There is a difference between humans practicing wicca and for example beings living on trees who might appear as a human but something will always be amiss, such as reversed feet or leaving foot prints with only left feet with one extra long toe that apears at the front and from the heal. Some times these foot prints go up the walls and start getting smaller and smaller and disappear at the ceiling meeting line.

I am a kitchen witch that dresses in late 40's and 50's frilly dresses. Imagine that! No long fingers, more flower prints then Black dresses and you are more likely to find me in my garden or my kitchen. I am realy dangerous for your diet, I always have cake, pie or cookies that are magical!

Scarlett and Jello, I understand being anti social and scared of having someone walk up on you while your practicing. I personally work in the early morning hours at just about sunrise. So that's my advice, work in the early morning hours. I hope this helps both of you practice in peace.

For the graveyard one I go by graveyards just go to talk to those spirits who want to talk. There is a lovely one connected to the historical society in my area. Also it should be noted that graveyards used to be gathering areas, kind of like how parks are today. A place to celebrate life.

It's so weird for me to see these clips from graveyards abroad that look like they've been abandoned for two centuries, all overgrown and gravestones crooked and all. Where I'm from, graveyards are well maintained. Even the ones that they don't bury people in, anymore. They're treated kind of like parks, there are flower arrangements and all, the parish also employs people just to maintain the greenspaces. I've even worked at a graveyard for one summer, and it was very calm park work. Just, you know, mowing lawn on graves and planting flowers in front of them and watering them and such. The family of the one buried can also make maintenance suggestions on their family's specific grave, and the workers will tend to the grave accordingly, straightening the headstone, planting flowers of their liking etc. I have never seen an unmaintained graveyard, here. The "spookiest" thing I took part in during my summer job was to rake over the pile of soil next to an opened grave before a funeral, to make sure there are no bones or such in the pile when the family comes to mourn (I did not find bones, only a single coffin nail). Oh, and we did visit the chapel cellar and saw some urns and coffins. I remember us wondering at a very elaborate coffin, it was all polished wood and had carvings, and must have been expensive 😅 Coffins are pricey in general! Oh, let me tell you a spooky story: One day while we were doing a watering round on our specific part of the graveyard, there was an old woman who came to ask me if I knew where a certain person was buried. I turned around to ask my supervisor if she knew, and when I turned back, the old woman wasn't there, anymore! I felt a bit spooked at that... Until I noticed the woman had just moved on to the next isle, looking through the names in the stones. But yeah, I've never felt scared at a graveyard. It's a park. And a resting place. The atmosphere in all the ones I've visited has been only calm and serene. There's a tradition here, to go visit your passed family members during certain bigger holidays like Christmas and All Hallow's Eve, and to leave candles in front of the graves. In the evenings of those holidays, the graveyard looks like a shimmering sea of lights, it's absolutely beautiful!

As a female urbexer who's often explored on my own, the last thing I'd want is to have some bloke blasting their way into where I am. It would be terrifying and my first instinct would be to hide. I certainly wouldn't go in to practice the craft, lol. Straight in, take as many photos as possible and straight out again before being seen is my motto! I'm from Africa and can tell you that people definitely use body parts for witchcraft. Sometimes children. Sometimes albinos. Traditional healers are called "Sangoma" in my country(South Africa). Sangoma is like a Shaman almost. Some might say "witch" or witch doctor. Most Sangomas use plants and animals to practice. But there are a small minority that use humans. I practice witchcraft myself, but we can't whitewash the fact that some people doing spells are evil.
Now, I am a witch and my work uniform at a retail store is a black shirt... but the two things have nothing to do with eachother.... honest.... But seriously, outside of work, I dress for comfort and function moreso than fashion or aesthetic, as I am autistic and not all fashionable things are sensory friendly. When I do want to dress in an expressive way, my style sense changes depending on how and what I'm feeling that day.
The one with the witch cave was debunked quite a few years ago; around 2011-2012 by the Syfy show Fact or Faked! They were able to recreate the video almost perfectly with a few wires, strings, and some fabric. It was one of my favorite shows growing up, so I almost always recognize when a video has been on the show.
As for the abandoned building If I walked up to a abandoned house & I saw signs that read "No trespassing", "Stay away" I'd keep walking , as there could be a reason for the house being a Hazard to other people

For the graveyard one I go by graveyards just go to talk to those spirits who want to talk. There is a lovely one connected to the historical society in my area.

