Apathetic from having lived too long, a careless and super powerful villain who screws with Equestria because she's become detached from it and it might be in the way of things she wants.
Maybe a little bit dark for MLP, especially G5... but I think that could be pretty cool to see!

Imagine this, Twilight becoming an immortal alicorn having to watch her friends slowly die one by one and in the end she's the only one standing. And beyond that, equestria has become too peaceful, no problems and no villain can stand against her because of all that she'd accomplish with her friends (that no longer exists), making equestria boring as heck. Twilight slowly becomes insane and eventually wants to see equestria crumble to dust for the fun of it 💀💀

@@AnimeFan4Life2022x I have faith, but I just kind of worry about Gen 5. I doubt it’ll ever be exactly like Gen 4, but I hope it at least improves itself over time, with lore, fun character moments, and genuinely REAL feeling characters, at least at some point down the line.

When I saw Twilight in the trailer, I felt tears in my eyes. She was not my favorite character, but her appearance, even in the form of the Tree of Harmony, touched me very much. It is unlikely that she will be a full-fledged character in G5, but apparently the public's interest in MLP has weakened so much that Twilight had to be returned.
@Eragor the Kindhearted This is not only my opinion, but also the opinion of 90% of the audience. In G4, the plot was written for 3 seasons ahead, in G5 it is obvious that there is no plan, only ratings on TV are important.

@@eragorthekind considering the fandom did dry up at the end of G4 and did not return with G5 i'd say yes, you can indeed objectively and factually say that G5 is not as successful as G4.

@@ronaldpagar6513 Corruption, overall fatigue, dissatisfaction and disillusionment with the powers that be. You try to do good but you don’t see any progress being made as villain takes place of the other villain you already defeated again and again and again. After a while the endless cat-and-mouse game just gets boring and you slowly start losing passion and energy to keep the fight going.
The only way to successfully get rid of the problem that is evil is to somehow fill in the power vacuum with good, and that is a hard situation to deal with. Either that or make sure that no one can fill the vacuum which is also pretty hard to accomplish. Usually this requires multiple people to do, and the support of the establishment such as the Equestrian government.
Every frame of this is absolute comedic genius

I honestly loved the idea that Twilight after a few years became evil simply because she was bored of not having any villains anymore so she decided to become the villain, I like to think this also has to do with her losing her sanity after seeing everyone she loved die while she's destined for eternity
I do love the bored god trope. Just fits so well with a character who is immortal.
