True a witch can not fly. The best we can do is a working to help us get a really good deal on airline tickets. It's not as flashy, but it's still useful.

one of the comments under the actual video, said that what he meant was that the witches would put herbs on a broom and ‘ride’ it and ‘fly’ meaning they’d get high from the effects of the herbs by ‘riding’ or rubbing their va*ina on the broom

like at least yalls deities actually respond, thats one of the reasons im starting to stray to paganism (im a baby witch and im leaning toward paganism but its hard because i never had any bad experiences with the church or christianity, i actually have a lot of good memories and have had a really nice time like youth group or church camp so its hard to leave that behind)

    • @sally9352
      @sally9352 3 ปีที่แล้ว +26

I find it weird when people think the Judeo Christian God doesn't respond, when christianity is having a relationship with him. He talks, he responds, he gives personal messages, he answers prayers. I think people who don't get a response from God is because they are not tapping into the spiritual side, because He says when you pray, pray in the spirit. A relationship is a two way street, just like pagans can communicate with the spirit world and their deities so can Christians but most Christians don't know how and that's the sad part.

I think once, my sports house did witchcraft accidentally. It was hot day, we had marching with small drums, and we jokingly mimicked the wind summoning drumming (those without drums jumped to the beat) and voila, a strong breeze came and cooled us down.
We did not win the march, though. It was too coincidental, thus I believed we did summoned the wind for a short time.
There's many instances I noticed wind summonings too, not that I am the one wishing for it.

I think the first time I realized even setting your intentions/thoughts/energy towards a malice intent can do harm was when I was in 9th grade. I didn't know much about witchcraft or anything related to it at the time so I didn't see any harm in what my friends and I were doing. Everyday on the way up from lunch to our science class we would "wish" at 11:11am that something would happen to our teacher so that she wouldn't be in school/teaching (we didn't like her since she was a bit mean and a very harsh grader). Anyways again none of us saw any harm in what we were doing so everyday all 11-12 of us would wish for this for months straight everyday even on weekends🤦🏼‍♀️. One day we came into class and were so happy we had a sub. Then the next day we had a sub too and were still happy like yay she's not here thinking maybe she was on vacation or something, but this went on for over 2 weeks and we started wondering what happened to her. Turns out she developed cancer and was out getting chemo treatments and almost died. I don't know if what we did contributed to this in any way, but she was out for the rest of the year and came back the next year without any hair, very slim/frail, and a completely different person and teacher, much nicer and a very easy grader perhaps because she was tired I'm not sure. Anyways I can never be sure that what we did had any impact on her horrible situation, but it was definitely enough to scare me away from ever doing any sort of negative magic or even directing negative intents towards any person because you never know what harm that can cause someone else and in my eyes no one deserves that.

Oh and a few months into the next school year I was in a ski accident that damaged my neck and part of my brain and led to me being incredibly sick; Hashimotos hypothyroditis, adrenal issues, PCOS, POTS, and other things. This led to me being out of school for the rest of the year and homebound for the next 2 years.. Flash forward 3 years to present day and I'm starting to feel normal again but I missed pretty much all of my high school years and first year of college, times and experiences that I'll never get back/get to experience. I am Wiccan now (have been practicing and learning for the past 4 years) and 100% believe in the Threeefold Law/ The Rule of Three and adhere to the wiccan rede. Even if all of this is unrelated or just coincidental there's always the chance that it isn't and I don't want to risk anything like this ever happening again.

I had a similar experience, there was a kid who was mean to my friends and just generally disrespectful so I put a killing curse on him in 8th grade thinking none of my spells had worked before so this one won’t work either, then about a month or two later he got in a car accident, he broke his leg and was in a coma for a couple of weeks, I still don’t know if I had anything to do with it but I don’t do many hexes anymore.... then about a few months after that I started getting bad rashes and getting extremely sick around my period, for a couple of years we tried to figure out what was going on and it turns out that I have lupus and now I have stage 1 kidney disease because of it... I don’t know if any of this has to do with that spell but now I always warn my baby witch friends about the dangers of hexing

Hahahahaha Dylan is my bloody spirit animal 😂 so I had something similar! I was already 10 years into my path as this moment happened to me last year. There was a bully in our mothers group just a disgusting type that pitted the mothers against each other and had a queen bee complex. After the final straw of her spreading rumours about our family amongst the kindy kids I went straight home, photocopied her latest photo and wrote a petition on the back. I bound it in 3 meters of black ribbon SCREAMING at it that I’m binding her and her toxicity. The next week her family had moved SCHOOLS and she had been at our school already for 7 years! I couldn’t BELIEVE it because I still consider myself a studier and the occasional practitioner.

