    I randomly scrolling down TH-cam video and i saw yours one. After watching your video i felt your concept is very clear and easy to understand so i personally want you to make more and more videos of this field and requesting you to make some videos of optical part also. Beacuse for optometrist clinical and optical both part is equally important ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍

    In objective science, the accommodation system is "never at rest".

    You explained overcorrection for myopia but what will happen if myopia is under corrected and rays are still focused infront of retina not on retina? Pt still may complain of blurry vision.

    Hi Khurram. What about in high myopes? When overcorrection yields much better visual acuity and increases quality of everyday life activities? Multifocals?

    Hii sirr.
    My question is . If patient is not fogged prior to beginning subjective refraction . ?
    Please give me a answer this question. please sir..

    • @optometrywithkhurram6867
      @optometrywithkhurram6867  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually fogging makes accommodation relax...which is necessary for better result and prescription.
      But if you have better skills and experience then you can go without fogging.
      But I must say that fogging is better to perform.

    Sir very nice
    Respected sir
    As by under-correcting the hyperopia (by exertion of accommodation (AC/A:) pts eye can have convergent squint
    So similarly in case of over-correction of myopia as pts can have asthenopic symptoms due to exertion of accommodation (same as in above case)
    So sir can this patient of myopia have divergent squint ?
    Anything like this👆??

    • @optometrywithkhurram6867
      @optometrywithkhurram6867  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you are right.
      Hyperopes are always prone to convergent and myopes always prone to divergent squint.

    I also agree!
    Maximum plus for reading, when I am at 20/50.
    No minus for distance.
    Result?
    Slowly my refraction changes from 20/50, to 20/20.
    Or from -0.75 Diopters, to +0.25 Diopters, and my eyes are no longer nearsighted.
    Thank you Doctor, for my success!
    If only more young science students would understand the concept.

    made me confused....... what will happen if we undercorrect myopic eye??? if we correct myopic eye with low minus the rays wonnt focus on retina and the image will still be blurr....

    • @optometrywithkhurram6867
      @optometrywithkhurram6867  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As I mentioned in video..under correct doesn't mean we undercorrect it more than 0.50..but just least..like 0.25 or less.
      Because the property of minus concave lens is, its always make object more sharper and clearer when we increase from best corrected prescription,so if we increase 0.25 from best correction then patient will obviously prefer..that's why chances of mistake are always there..that's why we always undercorrect in myopic prescription..

    • @optometrywithkhurram6867
      @optometrywithkhurram6867  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Overcorrection of myopia always induse accommodation.. So thats why we avoid Overcorrection of myopia or for the safe side full correction of myopia...

    Because as i have studied during use of minus lens our eye lens flattens and accomodation is relaxed.

  • @mafia1270
    @mafia1270 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thank you..correct me if im wrong..so this could mean that if you over refract with minus, there is a tendency that the eye will become hyperopic instead of neutralizing it

      But i am practising that maximum plus and minimum minus..but sometimes i also get confused if i will undercorrect or give the full correction to my patients especially to children 4- 12 yrs old..i hope you could also make a lecture regarding refraction on children especially with amblyopia and strabismus..thank you for all the lectures and responding to all my questions

    • @optometrywithkhurram6867
      @optometrywithkhurram6867  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes ..now you get the point..
      We always undercorrect a myope under the fear of being hyperope..
      And if a myope becomes hyperope by overcorrect it, then again he or she will use accommodation,which is not good.
