Bumblebee wasn't able to see where his voice box fell since he was being held by Blitzwing by the neck. So his voice box was actually lost or potentially completely broken when it fell from the cliff, and since no one else was on Earth at that time to back Bumblebee up no one else saw the fight or where the voice box may have fallen. So how would ratchet have ever fixed up Bumblebee with no correct voice box or the parts to even somewhat improvise.
Hey I came up with a theory on how megatron knew English. I believe it was because he could hear all the humans while he was frozen and basically learn the language over time. This also explains why the first thing he saids is “I am megatron” because he was constantly annoyed that they refer to him as “NBE-1”

You know, there was a point you made split across two separate points. Bumblebee makes a "dial change" sound before he speaks with his thought-to-be real voice in the first film and also before the few lines he spoke in The Last Knight. Thus the theory that Bumblebee combined his voice box with the radio is less plausible. What I want to say is that maybe when he speaks in the first film, he is quoting from another movie or television. "I wish to stay with the boy" has a different tone to it than if he said Sam's name, which both he and Optimus refer to him by, but it was the closest quote he could find to express himself. Now I searched this quote and didn't find where else it could have come from. Still, what do you think? End of the day, it's easier to just say that Michael Bay screwed up.

I kinda get how bumblebee feels. when I was younger, I couldn't really express myself properly with my own words, so I mainly spoke with action. then, I moved on to using quotes from movies, shows, songs, videogames, or even memes, to get my point across. as I got older, I've gotten better at speaking for myself and saying what I mean, but even still, I sometimes go back to just quoting references, and using this whole "animated" way of communicating, kinda out of habit, but mainly because the whole pop culture reference thing just became part of my personality (cringe, I know lol) (although sometimes my real voice comes out due to strong emotion as well) but long story short, speaking from experience, this theory makes a hell of a lot of sense.
This takes me back to the time I did my own theory on how Bee got his own voiced back, I pretty much came to the same conclusion as you did that Cade fixed it but I like how you added all of these extra details to better flesh out the concept. In the movies I always sort of imagined that the TF's could regenerate some of the parts and replace others(AOE Optimus Prime scans a new truck slightly changing his gun and body type) so I always assumed that once Cade did some of the heavy lifting at placing a sort of non functional voicebox in Bee it was only a matter of time until the wound healed itself. Joshua in TF4 did say that Transformiun is living metal sort of like living tissue or cells so I always sort of in the back of my head viewed it that way. Anyways, man my crazy theory rambling aside good job as always.
In The Last Knight Bumbelbee maneged to speak because he wanted to stop Optimus from killing an old friend. Just imagined how awful it would be for Optimus to find out that he killed Bumbelbee, his oldest and dear friend.

If you listen closely, his TLK voice sounds abit raspy, like someone whos dehydrated or getting over a sore throat. Bumblebee lost his voice in a scene of the movie Bumblebee (2018) while fighting the Decepticon Blitzwing. He lost his voice when he said that he will never talk and got stabbed and got his voice box pulled out. So he didn't lost his voice on Cybertron. It is just that Cybertron is where Prime and Bee last talked and met before they are reunited on Earth.
I was about to say that maybe what prime meant by “I haven’t heard your voice since cybertron fell” he probably meant his real voice not the TF one voice at the end. But you pretty much nailed it right on the head.
It's explained in both Transformers Exodus (novel) and Fall of Cybertron. Fall actually showed the scene, Megatron had him captured and gave Optimus an ultimatum or Bumblebee would die, I believe. Something like that it's been a long while since I played my fave TF game. It goes wrong and Megatron shoots Bee in his voice box and the trailers showed the aftermath, with Optimus holding a wounded (possibly dying) Bee (you could say dying bc his internal lights are flickering rapidly) due to the shot being near point blank and causing much more damage to Bee himself. As for the movies not having him able to truly speak, it's because damage to Cybertronian voice boxes is pretty much irreparable except with frequent tune-ups (Ratchet and Cade) and time, just like a human's could be damaged in the same way. It's not confirmed as canon to the Bayverse as the true story but it makes a lot more sense as to why it took 15 or so years after the rest of the autobots arrived on Earth for the voice to truly come through in Last Knight

i just found something out. In TLK when bumblebee speaks that little circle thing it spins but while when he speaks in the 2007 movie it stays still. Almost like a vinyl record player. So the "damage" could be that a part of it was fractured or maybe even a piece of metal stuck and ratchet couldn't see it? Who knows.
Sweet. One thing I would like to say is with Prime saying that he hasn't heard Bee's voice since cybertron. Some people would say that this is a retcon but I think there is a in universe reason which is that he just accidentally said that (ie he meant to say since the 07 film but said since cybertron) the reason could be that he was thinking about the time when bee lost his voice when he was mind controlled and just accidentally said that he last heard it since cybertron (since it kind of happened to me)

My question was “why didn’t Bumblebees voice box heal like how Optimus’ window pieces and mirrors were when they were damaged in revenge of the fallen?” But then I realized that real life vocal cords can’t be healed fully which will make a person make a weird voice. I think the best bumble bee voice was in the Bee movie. It was youthful full of emotion. I was hoping moving on they would use that voice. The radio box was kinda hard for me. I preferred his own damaged voice that said thank you and I don’t know. I wonder if he knew signing? I personally liked the Bee movie story on Blitzwing tearing it out. And he getting his name officially from Charli. I think Ratchet was the first to try with Bees voice and Kade put in some work too. I personally did not like any of the voices before Bee movie.