The thing about binding spells is so true! When I was a beginner, I tried to hex a girl who was bullying a friend of mine in school (don't do this kids, dark magic is not for beginners, I was dumb) and I poured so much rage into the spell that two weeks later the girl moved away and we never saw her again. That was the "oh shit, I'm a f*cking witch" moment for me

I'm always really glad when I hear people talking about non-female representation in witchcraft. Both myself and my friend who practice witchcraft fall into the Non-binary spectrum, and it's just.... really nice to see some non-female representation. As a genderfluid/Trans-man.... I'm always so happy to see male witches in videos C:
I also really liked the fact you talked about inherent witches. I've only recently fully started identifying as a witch and really incorporated witchcraft into my life, but.... I've always had a draw to it. Witchcraft just.... feels so natural and right, and it made me really realize that I was probably always meant for this path.
Finally: I 👏 STAN 👏 TRATIONAL 👏 WITCHCRAFT!!! Like, I personally don't do hexes and curses and magic like this, just because I'm still very new, and I'd rather learn about it and really understand this type of magic before getting my hands in on all of it. HOWEVER!!! I admire people who are so confidence and really understand this type of magick: it's powerful and (if done incorrectly) it can be dangerous. I want to be that level of confidence in my practice and I want to be that level of knowledgeably one day, so I want to learn more and more about it from people who actually do it.

I love all of this!! I agree there needs to be more representation outside of just women witches, and I think in time there will be for sure. Many of the witchy groups I'm in on Discord have a strong LGBTQIA presence and are incredibly friendly and welcoming to the full spectrum of gender identity, many even with dedicated channels for chatting together about LGBTQIA subjects etc. I think many are still pretty new to the craft and I hope as they gain experience and more begin their journey in witchcraft that soon there will be a greater presence of non-binary, male and other identities within witchcraft and therefore on TH-cam etc. If you're not already on Discord and in some of the witchy groups there, I highly recommend it.

THANK YOU for mentioning that some witches work with the Christian God. I get so much backlash for saying I’m a witch, but I work with God. Some people just cannot differentiate between Wicca/Satanism/Paganism and witchcraft. Yes, there are witches who follow those religions, but witchcraft is solely a practice. For example, one thing I want to start doing is anyone who needs to be prayed for with their consent, or comes to me to pray for them, I make poppets and stuff them with herbs that align with the specific goal of the prayer, with a piece of paper that has their name on it, along with something personal (piece of jewelry, hair, etc.) and I pray over that until they get their answer. Witchcraft for me is a way to take my intentions, subconscious thoughts, etc and use the tools as a physical manifestation to direct it.

Whilst we do not tend to use the term wizard it’s more than ‘Harry potter bullshit’ it comes from Anglo Saxon meaning wise one and was sometimes used in regards to the cunning folk.
Warlock is also actually a bit more complex but pagan books have defined these as such :)
This is good just little bumps along the way :)
I totally agree the calling element though I admit I feel witchcraft is a specific branch of magic not just a synonym for magic

Just going to say my experience with kinda knowing i was meant for this path. Ive always questioned christianity more than the other kids because were i live it is very Christian dominated. And of course as a kid you learn about the old gods, and in elementary school my teacher said, after reading a book about the Greek Gods, "Who think this is real?" i was the only one to put my hand up and said "God doesn't make any sense to me, but this feels more right for me." and EVERYONE in the room popped off on me as a kid and called me devil worshipper and how i needed jesus and i just needed to read he bible more... then oh boy when i would draw pentacles they would scream that even more so i had no friends and now even in Highschool going to be a senior some of them still think im a crazy evil satanist... but at least now i know im not insane because i shoved it all into a box because i thought something was wrong with me until i found more people like me online and now im here ^-^

