Can we just give TransTheories a round of applause. He's literally single handedly fixing all the errors in these movies(best he can) and provides a in universe answer for them. 👏👏👏
It could also be a result of battle damage and being repaired incorrectly over time. Maybe like how he repaired his leg with a protoform, he may have caught shrapnel in his vocal cords, and as a result, needed a repair. He grabbed what he could find and made do as best as he could with what was on hand. And since he's not exactly a medic, he probably made a few errors, and just decided "close enough.. I'll make this work". After the all the time passing between DOTM and TLK, his body adapted around the damage and mistakes he made/had resulting in him getting a new voice. (Like how a smoker a loses their voice or has a change in it from smoking) As for why he sounded strange at the end, maybe it wasn't him actually speaking? From the clip you showed, it seemed like megatron was the one talking, and everyone else was cheering about it. Since the character speaking isn't on screen or facing the camera, we don't really know who was talking in that moment. Trans Theories, you did it again, it's amazing. The only error you said on your explanation was that Barricade didn't appeared in the IDW's comic adaptation; he had indeed appeared in it. Sure, he didn't show up in the Battle of Chicago, but he appeared alongside Starscream in the video Sentinel showed to the United Nations during his ultimatum, since one of the many differences between the movie and the comic is that Sentinel's ultimatum isn't just an audio transmission, but also comes with some videos showing what will happen if they refuse to exile the Autobots. Just read the 3rd issue of the adaptation and you'll see him there. I watched the movie with the audio description option turned on, and turned out that Barricade being called Soundwave or a random Decepticon (either big or small) isn't the only error in the narration for the movie; the narrator omits the fact that Sam managed to kill the Watch-bot (which you called as Timezone in your video about all the characters from the first five movies directed by Michael Bay) by stomping it, since in the novelizations, the Watch-bot managed to escape, while in IDW's comic adaptation, Sam managed to kill it with Epps' help because he said: "They were watching me. They had this thing on my wrist which Epps helped me with but i couldn't tell you." to Optimus in the comic adaptation. And the narrator also omits the fact that all of Dylan's bodyguards were killed by Bumblebee because the narrator omits the fact no other bodyguard came with Dylan to the balcony and watch the Orbital Assault Carrier spinning out of control before crashing on the streets below. The narrator only says: "Inside the penthouse, Dylan and his men dived to the floor as the ship opens fire. Laserbeak flies out and hurls a passing drone into one of the ship's engines. As the airship begins to list, Laserbeak swoops down onto Sam and claws him into his talons. Singed and bloody, Dylan watches from his balcony as the airship spirals downward." so it's clear this audio description isn't accuratte to the final product. Beyond that, the video is awesome. Great work, and remember to never stop theorizing!
I for one am thankful about the robots in these sagas sounding like a normal person, it really shows that they're *alive* alive on top of being/and not just machines.

Great video as always. I have my own theory as to why in the last knight Barricades voice switches from the one he has when he meets with Megatron to the almost demonic sounding one. My theory is that Berserker was supposed to have a longer and more prominent role in the film. In promotional material for the movie and with toys etc. Berserker received more attention and had more toys than Mohawk, Onslaught, Dreadbot and even Nitro Zeus who all had more screen time than him. This leads me to believe that Berserker would have originally been set free along with other decepticons and would have been present when Megs and co. used the staff at stonehenge. It makes sense for Berserkers lines to have already been recorded. And since Hound and Nitro Zeus have issues with them having alternate lines in different scenes of the film in different versions of the film as a result of poor editing; it makes sense for Berserkers lines to have been kept in the movie as well. When "Barricade" talks at stonehenge what he's saying seems more like what the maniacal, crazed, ultraviolent Berserker would say as opposed to Barricade. "I've lived to kill a planet" matches well with "I'll suck your brains". If you listen to Berserkers voice in the movie it sounds similar to "Barricades voice" at Stonehenge. Slightly different I admit, but this is just like Megatrons speaking voice in the film. It sounds a little different when the voice is raised/shouting and it loses some of its deepness when raised/shouting and Berserkers one line is him shouting. So it makes sense for Berserkers voice to be deeper like Megs when he is talking normally and not shouting. Additionally, in the scene at stonehenge where Barricade supposedly talks you never clearly see Barricade move his mouth. Before watching this video I actually thought it was Megatron who spoke, but I couldn't understand why his voice changed. SO that's my theory. And I think it makes sense.
