Had to laugh at the two sisters checking the doctor's laptop while he was out of the room. (Of course, I'VE never done that....)
Katrina as a soft spoken woman was a beautiful woman. Her son in law, Kris, although he didn't cut the onion the right way, still loves his mother in law. People put aside petty differences when a life is on the line. ❤
I found him overbearing very upsetting.
I feel awful for this dedicated mother… however, she should’ve taken care of herself she is too important in her families life. Breaks my heart.
Reminded me of myself and my mother-in-law
@@Bonnie62563That makes it sounds like her death was preventable and that she did something wrong to cause it, and there's no indication it was at all.
I love this show! The 2 elder sisters were such a joy. They were comical and sweet. I love to hear stories from the elderly. They are so very intriguing! The past generations are the BEST! This generation will never know how wonderful, hard, fun and rewarding it was!
😊😊😊😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I miss them days

Well boomers kind of ruined the planet but whatever
I'm continually impressed by the emotions shared on this program. As a nurse, I'm used to hearing private comments, but never to the extent shared on-camera here. Well done, all.
Astonishing how all the doctors and nurses know just where to put all the line and wires. Sometime is looks like trying to untangle spaghetti.
It is like trying to untangle spaghetti! I worked in ICU for 35 years and dreaded going to the CT scan cause I’d have to untangle it all again!😅
Head injuries scare me the most. TBI's are so unpredictable. We had friends who's son had one after falling in a grain silo. It was a miracle that he survived and seemed okay. Then psychological issues started showing up. He wasn't himself. They struggled to get his meds right. Last time they changed his meds... Well he and his entire family are no longer living. So tragic. Only his older brother and grandma survived. Sister mom dad and himself.
There's no such thing as a "mild" concussion. Any concussion should be assumed a risk and monitored over time. Sad that your friends' son and part of his family were ultimately casualties of his accident.
So very sad .Bless his sister and Grandma's heart .🙏☮️🌹🤍
Omg that's terrible, I'm so sorry for your loss 💔
My condolences.
@@catbriggs8362 there absolutely is. I’m a certified brain injury specialist, and a therapist, for 16 years and work with this population, I understand why you may guess that, but there is absolutely a legit diagnosis of a MTBI
Wow. The police bring dad to see his son in the hospital. Not in the US. You’re on your own.
Not always true. There was a chance his son was dying so he need to get there STAT. A few years ago a friend's house was on fire and there was ammo and many animals inside. He got pulled over speeding trying to get home and the police officer escorted him under lights and siren the rest of the way.
All pain hurts. I was taught this in nursing school. 😮
My female roommate almost died from a heart attack. The only signs she had was she felt a little dizzy, slight chest pressure on and off and thats it. It came and went and she didn't tell me for 3 days. I called an ambulance the moment i found out. When she arrived at the hospital they immediately took her to surgery and did a quadruple bypass. The doctor said had she waited 1 more day she would be dead. Please don't mess around and wait to get medical attention if you even think you're having a heart attack or chest pains
The two sisters were a hoot and there’s so much love there💖
With the clip about the pedestrian vs car - HEMS means helicopter emergency medical system - however, the medical helis do not operate at night, so the HEMS doctor and paramedic would probably have responded to the scene by car.
I'm a retired helicopter flight RN, we flew in all kinds of weather so long as we could visualize the ground. Is it because there's fog there at night? I live in Arizona, 🇺🇸.
@@lakotafire2804 London can be very foggy at night due to the river Thames flowing right through the city.

Appreciation to the staff for taping Lawrence's eyes, doesn't happen a lot in pre-hospital. The two sisters are so funny and such a touching story with their early lives.
Did not like how Katrina’s husband dismissed her, telling her “You are not the doctor” and “You are wound up.”
Terrible disregard for this beautiful women. Who forgot to put herself first.
I didn't like it either. There's a time and place, and when her mother may be having a medical emergency isn't it. So dismissive and patronising.
I agree, that was very odd.
Was that the son-in-law, or her husband?
@@mickieswendsen1302 Yes, he was the son-in-law to the woman being cared for, and husband to the lady he was admonishing.
My daughter was scratched by a cat and almost died from it. Ske is now blind in her left eye from the infection that set in. Prepple need to be aware that even small things can be very serious
Bacterial infections are harder to treat now because of the overuse of antibiotics, too. Immediately flush wounds, even small ones, and wash. Keep clean and dry. Mom was nurse.
😢
@@catlyn777the
@catlyn777 but still go get antibiotics right away!
@@spiritthingw she was admitted to the hospital and given IV antibiotics along with incision and drainage of the bite wound.
Geez dad, you can take girls fishing too!
Lol I think he said the girls weren't into it.
HTF did Lawrence only spend 5 days in hospital?! He's made an amazing recovery!