The one with the “witches den” made me think that it could be a hill that they are on. Hills exist and if you are on a hill top you can look like you are in the air if you are viewed from behind a tree line from below.

Fun fact, it's actually not rust that causes tetanus. Dirt carries it. It's associated with rust only because rusty nails are a good way to deliver dirt deep into the body so the tetanus can get inside a nerve bundle.

This is why I love the show Good Witch… it’s so simple, with positive stories, pretty “normal people”, and it doesn’t feed into these silly stereotypes. I wish it were a little more witchy, but I’m happy it showed a Hearth Witch side without the stereotypes. ❤
It's so weird for me to see these clips from graveyards abroad that look like they've been abandoned for two centuries, all overgrown and gravestones crooked and all. Where I'm from, graveyards are well maintained. Even the ones that they don't bury people in, anymore. They're treated kind of like parks, there are flower arrangements and all, the parish also employs people just to maintain the greenspaces. I've even worked at a graveyard for one summer, and it was very calm park work. Just, you know, mowing lawn on graves and planting flowers in front of them and watering them and such. The family of the one buried can also make maintenance suggestions on their family's specific grave, and the workers will tend to the grave accordingly, straightening the headstone, planting flowers of their liking etc. I have never seen an unmaintained graveyard, here. The "spookiest" thing I took part in during my summer job was to rake over the pile of soil next to an opened grave before a funeral, to make sure there are no bones or such in the pile when the family comes to mourn (I did not find bones, only a single coffin nail). Oh, and we did visit the chapel cellar and saw some urns and coffins. I remember us wondering at a very elaborate coffin, it was all polished wood and had carvings, and must have been expensive 😅 Coffins are pricey in general!
Oh, let me tell you a spooky story: One day while we were doing a watering round on our specific part of the graveyard, there was an old woman who came to ask me if I knew where a certain person was buried. I turned around to ask my supervisor if she knew, and when I turned back, the old woman wasn't there, anymore! I felt a bit spooked at that... Until I noticed the woman had just moved on to the next isle, looking through the names in the stones.
But yeah, I've never felt scared at a graveyard. It's a park. And a resting place. The atmosphere in all the ones I've visited has been only calm and serene. There's a tradition here, to go visit your passed family members during certain bigger holidays like Christmas and All Hallow's Eve, and to leave candles in front of the graves. In the evenings of those holidays, the graveyard looks like a shimmering sea of lights, it's absolutely beautiful!

As a female urbexer who's often explored on my own, the last thing I'd want is to have some bloke blasting their way into where I am. It would be terrifying and my first instinct would be to hide. I certainly wouldn't go in to practice the craft, lol. Straight in, take as many photos as possible and straight out again before being seen is my motto! I'm from Africa and can tell you that people definitely use body parts for witchcraft. Sometimes children. Sometimes albinos. Traditional healers are called "Sangoma" in my country(South Africa). Sangoma is like a Shaman almost. Some might say "witch" or witch doctor. Most Sangomas use plants and animals to practice. But there are a small minority that use humans. I practice witchcraft myself, but we can't whitewash the fact that some people doing spells are evil.

But seriously, outside of work, I dress for comfort and function moreso than fashion or aesthetic, as I am autistic and not all fashionable things are sensory friendly. When I do want to dress in an expressive way, my style sense changes depending on how and what I'm feeling that day.
The one with the witch cave was debunked quite a few years ago; around 2011-2012 by the Syfy show Fact or Faked! They were able to recreate the video almost perfectly with a few wires, strings, and some fabric.
It was one of my favorite shows growing up, so I almost always recognize when a video has been on the show.
I gave the same looks that Hearth did when I first watched this! So many facepalms!
As for the abandoned building
If I walked up to a abandoned house & I saw signs that read "No trespassing", "Stay away"
I'd keep walking , as there could be a reason for the house being a Hazard to other people

I live in amherst.. that "witch's hut" is literally a shelter that ppl build in the woods to drink/party/host a bonfire at, usually in the woods on a college campus. I've seen a LOT of them on the trails LOL!
I still love the "they're wearing black therefore they're witches!" ignoring the fact that many types of people wear black. Including the entire ministerial structures of Christianity. In Christianity black is used as a color of devotion, hence the base priest robes being black.
