This is the video I never thought I needed. I always thought when scorponok burrowed in transformers 07, he just chilled in a cave until rotf. This theory is way more exciting and I think it's more plausible. Also, I'm super excited for the new Mexico video

Interesting indeed. I do agree with the others though. He was most likely in the desert on standby. He also could've been gathering intel on the defenses and or military presence at Egypt since the Star harvester is there. As for Soundwave finding the NEST base he was definitely eavesdropping on every conversation, email, phone call related to the Allspark shard. He would've eventually found the location.
However, I find your theory very plausible so either one can work. Great job my dude
I don't think it's such a difficult question. He's just been chilling in the desert. He is very specifically designed for desert life, and would have no reason to ever leave until he was called on again in RotF.
I also think Blackout can transform independently of Scorponok. It just wouldn't make sense for Blackout to be stuck in robot mode, vulnerable and unable to fly, whenever he deploys Scorponok, sometimes for days on end. My theory is simply that he's just been hanging out in the desert ever since he was deployed there in 2007.

I believe being stuck in robot mode, vulnerable to humans around seing him and unable to fly is the downside of being a minicon deployer especially when the minicon becomes a part of an engine to a Cybertronian.
Scorponok only transforms into an extra engine so, yes, Blackout can transform independently.

He was talking about the Bayverse obviously smh. Plus Soundwaves minions didn't "combine" with him, the cassettes and Soundwave's boombox were two separate alt modes that were compatible with each other but could also function individually, unlike Blackout and Scorponok.

In regards to why the Decepticons were seemingly partially dismantled, I believe that it might have been to fix the autobots. Since humanity (not counting Sector 7) wouldn't have much of an idea as how to properly repair a cybertronian, and Earth wouldn't be able to provide the materials strong enough for the Autobots, they might have disassembled the Decepticons for parts. Megatron is only partially dismantled, while Blackout is completely dismantled, this is probably because Blackout had the most exposed parts, while Megatron has armor/plates covering almost every inch of his body. The most exposed parts of Blackout were his legs. The very parts Bumblebee would require, due to his being blown off.
Ok, dude I think you're overthinking it. I think Skorponok just remained in hiding after the battle because he was injured, then years later when Megatron had his forces assemble near the Pyramids, Skorponok joined them and waited for an easy target, old man Jetfire was the perfect one.
But blackout can't transform without him, meaning scorp went to LA and wasn't left behind

I think a greater question is wtf was he doing the entire time especially since was literally under nest radar until the battle at Egypt
I still have three questions.
1.) When the allspark shard revived Megatron, Blackout, Bonecrusher, and Brawl, how did Blackout get the engine back if Scorponok makes it up? Does that mean there's a second Scorponok?
2.) When the millitary experiment with Scorponoks tail, Why is it so Enourmous? We only saw a small piece break off in the desert battle.
3.) A question I also have for Laserbeak, Ravage, Alice, and the Dinobots, How can they all physically look like animals from Earth despite being from Cybertron that doesnt have Scorpions, Jaguars, and Humans?

The most likely answer for your first question is that is that He scanned a new helicopter
I have an answer for the third question. In Alice's case, she is a pretender, a kind of transformer that can modify her appearance. In some universes the pretenders can change their appearance at will, so Alice simply decided to have a human appearance to fulfill the mission of interrogating Sam. In the case of Lazerbeak, Ravage, and the Dinobots, to answer the question of why they look like earth animals, we have to look at other continuities. In the aligned continuity one of the 13 Primes is Onyx Prime, each of the Primes in this continuity has a relic, Onyx Prime's relic is a mask which allows him to see living beings from other planets, between those planets is the earth . It is also important to mention that Onyx Prime is considered to be the creator of all animal-like transformers. So, it is very possible that one of the Primes of the movie continuity had an ability similar to the Onyx mask and that is why there are transformers that look like earth animals despite having been created on Cybertron
I think Blackout, Brawl, and Bonecrusher being revived is a common misconception because if you rewatch the scene you can clearly see that the allspark energy only radiates on Megatrons body. And their bodies were probably far away sense we didn't see them, and plus if the shard really had that range then when Sam used it I think a lot more machines would've activated then just a few kitchen appliances.

-What happened to the Allspark shards after they got used?
-Why railgun wasn't used again?
-Explanaition why Transformers get managed to make their appearance and voice more humanoid?
-Story if Arcee sisters and what happened to Chromia after ROTF?

I think quintessa was made by the people in aoe to help create the rest of the cybertronian race

They just prefer that the quintessons or primus were the only ones that created prime and everyone else but like trans theories said it's only in the bayverse universe
The Thing I like about that is that “Quintessa” was in Tf G1. And it was the planet the Quintesson are in.

Imagine if Studio Series made a Core Class Scorponok that transforms into Blackout's engine. Blackout's tail part of his helicopter mode is hollow so Hasbro could maybe find a way to do it. But then I don't know if Hasbro would be able to make Scorponok transform with that small scale. Core Class Ravage just folds up while Scorponok I believe will jave ti be more complex for it to transform into something that looks like an engine.
Um i hate to burst your bubble but SS blackout does come with a mini scorponok that can store in his alt mode.

Scorponok is my 7th favourite decepticon because he can drill under dirt and sand but he can't drill into roads and buildings like his older cousin driller(Shockwave's pet).

That's an interesting theory that does add some in world logic. I always assumed he pulled a barricade and was able to make his way over from Qatar staying on the ground until he was needed again or made contact with other dexepticons to fix his tail.

They do look very similar in their protoform modes, however They have subtle differences depending on faction

@@thepaladin4335Transformers capable of flight in the cybertronian form (Megatron) do not have to enter the asteroid mode of the protoform.
I think assuming that blackout cannot transform without scorponok it a bit of a stretch, they don't operate like the vehicles themselves do, they just take the appearance. Also, we have seen countless transformers take damage and lose parts with no effect to their alt modes.
Personally I think he was just chilling around in the desert the entire time
Blackout could probably transform since he is a giant alien robot so regular vehicle logic wouldn’t apply to him, plus Barricade could transform and function in vehicle mode without Frenzy
Blackout would require Scorponok to be part of him in vehicle mode simply because his vehicle mode is a disguise, he can make it function simply by functioning himself, Scorponok just happened to disguise as the engine so he could blend in with Blackout in vehicle mode
