For those that may not know, brushless electric motors are rated by KV "rpm per volt". The higher the KV rating the faster the motor can spin per volt of input power. A 60 v source will produce more RPM on any given motor KV than a 48 v input. Increasing the amps to these motors provide more torque.

I like the hidden rear lights.. Adjustable on the fly bars and the cruise control option. Zoom seat post is a nice touch. Looking like it's worth the extra $800 - $1,000 over most 750 watt bikes for sure. Even has the switch for turning off motors.

I'm not sure.. If you put a 1,000 watt Bafang front hub on a Kepler I think it would do 40 mph all day. 30 ah 52V on the rear rack and it would be hard to beat. My bike shows 46.5 mph with no load and going down hill before the motor cuts out. So a second 1,000 watt 33-35 amp controller for the front would give it 3,500 plus peak watts and over 200 Nm of torque.

    • @bassw1758
      @bassw1758 ปีที่แล้ว

@@kevinnashskitchen3517 your probably better off with the same 750 that Citizen is using. Seems like every e-bike manufacturer has their own custom wind, but as far as I know Bafang has two different 1000w motors. One says I think it's 06 , the other is the one I have 6.5. the 6.5 only tops out at 29 but it's torque is unparalleled on a mountain bike trail. If you put 2500w to it, it maybe top at 31 or 32. The 06 I know has better top end but I doubt it will hit anywhere near 40. But you can always go in a 5000 w 72 volt direct drive motor.

Shared this video with the wicked/wired group on FB and debating the pros and cons.
I emailed someone Question that I couldn’t find the answer to on their website.
    Do you know…
What is the max payload for this bike?
What amp controller is being used?
What is the max payload for the rack?
    How long is the warranty?
What is the peak wattage for the 750 motors and what brand are they?
How long before the bike ships after purchasing it?

    • @independentmind85

I know the controllers are 17 amps per motor. I emailed them about it.

    • @dalewomble218
      @dalewomble218 ปีที่แล้ว +3

So I got a reply to my email Question and this is what they said.
BTW they seem like really nice folks!
We have riders as heavy as 400 pounds on the road warrior, so we know it can carry the load.
Are racks are custom made and sit on the frame, the can carry over 100 pounds but i will say for safety sake 50 pounds.
The warranties are 1 year but we give at least a 6 month grace period.
Bike ships next day, if you can buy it that means its in stock.
We build our own motors, as you can see they are powerful and quiet, we have been working 3 years for these to be running so well. Everyone keeps asking us about controllers amps but we focus on making better motors that kick ass even with only dual 17amp controllers. They peak over 1200watts but if you see the video we hit 40mph.
Wired uses a Hengtai motor which i am very familiar with, it is powerful, i really like them but they are noisy especially the metal gear ones.
I like the freedom bike but dual motor bikes are just the best ride anyone can ever want, the lag free acceleration is amazing.

i am sure you will love both bikes and i am routing for Wired as a company to succeed as they have the same attitude we posses as Fabulous.

You should compare the wired ebike with the fabulous ebike. Single motor setup is nice for simplicity, less weight and better range. Dual motors use a lot of energy on the battery. 24ah is enough for a single motor setup but for dual motors it needs more ah's. I have a dual motor ebike with a total of 35ah batteries and it sucks the life out of my packs. Would like to see a range test on dual motors only and see what kind of range you get. @@CitizenCycle925 one 17 amp controller just doesn't sound right. Are you sure about that? The single motor model has a 25 amp controller and a 1000 watt motor. I think living here in Florida I would rather have the single motor. It has the same 24ah battery as the dual motor so it has to have a lot better range and we don't have hills to climb where I'm at. I find it hard to believe that bike is that fast with a 17 amp controller. That just proves that volts make the speed and amps make the torque. That's why the bike doesn't spin that much out of the hole. Veeeerdy intedesting, as Sargent Shultz would say, lol. That may give it improved range also. We shall see. I'm really interested in the single motor version but $2500 is a little steep. I think I need to over volt my ripcurrent bafang G060 750 watt motor with a 60 volt battery and see what happens.

    • @mad151maxx4

@CitizenCycle 17amp that can't be right. Ecells is 2-52v750watt motors pushing 2200watts with 45amp controller with 29ahs. The fabulous needs 2-60v40amp controller. And they need to fill that whole battery compartment 60v40ahs minimum.

Replace with 3" wide and 1500 watt gearless hub motor per wheel
Place 2nd 24 amp-hr battery on rear rack.
Now you have a party 😊
Both my BBSHD mid drive bikes with 52v battery will do close to this and seem to accelerate quicker. Could go rogue and go 72v and aftermarket controller and have 50mph speed but the thing to consider when using all those watts to travel high speed which that fat bike consumes in copious amount due to rolling resistance and poor aerodynamics, high watts simply eats through the battery faster.
Plus or minus...this ebike is a truck...it takes about 1200 watts to go 30mph on an ebike. Battery capacity is the achilles heel of all fast ebikes when using big watts.

In my opinion I believe this bike is better than wired freedom for climbing. This is my option only as I own one of these but I don't own a wired freedom. This fabulous bike I have is the emx extreme awd US version and it has no problem going up any hills and I live in a very very steep hilly area. Love this bike!! You wouldn't he disappointed

No, this dual motor Roadwarrior should outclimb the Wired. But if good climb performance is your top priority and you are willing to give up a little top speed then you may want to look at their 20" dual motor bikes. Smaller diameter wheels help hub motors with acceleration and hill climbing.

That is pretty fast, but could ya peddle at that speed? They often on these fast bikes forget that a person may want to actually peddle and not be like a hamster on a wheel. I upgraded my Philodo AWD ebike and I can now stay in the peddles all the way to 35 top speed. I think the bike has the power but they set the limit :(

  • @erpringle

SOOOO, has anyone heard of 'Spoke Failure?' my son and I were riding yesterday afternoon on our local bike trail, when I was riding behind him, he has a regular mountain bike, I have my e bike. He was going slow, about 7-8 miles/hr (12 km/hr) when he stood up to get more power to get up a hill when his front tire just gave out. It looks like he hit a truck at full speed, that's how bent the tire was. We called a cab and it's a good thing I had my tools, we needed to remove the tire to fit it into the taxi. We took it straight back to the store we bought it from, it's still under the 90 days return, so we are going to exchange it for an e bike they have there. They should allow the exchange considering they will get more money after the exchange, they have the bike in the store already, the manager wasn't there yesterday, so we have an appointment this morning to discuss the front tire and the exchange.
