should always be tracked for best results, not net.

I had to start tracking in chronometer . I watch my mood & sleep as I track .I need dark berries & kefir before bed . I take magnesium as well . I got very malnourished in October
finally gained ten lbs and keeping it on with eating more calories , quit caffeine and added breakfast .I need about 1800-2500 calories a day .
I was drinking coffee all day and eating a pound of ground beef or nothing at all .that’s why I was plummeting weight now I’m eating a lot and often . Stopped fasting . Feeling so much better .
Diet is beef, lamb , avocado , cucumber , onion , garlic , dark berries, raw milk , kefir and that’s all

I'm new to this lifestyle. There's still a lot for me to learn. Last December I started eating high fat, high protein, low carb, and within three weeks I discovered I no longer needed my medication and thousands of dollars worth of supplements a year that I relied on for fifteen years to sleep at night! I had already been working on lowering my dose of my medicine slowly for the past three years, but I'm over the rainbow that I can sleep at night like a normal person! I think the thing that amazed me most about eating mostly all protein is that I found out I am not an overly emotional person. I’m actually pretty even and like one comment said above, it can pretty much wipe out mild depression. Even in the men in my family, I see that when they eat mostly protein, there’s not a lot of depression there or just general “blues”.
I appreciate your suggestion of eating leaner proteins when you still need to lose weight, because so many times with keto advice they say to add a bunch of fat or to eat fattening meats. I know we need some fat, but I’d rather burn the fat in my body as I still have about 100 pounds to lose.

I still need to learn a lot as I’m diabetic snd and talking to my Dr tomorrow about getting rid of insulin. Hi Maria, I’m 57 and began my journey with keto approximately five years ago with my primary goal of preventing Alzheimer’s, and dementia, which is extremely prevalent on both sides of my family. So is longevity. Seven-year-old grandmother just passed away in December 20 twenty3, and was physically very healthy, but couldn’t even tell you her name due to Alzheimer’s. Long story short, my short term memory had already been getting really bad and this has completely resolved. Now my goal is to prevent ever getting, one of these cognitive diseases. I am 56 and when I started this I was at my heaviest weight of 143 pounds. In August 20 20 I did super strict keto and OMAD And got down to 119 and 20% body fat. I currently am 27% body fat and 125 pounds. I’m going to try doing less fat and more protein and see what happens.
That is great! But I do not recommend OMAD, especially in women. Make sure you are getting adequate protein :)

Hi Maria! Just wanted to let you know that I didn't feel like cooking yesterday for New Year's Eve, so I just waited and had my feast for New Year's Day, instead! I had made your meatballs (the Mama Maria's) for Christmas and froze half of them, uncooked. I had those and your Mushroom Casserole and a few fermented, pickled veggies (asparagus, cauliflower, tiny carrots and pearl onions). Heaven! (Clearly, I'm not doing the Carnivore Challenge. 😉 I eat ketovore which, for me, mostly looks like Carnivore, anyway, except for seasonings and tomatoes or tomato sauce)

I have been keto since 2013. My children are both adopted. I made their formula using Westin a price methods and then switched them to keto as much as possible. My son is autistic and also had pyloric stenosis so has some feeding challenges however. He was 0.3 on the weight chart and 12% height chart. He is now almost six and is 96% height and 84% weight. He is thriving. Even though he still has some autism traits people are generally shocked if I tell them he’s autistic. He is friendly, loves to give affection and his meltdowns are much fewer and far between. Our daughter is mid 80 on height and weight, extremely intelligent and active. I think it has done them both a world of good and my being keto really does help me to be a better mother physically and emotionally. The biggest non weight related change I have found is the fact that I wake up on my own before my alarm and want to get up. That has never happened since I was a child.

I am now back following the guidance of yourself and your ultra smart hubby Craig. Love all your videos. I have been on and off(more off) Keto for 3 years. Keep trying and giving up. Mostly because I was sensitive or allergic to everything that was on a typical Keto diet. Most sweeteners were corn based(allergic to corn), couldn't tolerate dairy, I am allergic to nuts, and sensitive to coconut! I was getting frustrated being on the diet for months at a time and only losing 5 pounds. I recently went Carnivore and lost 10k pounds in a couple months. Better, but not great. Going to do some fat fast days and see if that makes a difference, although I am already doing mostly lower fat. I am optimistic this time, that it will work.

