I, who am watching this city building game for the first time, would like to know if we can also build on the slopes - the land with butons, or hills - and also in the mountains, with roads and cycle paths?

Just stumbled into this video and it was crazy helpful, loved each tip. Note* for building a landmark or building in the center of a roundabout, increase the diameter of the roundabout and connect an underground road so it can be visited and serviced.

This is the game we wished Simcity 4 was with mods. Amazing... sure the PS4 version isn’t as “capable” as the PC version but this is still impressive

Oh, THANK YOU, Ricky King, for making a 6yr old game seem a little more "newer". I love the advice about making docks and ferries proportionate to their terrain heights. I'm so guilty in ALL of my current and past cities of forcing passengers to leap to their ferries or fishing boats to sail under their piers🤣😂😲.

Those intersection ideas are very neat!
I've played with shoreline a bit myself and water facilities looking best on a quay with 1-2 height lines before the water level. Overall great video

8:26 How do you give access to the services that need to get to that monument that you built in the roundabout?
There's a certain distance (about two cells from the road) that a building can be placed, and still services can reach them. Even with the "No connection" sign shows above the building, miraculously, services can reach them.
8: select road, then right top corner select r1, snap to, select toggle zoning, you can remove zoning off normal roads or either side. Gets rid of misalignment of squares, or if you have a long countryside road and are not planning to build, you can de zone it. Need to play around with it a little as when you join to another, it can de zone it too, go back and upgrade that road to a zoned or vice versa

You need the Mass Transit DLC

Tip for u industrial zones I used zoo park tiles as ploppable asphalt around warehouses etc it's not grey but still looks better then grass

the one thing i hate about console is that you can’t edit road patterns and the exits on highways can’t be less than 45deg from the highway so they look super sharp instead of gradual

Those are footpaths, from Parklife DLC (or Campus DLC).

I have a video about money tips, try using some of it. Basically, check the budget and see which has the highest expense and reduce that. You can also raise the tax upto 12 or 13%.

that's not a console version ya showing couse I dont have half of them roads u showed there only on the pc version ?
These are definitely console :). Some roads came with DLC's. If you have DLC's like Snowfall, Mass Transit, Industries, surely you'll have all the roads. Thanks for watching, Derek.

How do you get the fence in Cities skylines ps4? I seem to not find it anywhere.
It came with Parklife and Industries DLC, plus one from Airports DLC.

Hello Ricky King, I wonder you understand the cargo trains well ? Since I have this city that only has trains , no ocean .. so can only use cargo trains , and even the railroad is straight they just keep standing still and not moving throughout the whole city and I don't know what's making the clog up happen but it's annoying since nobody in the city is getting their train supplies cuz they are all just standing there , any advice ? 😩
Check your tracks if they are all connected. See if you used the one-way track. Check all track junction connections too.
@@RickyKingPlays yes I checked them all , I don't know why the game did this to me , but the train jam was outside of city limits , I followed all the trains lining up and they lead to outside the city lines , since we only have 9 areas to unlock I could not unlock that part to fix it , it's just strange since inside the city most trains just moved normally , but the one line that went outside the city was full of trains and the jam started somewhere outside the city Lines wich is annoying 😩 oh well starting over again

It's a cheat you can turn on, before you start a game. or you can select option on an existing current game.

Slightly raise the land where the column would be. Then level the land again when you already placed the bridge.

Hi is this on PS5? I Cant improve the visual experience in my PS5 is there something I'm supposed to activate? I have even downloaded the modern city DLC and cant even see that it's had an effect on my city? I can't seem to get the detailed look you are acheiving
Hello. I'm using PS4 first version. I believe this is even enhanced on PS4 Pro, so it says. Sorry, I'm not familiar with PS5 graphics for this game, but I've heard this issue before. I'll get back to you once I gathered more info about this.

Natural Disasters is a DLC. You have to purchase it. I think it was on sale or free a few months ago.

I recently just came across cities skyline and I’m kind of obsessed with watching videos please tell me it’s free on PS4 and out of the box I can build some fantastic cities
It's not free, but they often put it on sale. Keep monitoring it on PS Store.

The Main Problem of the console Edition is the missing round about builder.
The originals are to big Sometimes and Do It yourself is really messy.
As more you build as more the City doesnt Look natural. And I tend to Use way to Much grids.
But its easier to Do on the console.

For roundabouts, it really helps if you level the ground first before making the roundabout.
Create big spaces like spacious landscape around landmark buildings. It helps in breaking the grid.

So i dont use it much.
Exept you Start a game with "cheats" then i Level everthing out. But then its Looks again like its Not grown natural.

It will only work for ploppables and not on growables. Ploppables are buildings that you place yourself such as service buildings, landmarks, transport stations, parks, etc.

Tip 7 : you can use highway roads as long as you keep a segment of standard road in front of the building

At 6:16 what is the road with the trees in the middle. It looks like one way 2 lanes with fence and trees. But I couldn’t get the fences in because the game wouldn’t let me with the gap on this road
Yes, those are one-way, 2-lane road. I placed the trees between two roads. For the fences, you should have at least 1 cell gap between roads, and lay them alternately, passing the end of the other because it will snap at the end.

Try turning off all snapping tools before laying the temporary road.

Yes. Just select "walking" from the view menu.

There are additional roads from Snowfall (road with tram line), Mass Transit, and Industries DLC
I already knew about a few of these tricks, but the marina one and the hwy column, & metro definitely will help me out with future builds
