Hey Matt, I have been desperate to find a clunking noise in my rear end. I upgraded the rear on my 13 GT500 to Eaton Detroit truetrack and moser axles 31 spline. If I’m driving under 80mph and go over something like a reflector it clunks in the rear, and if I pull on the wheels while it’s sitting it clunks. Not sure where the issue is at. My mechanic that installed it said the shims, c clamp and the spring tensioner for the axles are all within measurement. Any idea what it could be? Brakes are on tight.
Hi, I have not yet changed the clutch packs out, I hope to get it done sometime this summer after a trip to the drag stip. I want to know first if I am getting the one wheel peel. Have a great day!
I believe that this is a result of the clutch packs wearing down allowing the side gears to move further away from the spider gears, however I have yet to prove this since I have not install new clutch packs yet. I will make another video once I do so and reveal what I find. Thanks for your interest and question. Have a great day!
This was really informative, and a well recorded video.Nice job!
Matt,
Did you make a part 2 video, I didn’t see one. I saw the 4.10 video is out there but is that in lew of the church pack being replaced?

Please... where ist the second Part. My 2013 have the same issue and I am waiting to make it better...
Hey, I’m have the same problem.. so we must change the differentialbox?
your the man did you ever figure the issue out i know im a little late but i have this same issue
My 2012 has the same amount of slop. It’s the compound effect of all the tolerance in every gear. It’s pretty normal on the s197.
This is wild, and imo unacceptable! Ford should be ashamed, especially with the poor integrity of the mt82 transmission from China they stuck us with
Can't wait to see Part 2. I just subscribed.
Hello I'm wondering if you ever replaced the clutch packs on your rear differential? I'm having the same issue with mine.

where is part 2?
So how can it be fixed