This takes me back to the time I did my own theory on how Bee got his own voiced back, I pretty much came to the same conclusion as you did that Cade fixed it but I like how you added all of these extra details to better flesh out the concept. In the movies I always sort of imagined that the TF's could regenerate some of the parts and replace others(AOE Optimus Prime scans a new truck slightly changing his gun and body type) so I always assumed that once Cade did some of the heavy lifting at placing a sort of non functional voicebox in Bee it was only a matter of time until the wound healed itself. Joshua in TF4 did say that Transformiun is living metal sort of like living tissue or cells so I always sort of in the back of my head viewed it that way. Anyways, man my crazy theory rambling aside good job as always.

In The Last Knight Bumbelbee maneged to speak because he wanted to stop Optimus from killing an old friend. Just imagined how awful it would be for Optimus to find out that he killed Bumbelbee, his oldest and dear friend.

If you listen closely, his TLK voice sounds abit raspy, like someone whos dehydrated or getting over a sore throat. Also i thought when he used his radio voice when the Guardian Knights are around, and hound called them "Wusses", i thought bee was nervous especially after seeing what they can do to Optimus.
It could've been when Optimus tried stabbing Bee, his voice just jumbled around in his mechanic body.
The best part is that this man corrects Michael Bay's mistakes.

Me too. I want the Bayverse world and designs to still be used, they can use a different directors or have duo directors (they can bring in a strong, Story-driven director to work with Bay as he takes the role of action director.)

Bumblebee lost his voice in a scene of the movie Bumblebee (2018) while fighting the Decepticon Blitzwing. He lost his voice when he said that he will never talk and got stabbed and got his voice box pulled out. So he didn't lost his voice on Cybertron. It is just that Cybertron is where Prime and Bee last talked and met before they are reunited on Earth.

It's explained in both Transformers Exodus (novel) and Fall of Cybertron. Fall actually showed the scene, Megatron had him captured and gave Optimus an ultimatum or Bumblebee would die, I believe. Something like that it's been a long while since I played my fave TF game. It goes wrong and Megatron shoots Bee in his voice box and the trailers showed the aftermath, with Optimus holding a wounded (possibly dying) Bee (you could say dying bc his internal lights are flickering rapidly) due to the shot being near point blank and causing much more damage to Bee himself. As for the movies not having him able to truly speak, it's because damage to Cybertronian voice boxes is pretty much irreparable except with frequent tune-ups (Ratchet and Cade) and time, just like a human's could be damaged in the same way. It's not confirmed as canon to the Bayverse as the true story but it makes a lot more sense as to why it took 15 or so years after the rest of the autobots arrived on Earth for the voice to truly come through in Last Knight
u never disappoint. maybe do a theory on the bumblebee movie, of how optimus survived and escaped cybertron, because we never really got to see how he did it or how he did it
i just found something out. In TLK when bumblebee speaks that little circle thing it spins but while when he speaks in the 2007 movie it stays still. Almost like a vinyl record player. So the "damage" could be that a part of it was fractured or maybe even a piece of metal stuck and ratchet couldn't see it? Who knows.
Bumblebee was my most favorite character out of every Transformers Movie and Video games Great Theory.
His 2007 voice sounds a lot like cogman. Maybe cogman’s head design is a nod to that
Sweet. One thing I would like to say is with Prime saying that he hasn't heard Bee's voice since cybertron. Some people would say that this is a retcon but I think there is a in universe reason which is that he just accidentally said that (ie he meant to say since the 07 film but said since cybertron) the reason could be that he was thinking about the time when bee lost his voice when he was mind controlled and just accidentally said that he last heard it since cybertron (since it kind of happened to me)
Or if you consider the WWII flashback non cannon and bee's solo movie as a prequel prime did actually last hear bumblebee's voice when cybertron fell

My question was “why didn’t Bumblebees voice box heal like how Optimus’ window pieces and mirrors were when they were damaged in revenge of the fallen?” But then I realized that real life vocal cords can’t be healed fully which will make a person make a weird voice. Kinda like how you said that if a tooth breaks itll heal back but if that screwed in tooth made by the dentist breaks it won’t heal back

I think the best bumble bee voice was in the Bee movie. It was youthful full of emotion. I was hoping moving on they would use that voice. The radio box was kinda hard for me. I preferred his own damaged voice that said thank you and I don’t know. I wonder if he knew signing? I personally liked the Bee movie story on Blitzwing tearing it out. And he getting his name officially from Charli. I think Ratchet was the first to try with Bees voice and Kade put in some work too. I personally did not like any of the voices before Bee movie.

Alright, I see some things that suggest more incontinuity with your theory... When I bought the 2007 DVD, the original release was released with a Bonus DVD called "Beginnings"... It was basically a rundown of a comic-book that showed Megatron damaging Bumblebees voice-box before he left Cybertron... Just do yourself a favor and check it out... its interesting... It may also, redefine your theory... Loved the video BTW...
