Sunny becomes more protective of her friends, trying to cope with the way she sees a possible dark future where Opaline succeeds. Then Opaline shows up to take what's hers.
I've been working on this animatic for close to 6 months while juggling real life and work and it's finally done! I felt I needed to conclude this little series I started just for fun. I didnt mean for it to be nearly 15 minutes long but I think that just happened naturally with learning and improving the way I wanted to tell this story. The majority of this was done in Photoshop and the camera movements were done in Storyboard Pro.

Now I'm curious what would happen if each perspective element met each other. They would most likely compliment each other with Twilight being magic and Izzy being creativity but I'm not sure about the others yet.@@quinnhouk5369

Crazy how we make better episodes than the writers
We have creativity, no deadlines (unless we want them to) and unlike others, we give love, care and dedication for our work.

This is what MLP G5 should be. A story with intense conflicts, dramas and dilemmas.
Not a slice-of-life where ponies are always having fun with barely any problems whatsoever.
And even with those slice of life, they at least had a purpose to them to advance the plot or make it worth while. Tell your Mark? Not so much, it's pointless!
Could people like you just accept that Hasbro is a greedy and incompetent company which doesn't care so much about their IPs? They just care about profit. They're ruining MLP and they don't care about it. They see if people still support the franchise regardless of its quality. MLP G5 should be a good franchise for kids, not necessarily a franchise about those things you said. Just try to move on.

They didn't, but Opaline's defeat felt pretty good, being trapped in a tree alive, there's no way she can get out of there with life, pretty dark I can say

An unexpected revelation.
The prologue of showdown.
An epic, intense fight.
A tearful sacrfice.
A raging comeback.
A bittesweet defeat.
And of course, a good ending just like MLP does.
Really, this was AMAZING!
You really did an spectacular job at making G5 take a really darker path and still make it with such graciousness and essence matching MLP-style at its best.
The voice acting was amazing! Such talented work!
And honestly, one of the best works I've seen in the fandom. Truly splendid!

Phenomenal. From the pacing, to the voice acting, to each individual frame, this was a treat to watch. I'm definitely a fan of your alternate universe G5. It feels like a true successor to G4 with the tone of your storytelling
With a budget, this would've made a far more satisfying conclusion than what MYM actually gave us.
I love that, even though the series is still in progress, you continue with your own alternate timeline, your creativity is incredible and it's great to see how the Fandom continues to make tremendous productions!

Unsure what it means. Twilight is not vilified, unlike Opaline. Does that mean Twilight got petrified?
Maybe she's hiding somewhere in Skyros or in the cave because of her burden and guilt
Hollogram Twilight being the tree just makes so much sense.
Absolutely love how you tied old lore and new lore together into something so much more cohesive and sensible. I also have to mention that I really appreciate how you write and characterize Izzy. She feels here much more like an optimistic and caring friend and well handled. Also the new elements of unity is such a fantastic addition!
The comedy was great, the one pony just goin "okay I'm out of here".
This whole plot really comes together so well, even Sunny's scar and their plan to try and stop Opaline with the crystals. And lastly the way you made Misty feel like much more of an important factor here.

YES! YES! I love when Sunny got a scar, she's not used to using magic, in the show they make it seem like it's so easy for her, an Earth pony who has never used magic, Just like when the magic came back and the Pegasus flew in the sky like they lost the way to fly last week, This irritated me so much, the show makes it seem so simplistic. I would love to see Sunny study to be able to better control magic without self damage

I've seen G5 storyboards. I never imagined someone could be on par with the official ones. Absolutely fantastic style. It might be even better if we take the story into consideration.

This was so accurate to the series, it was intense and the battle was actually stressful even though it was just an animatic and the loss of Misty was so unexpected
This was so good! It even had the natural flare of a good ending
Wahoo!!! That was so awesome!! Opaline is defeated, the village is saved, and Misty finally earned her cutie mark!! This makes a very spectacular alternate story!!
this is 1000% cooler than what the actual final battle between the two is going to be
I think this is the first time I ever heard Pipp say, “Oh my Glitter,” in such a dramatic way.
Love how Opaline's character actually has more of a threat to her than in the series (even tho this is only a 15 min video compared to a series) she actually is more angry and desperate for power.
13:05 this was ultimately opaline arcana’s downfall for her punishment for killing twilight sparkle
5:05 I reckon Hitch could've been represented as Compassion rather than recycling Kindness since all the other elements got new names.
I like this, I'm no fan of people who like to turn happy things just to make others suffer or make it darker or whatever, but this was nice 👍

The stories you bring to life are some of the best I’ve seen. Filled with strong emotions that make me want to scream with joy and cry at the same time, this is exactly what I wish to see in stories. Your skills of storytelling are amazing, and your animatics are always on point. You create what I wish G5 would be like, inspire to want to work on animation to pair with my writings

What I found interesting was when Oapalines defeated she says I will not end up like Twilight possibly implying Twilight might be a statue?
Or she might be in Skyros or somewhere else hiding in the cave despite of she had done in the past

After the Opaline plot line is done I thought of another. Twilight would have totally automated the rising of the sun and moon, especially with that artifact Celestia and Luna gave her imbued with their magic. So I assume there is a massive clock tower somewhere maintaining the day/night cycle and for some reason it stops working and the gang got to figure it out

Another positively spectacular and brilliant animatic this is I absolutely love it! Once again you've created another masterpiece Robin make no mistake about it! These G5 animatics are so much better than the MYM timeline heck I for one think Hasbro should hire you to be an artist and writer for MYM, I mean you certainly are talented enough to be both! And you gave us exactly what should've happened in mlp G5!
But anyway as always I really enjoyed this animatic, You did a simply glorious and masterful job bringing this gem of a vid to life!!!
The best part of it is she's just like us, just a simple girl who isn't famous or a professional, but a person who wants to share her thoughts about the series and her love and care for it.

This is astonishing! The whole animatic has such good pacing while being (relatively) short. It's concise, filled to the brim with beautiful drawings.
This is SO MUCH BETTER than the actual baby show that Hasbro gave us. I have so much more interest in this story, this is really underrated- I want Hasbro to take notes😤

In that case, l've enjoyed the ride. The way you introduced the tree of harmony was pretty clever, the way Opaline genuinely seem like a threat here is surprising to see and the cliffhanger on her last words got me hooked to know more.
What she meant by it? That's what good mysteries are for! Hasbro almost never surprises anyone with their front messages and cliffhangers, but you managed to make it worth while. So for that, l salute you 👍

G5 makes me so depressed because we don't really find out what happened to Twilight and the past 1000 years. They brought Spike back, but that's about it. Like can they go find old ruins of ponyville, canterlot, etc. What happened to Cadance and Flurry Heart? The elements of harmony? Celestia and Lunas castle in the ever free forest? And discord!? What happened to him??

8:47 Once few future chapters of mlp make your mark releases, I can’t wait to see Opaline will be more furious reaction to Misty’s betrayal and reveals her cutie mark, found her father (Alphabitte), she helps Sunny defeats Opaline for the first time and tells Opaline what she think of her. 😮
It'd be nice to know the referral to twilight by opaline but guess we can leave that in the head canon pen for now.
