I just wanted to say...I just watched the movie Hit'n Strum last Saturday and it's been on my mind since then...i've seen it on the plane and then had to watch it again when i came home to fully appreciate it. Absolutely Love the music, the acting, Mike's touching character, and the wonderful storyline...thank you for a wonderful movie, it deserves more people to watch it!!

Yes, the film has had only a few hundred dollars for promotion, and because of the lack of star power it's very difficult to get people to sit down and watch the movie. But we received a standing ovation on our opening night in Toronto and the audience response everywhere we have screened has been amazing. After about 15 reviews our average rating from critics was 4.25 stars but there were two influential critics that gave us a 1 out of 10. I'm not really sure why or how anyone could legitimately score the film as a 1 out of 10, but their reviews have really hurt us. So yes, I think more people should see the film, I just don't know how I'm going to make that happen. Our entire budget for production and promotion has been less than what an average indie movie spends in one day of shooting. So I'm pretty stoked we've gotten this far. I'm glad you got to see it. What a coincidence is this with the last post itself !! Its around 6:30 in the morning here and I just finished watching the movie and its at the very end that i realized that its you all over , the story , the cast , the music , the everything !! The movie is made in such a different way from what we see now days , and being from a musical background myself , it was straight to the heart. I really liked all the tracks ,specially this one bcz somehow ,someway it relates to me the most. The whole experience of the movie and the music in it is a big inspiration to me. Am glad to have watched this one !

It's a stylized film about the relationship between a sex worker and a mentally ill Canadian soldier. Lots of action and romance in this one. Hit 'n Strum didn't get a world wide distribution deal, so I have to make sure my next one does. Thanks for asking!