I think his appearance from TLK was either an animators choice or a way to tie loose ends as he survived the first film. He was definitely supposed to be dead in DOTM but that was retconned in TLK.
I think they needed him on board for tlk for the 10 year challenge. I don't even know if that's a genuine thing but it's cool that characters like Lennox and barricade were in the first film in 2007 and then came back for tlk in 2017
Perhaps he received a series of upgrades as a result of the injuries he sustained in DOTM? Maybe one of the upgrades was a modification of the vocal processor?

Why is there no insecticon in transformers bay verse? 4. Is the cube made by Jesus? 5. Why is starscream not return in the last knight? 6. How can some transformers combine into one "monstrosity" example: infernicus & devastator 7. Can some died transformers mixed so they can live again? 8. Can Autobot and decepticon force to combine 9. Why Michael bay won't make the dinobot combine into volcanicus? 10. Where is drift, hound & crossair in transformers 1-3? 11. Where is nova prime all this time? 12. What is other transformers ability, we know that jolt can give electricity and jetfire can teleport, but is there anything else? 13. In transformers age of extinction optimus flies away with the seed, but where is the seed in transformers the last knight? 14. What if optimus/megatron collect the cube, the matrix of leadership, the seed & and the staff, what will they do? 15. Where did minicon born/made? 16. How/when did transformers learn to speak earth languages 17. What if decepticon and Autobot spark put in one bot, which one will take control, or there sharing cause there is nothing they can do? 18. When transformers scan the vehicle, how can they replace the metal to transformium? 19. Can the triple changer transformers combine? 20. Can transformers have s3x and make another transformers, or the made/build another transformers? Pick as many as you want, or you just take one it's ok 😁
I remember when seeing the voice reel from the first movie when they got to barricade they played the one in the film and one with out the filter and he sounds exactly like how he does in tlk i guess he always sound like that he just puts a filter on his voice.
I think a better idea for Barricade’s role would have been this: Scrap his arrival on Earth, replace his role with Soundwave. Soundwave is a more appropriate character especially in the likes of TLK. Sometime in 2008, NEST and the Autobots decided to build a facility to imprison Decepticons over killing them. Much like in TLK. So Decepticons we’re rather hunted down and arrested, with the exceptions being terroristic ones like the Dreads and Demolisher, etc. Barricade took the form of a racecar while roaming on Earth then was arrested and sent to the facility. By the events of ROTF, Sideways, who had been sent from the Fallen to Earth, purposely let himself be captured to free the Constructicons who were held there for the inevitable resurrection of Megatron. After breaking out and freeing the prisoners, the Warden of the facility arrived. Who was actually Prowl. Prowl was killed by Barricade who then took his police car alt mode.
About a video on jolt, what i belive happend to jolt was que on his arrival on earth gave him and two others a wepon upgrade making him one of the wreakers, the way he found his vehical mode was when he was returning to nest from the piramids as he passed a nas car race scanning one of the cars to be his vehical mode. After this he met up with 2 of his close frends leadfoot and roadbuster and began to work on the ship as he had the power the weld and power certain parts to the ship. Que saw this and desided to give them the upgrade as they agreed but que staited that it might change there attitudes. Then as we never heard his voice, it could have been changed or it might have sounded like that all allong. Thats what i think happend to jolt. Could you please make a video talking about my theorie. Also i love you vids keep up the good work.
My pov on the issue, his fight with bumblebee in tf1 left his voice box damaged, his voice was changed while being repaired. Then after his series injuries in dotm resulted him in scanning a new vehicle which gives him his new body and voice for tlk. But that’s just my own timeline theorie
The writers of the first film said they planned to have Soundwave appear in the first movie but that didn't come to fruition. However, Frenzy ended up taking that role. And Frenzy does actually eject from Barricade's chest in the same way Soundwave's minions do in the cartoon. Perhaps since the idea of Soundwave being in the film didn't go through and they decided to have Frenzy be a sort of representation of Soundwave they also decided to have his superioor, which is Barricade, resemble Soundwave in his own unique way. That's why his voice has a similar audio effect?
Actually the dvd release is different from the theatrical release. My one does not have the alternate voices and dialogue and is missing some lines such as "nemesis you traitor " now being just "you traitor "
If you ask me, while I liked Harnell's Barricade Voice, I prefer The Keith David Voice he had in The Transformers 2007 Game. If I made these Films (or maybe someday do a Reboot of a Transformers Film,) I would absolutely use Keith David for Barricade.
