    Unfortunate that lab grown diamonds are flooding the market and are of every bit the same quality color, mostly better and 10% the cost. Not to mention that they are also real diamonds

      why unfortunate?

    Actually the main reasons why Tiffany and Co. Charges more is because of cut and how exacting they are. No one will cut a diamond more perfectly than Tiffany and Co. GIA will allow up to a 2% variance between facets where as Tiffany and Co. only allows a .02% variance. That translates into better light performance and geometry.

      Simply not true. You can't dismiss every other diamond cutter in the world in one sweeping statement. Tiffany over charges because people will naively do anything to have that cache of the brand over value. Those with more sense see through it.

      People are willing to pay more for it purely for brand name. Women love to tell other women that it is a Tiffany ring because Tiffany & co = sign of status, wealth etc.

      Not only are they the best diamond cutters. They are the highest rated jeweler by human rights watch. The only company that has complete traceability from the mine to the finished product in the case. As a result they insure that anyone they work with maintains those standards both in product and human rights. Meaning they are treated right. Unlike GIA which uses 1 grader for stones under 2ct, they use 5 graders. Then go with the lowest grade given. Btw, none of the graders know what the other has graded before them. Then you have the diamond guarantee that none other has. It guarantees that the diamond you are buying is exactly what you are buying and if it is ever graded lower by a 3rd party they will either refund your full purchase price or give you one that meets those standards. NO other grading guarantees this other than tiffany. Read your GIA certification and you will see they do not guarantee their grading and it may be graded differently if they grade it again.
      Of course some price is due to branding and its image. But they are the king of diamonds for a reason.

    So the reason is because tiffany can give you a higher loan on the purchase price??! What does that even have to do with the mark up price??!

    Lower color stones than harry winston but high cost because of the tiffany name. Only gia certs for excellent cuts but not IDEAL cuts graded by gra. Id never waste my money at tiffany.

    Did he say H was the highest colors available ?? That’s is no where near accurate!

    • @yekevin
      @yekevin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      He said "one of the highest", but yeah, definitely not the highest or one of the highest.

    • @SJanjua87
      @SJanjua87 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @SP Although H is one of the highest colors in the near colorless range, there is a an entire range above it. There are a total of 4 color grades above H (Colorless: D,E,F, and Near Colorless: G). H is far from the highest color grade considering that Tiffany only carries color grades D through I. This actually makes H one of the lowest color grades offered by Tiffany (second lowest at the 20th percentile since you want to get specific). With that being said, calling H “one of the highest colors available” is extremely misleading to the average consumer when taking Tiffany’s high standards into account. You have completely taken things out of context by using statistics that misrepresent Tiffany’s selectiveness which revolves around only accepting .04% of the worlds gem-grade diamonds. Hmmm… could that be a reason why they charge a premium??
      And yes I am hard of hearing so your comment was extremely offensive. Your concern should be researching and educating yourself since you clearly are oblivious to Tiffany’s diamond grading standards.

      @@SJanjua87 you are right, I was watching a few yt videos, and realized the highest I've seen people showing so far on the web is actually at H, not higher. Maybe because it would be way too expensive to go even higher. And sometimes the cutting make the diamonds look very brilliant that it can offset the color imperfection.

      This is a bit harsh, yeah you're paying a premium.. BUT you're getting top quality and diamonds that will sparkle about has good as the naked eye can see.
      Plus they're basically the Rolex of engagement rings, great for proposals!!
      Outside of engagement rings tho, I would look elsewhere.

    A diamond that large for most that can afford it most likely will not buy from Tiffany
    They have beautiful jewlery that you gave to experience to truly understand but I’d say nothing over 1.5 maybe under 3 carats is purchased (for those who know diamonds) simply because you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere
    I have a 2 carat D color VVS1 in a “Tiffany Setting” it’s not from Tiffany and it’s a certified Moissanite🤷🏽‍♀️
    I seen genuine Tiffany setting for as small as .33 carats in real life (just to have the “real thing”)

      says someone who's an absolute ignoramus! diamonds are rare particularly natural color red, orange, violet, purple, green, blue and pink diamonds because they are not as common as money & can't be mass produced! In fact pink and red diamonds for example appreciate in value annually higher than real estate and stock bonds in Australia! The rich people paying $4 million dollars per carat for a blue diamond is not stupid for doing so because blue diamonds appreciates in value more than pink diamonds!
