    I learned from an old timer, that to keep the temp down, n increase the flavor, chop up some onions, skins n all, n throw a hand full, or two, depending on how hot the fire is, ad to fire right on top. Ad as needed, but the aroma is incredible, even before the meat is on. Some times just sitting around the fire we toss in some onions. People ask what are you cooking it smells so good. Would never steer you wrong, but worth a try. You will be amazed.

    Yes sir, this is awesome. I did a very close cook on my pbj for thanksgiving. I’m not a turkey fan but I enjoyed it better than the ham this year.

    Wow, that is a beautiful video, color was awesome, turkey looked fantastic. I have never smoked a turkey but I have several turkeys that I purchased right after Thanksgiving for around $5.00 each and lots of just turkey breasts, we love turkey and the day after thanksgiving is the best time to buy them for cheap so I have about 20 of them and I will definitely smoke several of them this year. Smoked and Fried turkey are so awesome! Hey thanks for the shout out of Heaven Made Products which are very hard to beat when cooking a turkey or many other foods. Greatly appreciate the video.

      @@AbomAdventures Is there any specific reason why you went with the smaller version? I'm debating on which of the two I want to get. Price point is big deciding factor but if the smaller one is just the same output as the larger version I may just get the cheaper one. Thanks for the feedback brother!

    What are the differences between a conventional side-smoker and this barrel smoker?

    • @AbomAdventures
      @AbomAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The barrel cooker uses a charcoal basket in the bottom and you hang the meat in the center, or set it on the grill grate. It’s distributes heat evenly around the meat all the time. It cooks hotter then a conventional side smoker. Other styles of smokers you can normally fine tune the heat more and easily add more fuel for long low and slow cooks.