Do you think you could do a video about misconceptions on the Autobot-Decepticon Civil War in the Bayverse? Mainly it’s confusing because of Optimus saying they were fighting over the AllSpark when Megatron betrayed him and everything all the Primes war explained in Revenge of the Fallen
Maybe why we didn't see Barricade in the mission city battle is because it would be word hearing Jess play Ironhide and Barricade in the same fight or scene

It probably show none of the people working on the comic didn't know about the last minute changes to the movie aka adding Barricade last minute. Anyway, Great Video!
Wow you make a lot of videos and they get tons of likes never stop making these video man and keep up the good work!
I’ve always wonder about Barricade voice in the first one it will deep in the third one was deep and in the last one it was normal like a normal voice thx for this video keep it up

Umm hey trans theories, I have a theory request, can you pick one to for another video you making?
1. Can cogman transform?
2. Can transformers age?
3. Why is there no insecticon in transformers bay verse?
4. Is the cube made by Jesus?
5. Why is starscream not return in the last knight?
6. How can some transformers combine into one "monstrosity" example: infernicus & devastator
7. Can some died transformers mixed so they can live again?
8. Can Autobot and decepticon force to combine
16. How/when did transformers learn to speak earth languages
That's a good theory!
20 is no and 1 is yes
I thought megatron said in tlk " I lived for this " but now I know it's barricade so thank you trans
I’ve been waiting for this
4:52 are megatrons wheels/feet clipping through the ground?
Barricade is probably my favorite in tf5 but great vid trans
I remember when seeing the voice reel from the first movie when they got to barricade they played the one in the film and one with out the filter and he sounds exactly like how he does in tlk i guess he always sound like that he just puts a filter on his voice.
Love the channel keep up the good work
barricade thought it was cool to imitate soundwave's voice, and then he lost 2 eyes and a leg that day
6:17, I think they should've Contacted Keith David, Barricade's Game actor
I got a good question. Where did Optimus's hooks come from in Revenge of the fallen and where did they go?
Awesome video trans !
hey theories, what happened to the video about transformers about them becoming more humanoid?
I think a better idea for Barricade’s role would have been this:
Scrap his arrival on Earth, replace his role with Soundwave.
It’s always a good day when trans Theories posts
I agree that they made the voices to be more humaniod cuz I really didn't understand what was they're saying when they still have an robotic voice.
No one gonna notice that megatrons both tire feet was glitching into the chair
Finally u answered this trans Thank you 🙏🏾
Babe wake up, trans theories just posted!
@9:38 it wasn’t the same voice actor? Wow I didn’t know that because they sound the same for nitro Zeus.
Yep I agree with your theory on the voice change
I frocking love these videos 👍👍
Man never thought about this great vid man
4:52 I’m now noticing that megatron’s feet clip through the ground
I like how you start speaking more robotic after talking about bay wanting more human voices
12:10 “he and the boys” that was funny to me
love it how you address the decepticons "the boys".
That's why his voice has a similar audio effect?
bro your channel name always throws me for a loop 😂😂
can’t wait for the hot rod one
I would love you to cover some sort of theory on chromia in ROTF she did not get shot. If not it’s fine. Or what if I survived Arcee sisters?
This is great, I can’t help but feel like he’s speaking like he only just got his script
I am not going to be able to watch it now, but tomorrow I will :) edit: I've watched it, nice video Trans!
Bumblebee is another example for his voice sounds different in 2007 and in the last night
2007 may have not been his voice, and tlk voiced sucked
WOOOO HES BACK
Barricade:were going home boys Micheal bay:no your gonna die for explosions
If you pause at 8:53, Hound looks a bit like his G1 counterpart, especially in his chest.
One of these days, they gotta give Barricade a more prominent role. I love him so much, one of my top 5 Cons
Great content keep it up
Trans Theories never gets old :)
10:55 "I live to serve you lord Megatron" 😩
Do you think you could do a video about misconceptions on the Autobot-Decepticon Civil War in the Bayverse? Mainly it’s confusing because of Optimus saying they were fighting over the AllSpark when Megatron betrayed him and everything all the Primes war explained in Revenge of the Fallen
Maybe why we didn't see Barricade in the mission city battle is because it would be word hearing Jess play Ironhide and Barricade in the same fight or scene
Why the 5 comments?
@@razorshark6790 why what
7:22 poor scalpel 😂