It seems short, but even in that time a lot happens. When I got hit by a car 2(almost 3) years ago sending me 4-5 meters into an intersection I spent 2 nights in the hospital with a broken collarbone, multiple bruises, contusions and a concussion, got there at 6pm on Wednesday, I was out the door by 8am on Friday and it was that long, because the doctor wanted to be absolutely sure I was safe to leave, otherwise I would have been thrown out after spending less than 24 hours in the hospital.
He sure did, didn't he?
I think once you're past the most acute emergency, home is usually better for recovery. You sleep so much better at home and can have quiet and calm and familiar things and familiar food. So as soon as you're well enough that it's safe to go home and you don't need intense medical care, it often makes more sense, as long as you have enough support at home to help with your basic needs.
As a nurse, this is a great career if you don't plan on having a family and can dedicate yourself 100%. Otherwise you find yourself choosing between your job and your personal life. Hats off to everyone doing this. ❤
I had a heart attack and was told many years earlier that it can present as heartburn.
My sister had a heart attack, it started as heartburn...with pain going all around her.
r.i.p with respect to family and friends. sorry for your loss
Cat bites are nasty. A friend of mine wound up in the hospital for a week after her cat bit her.
I have had cats all my life and although I've been scratched due to accidents, I have never been bitten. No need to bite me; I know my place in the household hierarchy :)
The cat lady and sister are a kick
Still 'lads will be lads'. At some point, you have to grow out of belief that 'fun' is drinking every Saturday night and putting yourself (and others) in such risk.
There nothing wrong with going out on a Saturday night with friends. We did . I w getting served at 17. I'm fifty six now. When it interfere with work school relationships then it might be a problem.
I love these two sisters!!
Amazing to watch. Excellent working team. Ready for anything. We experienced trauma 14 yrs ago were blessed for Amazing doctors, nurse's and auxiliaries at Harborview Seattle.
Those 2 sisters are as CRAZY as me and my sister..and I LOVE EVERY MINUTE of it❤
I cannot believe people go to a and E with such minor injuries…no wonder they are blocked
And they are straining the NHS
cat scratches are
no joke, i know from experience
Accident and Emergency. In the US, they should call it S&E, for Shootings and Emergency. Maybe that would hit home for people and help this epidemic stop.
Great documentary!
The sad thing is that they're trying to take away the 2nd amendment rights. Guns aren't the problem
Or we could implement gun control like all other developed countries and have a lot less of that! But we don’t want to all about how that will never happen because $$$$
A lot of the emergencies end up being drunk and distracted driving in the US more than shootings, most of the time the shootings end in suicide or treatment in detainment.
Americans could try holding their elected reps to account and not voting for gun nuts. Just a thought.
@@sarahsnoweit's almost like US citizens don't have much of a say when gun lobbyist interfere at every level of the government
I'll second that! A & E will always be Arts and Entertainment to my ears
If these people had to pay an A and E bill I bet the NHS wouldn't be overwhelmed
There would be a lot of people waiting until things got really bad though.
Rest in peace beautiful Katrina ❤. Devastating xxx
"When you're seriously ill, it's important for family to be there." Well, my dad is in a nursing home with Alzheimer's & my sister disowned me bc I told the truth about my mother fat-shaming me when I was younger. I hadn't realized that Mom had become St. Judith when she died! It's my life story & I have the right to share it or not. My sister has also disowned my father & she moved out of state, so she doesn't have to bother with us. I'm surprised she hasn't changed her phone number, but then she's blocked me, so she wouldn't have to. I have no idea what my niece is doing; she could have gotten married for all I know! So I'm always alone when I have to go to the hospital & if it's bad news, I have to deal with it on my own. Frankly, my mother would be appalled at my sister's choices!
Fewer people are having families nowadays, being alone is becoming the norm. Medical treatment will soon need to catch up with that as most people will not have anyone to help them.
Why are you upset your in the norm nowadays I have family who has disowned me because I spoke the truth
I love your video and I love it a lot good job
Oh I'd be gagging and puking if I had swallowed my denture... 🤪
I hope the Fox managed to catch an alternate meal without some biddy trying to make it starve to death.
Yep. Squirrels aren't exactly an endangered species.
wish i had a sister like that
I live in illinois my family lives in maine and new hampshire. In 2005 i was in hospital for five snd half weeks. It would have been longer had i not beggedto do my antibiotics by iv at home. Tge two sisters are adorable ❤
42:00 he is a great son in law. Some dont get along with theres. My brother in law had a weird relationship with my mum. But i know he loved her more then his own mum. When she died we all gave him time to say his good byes to her alone.
Guy was hit 2 1/2 hours ago and he’s just now getting to the hospital? If he had a serious injury to his head, he would’ve already died. These people need to stabilize, put in the ambulance, get to the hospital as fast as possible, not sit on the roadside, and treat superficial wounds.
