  • Everyone loves Carhartt. You’ve got the hat, the jacket, and maybe the coveralls, so it’s natural to want to deck your truck out with it too. You’ve relied on Carhartt on the job site, but can you rely on it in your vehicle?
And how do these covers compare to TigerTough seat covers?
We’ll take an unbiased approach (no…seriously, we will) in comparing these two seat covers.

Just received mine last weekend and installed them in a hour or so. Seat part fits perfectly however the headrest covers leave sides exposed more than I would expect. Not sure why they're not longer but it's not a deal breaker. Be prepared to wait a month or two on these are vehicle specific so pack your patience!

Ordered for my cat279 skid steer. It’s open cab so be interested how it handles the elements. ;)

Great video. I just purchased a 2011 Jeep Liberty with low miles and looking to protect the cloth seats with something that looks good. Would you have a recommendation on the best seat cover that is easy to install? I do not see one for a Jeep Liberty? Thanks! 5:46

Thanks! Since our focus is on work trucks and heavy equipment, we don't make anything for the Jeep Liberty.
I'd say look for the following things in a seat cover:
      1. Make sure it's tested to allow your in-seat airbags to deploy like they're supposed to.
      2. Get waterproof/water resistant covers so no spills soak through to your seats.
      3. Buy American Made if possible!
Sorry we couldn't hook you up with some.

Very nice fit. Might be better to compare with premium super dux carharrt which is also nylon. The seatsaver model is canvas.

Not all vehicles since 99 have seat airbags, 2000 Jeep Cherokee no seat airbags js.

That's correct, front airbags were mandated starting in the 1999 model year. Seat airbags weren't mandated but a certain level of head & torso protection was. Jeep waited to implement seat airbags longer than most manufacturers, especially with the Wrangler.

Product looks nice, but Carhart and Dickies make seat covers that fit a 2nd Gen Ram. Tiger Tough should start by saying they ONLY have custom seat covers for Newer vehicles. 2010 to 2024 and with an extremely limited selection of models. For example. No universal seat covers to fit the WJ Jeep Cherokee, GMT 400 GM pickups, 2nd Gen Rams, or Nissan D21 Hardbody pickups. Really is a shame. I sent an email and I have had no response from the website, and it says to contact them if your vehicle is older than 2010.

Sounds like you've got some sweet older trucks. :)
While we do make seat covers for some trucks older than 2010, trucks that are 2010 and newer are our specialty (along with heavy equipment).
And we don't make anything universal, everything is custom designed for one specific seat.

That is a shame that Tiger Tough doesn't make anything that will fit my 2000 Ram 1500 QuadCab, or 1994 Nissan D21 King Cab XE. Weather Tech and Husky have done similar with their laser measured floor mats. No coverage for many older vehicles. They do offer universals. It's understandable why Tiger Tough's product line is so limited. It's just impressive that an airbag friendly, and fully adjustable set of seat covers is beyond any company's ability to manufacture. I frequently transfer accessories like mats, and universal seat covers between my vehicles. My interiors are like new, and I clean them all the time. I want to keep them nice and have been looking for a long time to buy high quality seat covers since I use these trucks for work. I prefer to buy American, but Americans betray me by not making products that fit even the domestic brands I own. Guess I have to settle for those strap on weather tech seat covers or another one of your competitor's options. 😑
I feel misled with all the Tiger Tough advertisements using what could be construed as a generic seat in the myriad of commercials I have been inundated with recently.
I hate to have to buy a $70,000 truck just to get Cordura seat covers that are USA made. 😂
Thanks for the reply here though. I will probably have to make my own seat protection out of canvas tarps or something.

@@norzoloco1 Dickies and Carhartt are both "crap" when it comes to car seat covers. That's why I tried to get a tiger Tough seat cover and see how it performs. I have found better covers but they are purpose made for Jeeps and the like. $400 and greater price point.

@@mackjones7688 can you let me know what you ended up going with? While I don't have a Jeep, I'd like to check it out. I've got a 05 Highlander with shot leather and I need design/materials ideas. I'm not liking the slop fit of Carhartt in this video and glad I saw this aspect.
