That guy who walked out before stitches really annoyed me. When doctors and nurses are spending time on him and he has that attitude & there is really sick people waiting to see someone, that makes me angry.
I know how Jack's parents feel. My daughter was hit by a full sized van going 50+ miles per hour at age 11 (also on her way to school). It is the scariest thing in the world to go through. She had a closed skull fracture, but fortunately no brain bleed like Jack. She's now 42 and the mother to 3 beautiful children.
The way the guy was carrying on with the wound to his hand I thought he'd gloved it, it was a tiny laceration. That med student has the right idea, you always treat your patients the way you'd want your family or friends treated; same degree of care and respect.
I mean, hands are extremely sensitive, we can never know anyone else’s pain threshold. I have chronic pain and have daily 5/10 pain, only go to the er at 8+/10. The whole "I'm my own person, no one tells me what to do " bullcrap is basically saying "I don't care how my actions affect others as long as I'm happy." THEN, the moron ended up having to go back anyway!!! Grow up dude!
The mom talking about running down the street to see her son on the road, having been hit reminded me of the time my mother was driving home from work and she could see activity ahead, one block beyond our street, and the girl next door running towards her waving her hands and crying. My mom went over and my eldest brother was laying on the pavement covered and surrounded in his blood. My brother was 17 and a 20 something had been stunting in the neighbourhood and rammed his car into my brother. He'd been flipped off his 10 speed and his face/head smashed into the windshield. My mom stood over him in shock and thought my brother was dead. Later when my dad got home, the girls father drove him into the hospital so he wouldn't have to drive upon hearing the news. Parents do go through a lot.
That man walked out with head injury that needed to be stitched. Got up and left without letting someone know. Looks like he doesn’t have a brain. He should have stayed at the scene. There was somebody that needed that bed for a maybe a critical condition.
I'm from the US, so pardon my ignorance. Would hospitals in the UK not have air conditioning? I know most homes don't have air conditioning, but i would have thought hospitals and other public spaces would have it? Can someone familiar answer? 😁 Thanks!
@@sarahsnowe Murkins? That sounds like a slur on the USA. Public places like office buildings, shopping spaces and, yes, hospitals have air conditioning even in areas of the country that don't get blistering hot. I live in the Northeast (look it up) where we may only get 2-3 weeks of hot and humid weather in the Summer. Many people have small air conditioners that fit in a window and only cool that particular room, usually a bedroom. in warmer areas of the country, people have central air conditioning which cools the whole house. I aim to keep my electric bill low so I only use a window fan to bring in cooler outdoor air at night. I also do "passive cooling", so I close east facing drapes in the morning, then close west facing drapes in the afternoon to block the sun. I also have a large maple tree that assists with shade in the afternoon.
When my husband and I were in Croatia in June, we had to go to the hospital for my husband. The doctors were walking around with scrubs shorts. It was hot so not sure how much a.c. the hospital actually had.

Jake just looked like a big baby.😅
Jack is such a cutie.
Wonderfull story. I love wild animals. Keep up good storys and tell us more ❤❤
The challenge is whether or not a patient's judgement has been effected by hitting their head and thus whether they can choose to leave without tx.
That Jake guy really pissed me off! As someone someone who unfortunately has multiple autoimmune diseases and has frequent hospital stays, people like that are incredibly selfish. The whole "I'm my own person, no one tells me what to do " bullcrap is basically saying "I don't care how my actions affect others as long as I'm happy." THEN, the moron ended up having to go back anyway!!! Grow up dude!
Do y'all's hospitals not have ac? The US hospitals are kept around 20C to combat bacterial growth.
Jack is an actual hero.
If you were 12 and going on holiday, you were not poor.🙄
Bruh stop, perspective is important. It sounds like 12 was a significant age to have your first trip wherever she grew up.
@@InuInugami Do you call people bruh? Sounds extremely juvenile.
Jake, you need to grow up mate. Lola
That man walked out with head injury that needed to be stitched. Got up and left without letting someone know. Looks like he doesn’t have a brain. He should have stayed at the scene. There was somebody that needed that bed for a maybe a critical condition.
Is there no air conditioning in UK hospital?
Car crashes can happen to anybody at any time. Let's be careful out there! Audience wishes hapless victims all the best. Cheers!
33:49 "...sorry??" made me laugh
I'm from the US, so pardon my ignorance. Would hospitals in the UK not have air conditioning? I know most homes don't have air conditioning, but i would have thought hospitals and other public spaces would have it? Can someone familiar answer? 😁 Thanks!
Brits in general are not so soft and spoiled as Murkins in general. Weather is weather, and you put up with it.
also, it does not often get very hot in the UK
@@loudilammers4010 Getting hotter, though.
40:25 Well "Twenty Four year Old Jake" acts like a 5 year old.
It is small wonder he flew through the windshield and I can imagine the accident was his fault as well. Don't let the ER door hit ya on your way out buddy.