I made a design at the back of them, took them to school and "read" the future to my classmates

Also a classmate complain that i said something horrible was going to happen at home, and yes, her mother was robbed with a gun 2 days after i gave him a read

I hear ya on binding spells. I had awesome success with one I did several years ago.
A note on the word, "warlock"... I think that's an iffy term that there is much debate around. Yes, the common understanding is that it means "oath breaker", but the history there is suspect, and I do know many people in the magical community are attempting to "take back" the term. Storm Faerywolf uses the term and wrote a pretty good article about it not too long ago (I'm sure you could Google it, I don't have a link lol).
The video was ok. I wish there was one of these "I spent time with real Witches" videos that actually went more *in depth*... maybe a multiple-part series, ya know? When they're so short like this though, I feel like it causes a lot of confusion (ie the whole "Threefold Law" thing). I'm sure it was confusing to the viewers when the Strega Witch (with the Wiccan influence) was talking about how your actions come back three-fold, and then in another scene, the other two Witches are talking about hexes and the like, ya know? I can imagine that someone completely new to Witchcraft would be confused by that.
    Awesome reaction, Hearth! :-)

I think I’ve been a witch my whole life without realising it too. When I was a child I had a lot of weird experiences to this day I can’t understand. And there are little things that I do which would be considered witchcraft. I haven’t done a lot of research, I’ve heard of Wicca, paganism etc. But I’ve never looked further into it. I did my first spell this year without realising. I was running a bath the night before a job interview. I was really looking forward to it. I put hemp, coconut and lime bath salts in my bath, lit a few green candles, washed my hair with green apple shampoo, used a salt scrub with is the same as the bath salts and basically visualised the bad luck washing away and being cleansed by the water. When they water went down the plug I visualised the bad luck going down the drain. Then asked the universe for new luck, not even good luck but just new as I will make the luck with what my intentions are. So the next day I went to this interview, I want to add I am really shy especially when it’s anything official. A job in a nursery is pretty official. So I go in and the manager says go find some kids and we will see how you do. I asked her if I could do a creative activity with the children because it’s were I am most comfortable. If anyone has ever worked with children, it is so awkward to go up to a group and sit with them and join in their game. 1- they don’t want you to ruin their fun, 2- they don’t know me yet, I am a complete stranger. If I have something fun to do they will come to me, can I just say this is by far my best interview yet I loved the whole hour which felt like ten minutes. So I decided to grab some toy dinosaurs and dip their feet in paint and the kids can paint a picture using the dinosaurs. About five kids instantly walk over the minute they see the paint, which I knew would happen because a lot of kids love crafty stuff. Anyway I made sure to talk to all the kids and just do my job essentially, I was so nervous because I hadn’t been in a nursery for over a year and had been teaching children English online. So anyway when I finished the interview the manager told me that one of the kids that I was working with is extremely shy and only goes to a few members of staff, and I had her talking away. I completely brought this little girl out of her shell and it really warmed my heart because that’s why I do my job. So I go to my parents in laws who we had been living with but only recently just moved out. Was waiting for my father in law to get home so I could tell him how it went. After I told him the whole story I said “ I think I got the job” I got a email from the manager saying they’d love to have me join the team and I was over the moon, then covid happened and they could only offer me certain hours which would have paid my travel there and home so it wasn’t beneficial to me and my family. My partners business can offer more money for less hours so I had to turn the job down. But like I said, I have no idea what I’m doing. I did a healing candle spell for my partner last week, we recently just had our car completely get written off. It’s not road worthy anymore. Which has put us in a financial position. We need a car otherwise we cannot work. My partner and I have had a tough few years. He needed to be able to get through this time without losing hope. Not in us just in life. It’s been really hard on us, last week he crashed the quad bike at work a few days before that his brother was in a crash, two years ago nearly we lost his uncle in law. Our car constantly eating our savings because it’s 15 years old and is just finished. Or go back to 3 years ago (nearly) him leaving the army getting an amazing job 27,000 a year!!! And the company going bankrupt after six months of him joining. That’s why we moved in with his parents and I left my nursery job that I had been in for four years. I have always been the optimist and been able to say we are okay but this week has been hard. We just bought a new car today ( second hand but new to us) with the help of my parents in law. We had to take a small loan. But we are fortunate to have what we have and be able to live comfortably. It’s our 5 year anniversary this month on the 19th and on the 25th we go on a little get away with the rest of the fam 🥰

Hollywood placed witchcraft into a box and I only recently realized I've been practicing witchcraft for years and years now and just not labelling it as such, to me it's either meditation, or cleansing, or praying, didn't know there was a term for all of those rituals put together. But, interestingly enough, I've always been drawn to witchcraft. I just only recently stopped denying myself the want to study.

