Hey dude, With the fan and adapter it will only put it forward 2mm, we have had customers use this fan with an aftermarket alloy radiator with no issues also, in terms of fitment!
This video depicts the OEM fan coming out quite easily..... but the car in the demo video has an OEM radiator. Most aftermarket radiators are thicker, and thus make fan removal much more difficult. I just found this out the hard way. It's not impossible, just not as easy as the video makes it seem. That's all.
We have never done back to back tests on the noise but there is an increase in noise. Whether you notice over your exhaust, I'm not so sure. I've personally never been bothered by the noise or particularly noticed it.

On a VG motor does it clear the oem fan shroud?
Yes, provided you are using OEM engine mounts or mounts that do not raise or lower the engine.
I just ordered 2. One for RB25 and one for VG30e.. Do I need the adapters?