I went keto 5 years ago after 3 hip surgeries, down 90 lbs thanks to the Emmerich’s keto and PSMF. My husband lost 80 lbs and together we have gotten off our blood pressure meds, I’ve gotten off my depression meds, gabapentin for pain, he has MGUS the precursor for Mutiple Myeloma and his Mspike numbers have gone down not up. I feel better at 47 then I did at 38! I feel like the Emmerich’s saved my life!

I live in UK and type 2 diabetic. The nurse at my GP practice still tells me to eat oats for breakfast, brown bread sandwiche for lunch and pasta or rice for dinner! 😮 Madness! I don’t argue with them anymore I just nod and carry on with my keto. My Hba1c has halved 🎉

Did keto from your book, keto adapted, back in 2014 and it was amazing and then I maintained for a couple years and then started doing dirty keto and nothing’s gone right since lol is your program now like keto adapted program? I did do carnivore in 2022 for 3 months, I did cut out all the oils, and still maintain that, however, I stopped doing carnivore, because I was (TMI ALERT)I was pooping sludge, the entire time, and the high protein was making my blood sugars go way up, I had to eat almost all fat. No answer as to why.
What do you mean by blood sugars going way up? What we your glucose before and after eating? ANd what did you eat in the meals?
@@craigemmerich every time I had too much protein my blood sugars would go up into the 130s but when I ate a lot of fat they stayed down in the 90s so I was eating carnivore at that point and just eating meat mostly steak red meat because that’s my favorite and I did have chicken wings
@@craigemmerich so before eating I don’t remember I mean it’s been over a year and a half ago it was June until September 2022 but I was working with the coach and she just kept telling me to keep eating more fat then because of the way my blood sugars were reacting

a new subscriber! I've been carnivore for 8 months and have been very unwell. I'm pre-diabetic and 61, vegan/vegetarian for 43 years. 5 months in to carnivore and my HBA1c went up. I reduced my protein and upped my fats as I thought ketosis was the goal and my blood sugars were elevated on higher protein. 80/20 kept my blood sugars lower and my ketones up. I'm interested in your perspective on this (someone suggested I look at what you do) so I'll definately be exploring your work. Oh and I've put on 12lbs in those 8 months. I was slim to start and now I have fat where I really don't want it.

I’ve done this too. Gained 30lbs on carnivore. I think I need more carbs to stimulate insulin but I don’t know. I did great on keto. Not so good on carnivore.

@@gailwilliams9798yeah I lost 120# on keto for 7 years. Went carnivore and gained 30#. I’ve tried 90-130 G protein (goal weight 130) work out lifting and walk alternating almost daily. And have lowered fat and increased fat and nothing is working. Fasting insulin is 4. I read in the absence of insulin protein will turn to glucose. That seems true with me.
I have been trying to do Ketovore- eating mostly meat and minimal salad and veges. My Rheumatoid Arthritis is so much better, hardly ever have pain, it's amazing! I struggle with sugar cravings and I am challenged by family who I live with that eat cakes, chocolates etc and leave them in the fridge or on the kitchen counter where I can see them. I ma normally strong but now and again will eat something I know I shouldn't. I am trying to give up Sprite-Zero Sugar as I think this is stalling my weight loss. Back on track after 8 month of Keto pause….
I was 1year on keto, lost 15kg felt super good…exept of the fact of having to control every meal… within 3 months I regained the 15kg back😔super sad and tired… now I give it an other try again…knowing that it worked on the past but also aware and scared about falling back into the jojo effect... What do you think of fat raising a persons blood sugar?
Yes, it can. Morning fasting glucose will be higher the morning after overdoing fat the day before.
At 13:13 I purchase a small container of Lard in walmart whenever I fry chicken thighs. It has a Spanish name, can't remember it though. Is this OK to use?

Did you request the download? It's been a while since I downloaded it, but it came with meal plans and grocery lists, etc. You do need the Ultimate Fat Loss Cookbook e-book for the recipes. I've been keto for 14 years and mostly carnivore now. Everything in my life is better and I'm healthier and happier at 50 than I've ever been. I've finally reached my goals but am now trying to figure out how to reincorporate dairy without gaining weight. It's been so long I'm not used to it anymore. Any tips on how to start adding it back?