You dont know thats what they did. He was intubated and sedated btw, cant do that in the heli. I dont know how far away he was either. They seemed to have done all the right things, based on his outcome.
He was in Eastbourne and this hospital is in London and the patient had to be stabilised.
Maybe he was transferred from a smaller hospital. Bigger hospitals and trauma centres have more specialists and experience with complex injuries.
Nurse from USA, is a Consultant a doctor? Not familiar with the term/title
Yes
Doctor (supervisor, sort of).
The Consultant Doctor overseas the whole situation and guides what all the other doctors, nurses are doing. I’ve see a bunch of these and sometimes the consultant might change the course of their activities if he/she sees another area needs more attention.
On a couple of these shows, the consultant is introduced and they work the whole 8 hour shift at the head consultant.
But I’m just an observer, I’m not a medical person.
Camilla is beautiful. I love her and her daughters closeness

The beds(?) don’t look too safe? No side rails or restraints? Basically just cots. Hard and uncomfortable!
They kind of "cradle" you. You're not likely to move when you are in a coma. Restraints/straps are used, if needed.
Didn't feel uncomfortable.

Let me just pop this oxygen on to help with the pain.😮😮😮😮 yeah right what a crock of poo!
It depends what was causing the pain. If she couldn't breath well then oxygen could help.
If you don't have s dashcam, get one now!!! dave your 2:35 butt!!
22:31 the women are adorable lol
If Queen Elizabeth II can hunt large game and raise horses, girls and women can (and do) fish. 😊
She gave up her life for a wedding. Who knows how long she would have lived if she went through with treatment. She may have had a remission and lived to see her grandchildren.
I think you misunderstood what was said. She went through treatment before and after the wedding, but her cancer wasn't as important to her as the wedding
That is so sad. How can her cancer not be important? She is important you put that wedding on hold and take care of yourself. So sad.
Some of the things these people go to the hospital for are ridiculous . What a waste of time😅
Foreigners who come to our country should learn to speak the language before they demand treatment on our taxpayers money
I know he cares, but he doesn't need to be telling the daughter all that in front of Mom
Why doesnt Katrina look her daughter in the eyes...
Right?
She's tired, she's done. Her daughter doesn't agree.
It's hard when your family want to keep fighting and you're done.
This poor guy has bee q a, Mm , smh f
Sorry but that car would be going bye bye if it dug into me like it did to her!! I mean, she's clawed everywhere!! Geez!!
I assume you mean "cat," but her cat panicked and can't be held responsible. I got a nasty bite when I had to free my cat from a defective cat door that squashed his paw. He was the most mellow cat normally, but he was in agony and went berserk. As for cars, they do a lot more damage than cats . . .
I'm in the USA and anytime I hear or see a reference to A&E, I can't help but think of Arts & Entertainment!
Same here!!
one day, you will find out what's the difference.
Yeah, I thought the same thing!😅
Oh
Ya for a split second I think they're talking about the TV channel every time they say it lol
Old British women are the funniest thing in existence 😂
Old white women
This son-in-law has the most beautiful heart and his favorite picture from the wedding is 100%the best picture ever.
I don’t understand how can families not touch, hug or be close. Love is the most important of all.
Love can be in multiple styles, including being around each other without contact.
I'm autistic and my family and current partner know I can't do body contact for too long cause it feels awful after a while. But they still know I love them. So you saying that is really weirdly basic. :/
When I’m sick or unwell, the last thing I want is my family or partner touching me. It’s too much stimulation. Everyone shows their love differently. Just being there to talk is all that some people need.
@@motionless_horizon agreed, but I think maybe they are referring to how the family initially said they aren’t lovey-dovey or touchy-feely as a family in general . The kid who got hit by a taxi
The dude with the foot boo-boo was ridiculous. Yelling like that is just over the top.
Feet are surprisingly sensitive. Just like hands, they have an extensive network of pain receptors.
Yes, maybe, but there wasn't even anything really wrong with it.
You still think poc don’t feel pain as much as yt people don’t you!!
Guy.
@@ajpthequeenwhere did you get that from this comment lmao
You go to a&e with a tiny cut?
Half of these people don’t need to be there. A cut finger or scratches on a hand is NOT an emergency ‼️
Some were at the urgent care
You do when you end up on an antibiotic drip for your scratches and have to come back the next day for some more.
disagree, especially if you have diabetes or other health problems, always better safe than sorry
I agree about the tiny little cut on the finger but cat scratches definitely need antibiotics. They can be very dangerous! Prone to infections of all kinds!
Cat scratches like what she has are life threatening! As in if you don’t get IV antibiotics you will develop sepsis. She already had cellulitis which is the first stages of staph or strep infection. That develops into what they refer to the flesh eating virus at the stage where it reaches the deep tissue to bone then it enters the bloodstream becoming sepsis. Sepsis can go from you look ok and have a temp to dead within hours not days or weeks