One point to be made on the difference between candle/fire magick and birthday candle rituals. we do not blow candles out to make wishes You should NEVER blow candles out in magickal workings (the idea behind this being that you are using one element to cancel out another) either use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame if it is an ongoing rite over a period of time (eg: a lunar cycle etc) generally they are left to burn themselves out. As an aside that probably explains a lot of 'urban exploration' videos where people go to remote locations and find the aftermath of a rite where the candles are still burning with no-one around (which can be kinda spooky agreed) If you find your self in a similar situation DO NOT touch anything and just go (unless it is an obvious fire hazard).

I liked how he filmed it, however, I felt like some witches were taking the piss, or they were labeling certain practices as specifically witchcraft, when it’s bigger than that.
Maybe I’m too judgmental, however, that’s kind of how I felt.

My "aha!" spell wasn't a binding, but a communication uncrossing. Someone I'd been close with and I had developed some baggage and stopped being able to have unforced conversation. I did a candle spell, and the next day we spontaneously talked for HOURS.
That wasn't my first successful spell, but it was the first one to work that quickly that spectacularly. It was galvanizing.

What you said about the mamby-pamby stuff really resonated. I'm very new to the craft but I already felt like a lot of witches in the online groups I've joined really push the rule of 3 (which I personally don't think makes sense, given the laws of nature) and I was starting to feel a bit left out or even wicked somehow for being drawn to 'darker' workings. I found it upsetting when someone asked for assistance with a hex to be told by 50+ people to not do it because of the rule of 3 :(

I believe in the reed of “harm ne none and do what you will”, “the rule of three” and “karma”. I’m into tarot’s, crystals, candle magic and herbal prayers and cleansing. I’ve been very sensitive with people energy and get a lot of dejavú before it happens.

Blessed be Lady Hearth. I just wanted to say that even though we are as we are, I don't really have a term or label for what we tend to do, traditionally. I am also a witch, but that term has been so stigmatized, but if a term so be applied, I guess I prefer the term scholar of the arcane. Silly, but it works. Anyway, love and light to thee Lady Hearth. May Cerridwen smile upon thee always. So more it be. 🧙

As far as the one lady saying that she always was a witch, it's probably like someone naturally finding it pleasing to speak in a rhythmic fashion with certain pitches that are pleasing to the ear and someone being a singer. Someone could naturally pick up on some of the things that might be classified as witchcraft and then might come to the realization that the stuff they always did could be described as witchcraft.

I've done a number of spells and rituals and had them come to full fruition pretty quickly. Binding someone from doing harm, calling someone's as yet unknown true love to them, revealing the truth about a person and their intentions, among other things.

That's funny because I was just thinking about how the term "Christian Witch" is really interesting because growing up Catholic, "Christian" usually meant Protestant to me. A lot of the Christian witch literature I've read also seems more influenced by Protestant traditions or Jehovah's Witnesses and I've been having a hard time finding one written by a Catholic.

To me, my moment I started to believe in witchcraft blew my mind. We played some kind of board game and I was wishing for the right number on my dice. I got the right number. Tried it again, again, again. It always worked, as long as I did it in silence. That opened my eyes, and scared me tbh.

I am wiccan who happens to be a witch. I was taught that wicca and witch craft are two separate things. A wiccan doesnt automatically practice witchcraft just like someone who practices witchcraft isnt automatically wiccan. I started to practice wicca and witchcraft at an early age, but my own mother knew right away once I was able to verbalize my thoughts and feelings that I was just that. She always called me a "natural born witch" simply to say she watched the witch in me my entire life. I believe we all really are, but some are conditioned to close out that part of themselves in certain ways, though it will always be there regardless. Those are my beliefs on that.