Homemade beef jerky is the best if you snack on that as Maria suggested but pls be careful if you want to buy it. I have learned recently many brands, even the brand that says ZERO SUGAR on it has maltodextrin which is worse than sugar.
I’m 54 and Been keto since 2017 lost 75 lbs this past year I’ve put back on 30 lbs I feel it is due to menopause . I can’t seem to stop gaining and I don’t know what to do .

What do people do to get enough vitamin c when eating mostly protein and lower fats, carbs?
The amount of Vitamin C needed is directly linked to how many carbohydrates are in your diet. So people on a well formulated low carb diet naturally do not need as much vitamin C and therefore usually satisfy the requirement with their regular diet without the need for supplements :)
Just started keto a few weeks ago, already down 15lbs (started at 225lbs 6'4") and looking to get to maybe 175-180lbs or so, then go into a more maintain and strengthen.
I think my largest issue so far, besides the worry of my gout and HBP, was the lack of snacks as I am on THC for backpain, from just wrecking my body in sports young, and then abusing said body with drink (was going to be a brewer) and just steak and potatoes for like a decade. WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN that drinking all beer and eating nothing but steak and potatoes would get you gout !?!?!? 9.9
Anyways, since starting, I got through the start with my allopurinol to make sure no gout flares started, and I have kept on 300mg of it since (normal dosage for me), but seeing the effects after I got into Ketosis and I guess it started to burn the uric acid, my usually affected parts have been pain free completely, no swelling... an occasional "warm feeling", gout sufferers know the one before a possible flare, but that is all, just a minor warm feeling, perhaps from eating too much red beef (like ribeye!) in a day, but *NO* flares at all! My avg heart rate has increased, but my blood pressure seems to be normal, or "healthy" as the doc says. I plan to get blood taken sometime later to check on all my levels of... well everything, but mostly my uric levels and cholesterol.

Yep, and coffee mate is the only creamer my in-laws use. I don’t even think they have any dairy in them, (maybe non fat milk, which isn’t good either), I always point out they are made with seed oil and I even buy them different creamers to try. For example, a Dairygold creamer made with only cream and *some* sugar - no seed oil. I know sugar isn’t good either BUT for the sake of just cutting out seed oils and fake ingredients, I’d like them to at least try the creamer with 2 ingredients and not 50. They still prefer the coffee mate. Ugh. 😩

High protein keto gives me high blood sugar for hours in the morning. What should I do?
What are your blood sugar levels? A little higher blood sugar isn’t always bad. If it leads to more fat loss then you are going in the right direction.
Also, if you increase protein but don’t also lower the fat, that will lead to higher blood sugars in the morning. Cut the fat a bit when increasing protein.

I lost 120#s keto. Went carnivore and gained 30 back. Can’t seem to get my protein up without glucose spikes. When I try to increase my protein I gain weight. 😢
I have done dirty keto before with varying results and then last April i decided to do carnivore with psmf days. My protein was always really high. But in August i still atarted to lose a lot of hair and hair loss went through ahout November. I am mot saying keto did that but any weight loss usually triggers telogen effluvium and there is nothing you can do for 3-6 months. Hair loss stopped and is coming back.

I am 3 months in but the last month I have removed dairy (allergies I HAVE to pay attention tonow...no more letting it slide... My body has made sure of that).
I was doing just fine enjoying keto.... Until we're moving dairy. Now, Alllll I think about is food.... I miss cheese, Milk, Heavy Cream, Butter, Yogurt.... I miss it all. It's making eating very unenjoyable. I just feel sad.

You're welcome! Dairy and nuts are just very inflammatory, very nutrient dense (FAT and CALORIES with little protein) and don't satiate like animal protein. They can easily stall weight loss and slow or prevent healing if those are goals :)

I started in October 23. I had come off Weight loss injections with only 2kg weight loss over 20 weeks. I was amazed about the real foods I could eat AND I lost 6 kg. I put on 2.5 the week after xmas and have started again to start losing. The week when I was half doing keto, I felt terrible. I have just gotten your free psmf meal plans. This time around without any plans, I have started fasting. I also am glad you mentioned, avocado's. I feel like I'm forced to eat them to get my fats in!
