The Lake Hylia theme from this game has to be my favourite Zelda tune, I used to go to Lake Hylia when I played this game, and just walk around and swim, just to listen to the music and take in the all around beauty of that place. Just such a great area!
dude.. seriously, i've watched this over and over, at months apart. and it NEVER fails to bring a tear to my eye, or goosebumps, or shivers. good job. brilliant job.
3:34 Midna made this game for me imo and i'm glad this got covered. From where she begins to the development in the story, this was the first true companion that actually played a role in the story.
8 years later, and still love this, TP will probably stay my favorite loz game of all time and jules, thank you so much for making these awesome covers!!!
I do not often comment, and I don't know if you will ever read that. Still I wanted to tell you that Twilight Princess was a big part of my childhood, one of the game that will be my favorite forever. And imo, you totally knew how to keep the atmosphere of the songs, while still "metalizing" them. So for that, I owe you huge thanks! Really made my day listening to your work.
@777missdiabla777 Since I've done a good deal of these, I've gotten pretty fast at it. It usually takes me a day to learn, arrange and practice all of the songs I want to do in a medley. The thing that takes the most time, is recording it as perfect as possible. I'm far from perfect but I always thrive to get as close as I can. I try not to over think the arrangement of it.
@imsacred Thanks for the criticism and not being an asshole about it. I really appreciate it. The clips from the game is something new and something I'm experimenting with so I know it was far from perfect. Also, I thrive on sometimes harsh transitions like the one in Ordon Village. I've always believed music is alive and that it shouldn't be predictable or always easy to hear. Thanks again though. :)
I'm gonna say man Usually I glance over over these medleys and don't much care for them but Man you had so much power and emotion in this Medley That you have actually inspired me as a musician to further better myself to be as great as you are. You are Great and will no doubt do great things with your talents! Keep it up!
@EggplantOfTime Eh, Soundcloud didn't really go as I had planned. Plus I have it like filled up and don't really want to pay money to get more space. I'll probably keep everything else up there though.
That's silly. I mean I understand completely, I taught myself guitar a few months ago and am so bad in front of people or cameras. But answer me this: did you (originally) aim to learn guitar for personal gain or because you felt that talent and passion burning up inside, wanting to be set free?
I had a feeling. That's how so many people start out. Not necessarily a terrible thing though, because like you said, we grow up. We learn from the silly, childlike invincibility dreams that you don't just pick up a guitar and learn everything the moment you want, regardless how strong your ambition.
***** Well, some Zelda Soundtracks are very easy to play (like Hidden Village) some are fucking hard, i play acoustic for 1 Year and E-Guitar for 6 Months now, i can play the Hidden Village.
Some parts of this makes me think of vacation next to a lake on a warm summer day with a constant cool breeze with a glass of lemonade in one hand, and a smile on my face. You've got talent, and it shows.
Dallas Smith And on just about every single cover of the song. Besides, the name Midna's Lament compliments the song way better than Midna's Desperate Hour. It's also known as Midna's Desperation. So when a song has 3 different names it makes it hard to determine what the actual name is, I think we are all correct.
Out of curiosity, what was your favorite? TP was my favorite, but I think that OOT might be "the best" Zelda game just because of the nostalgia factor.
Cameron Reyno For me, it's LttP. That game is simply genius, in all departments. This is my second, followed closely by Ocarina of Time, though in certain departments, OoT edges ahead. This game did improve on some aspects, even if they went a bit far on the whole brown filter thing.
Before Twilight Princess the only legend of Zelda games I got to play we're Oracle of Ages and Seasons. So Twilight Princess has ended up as my all time favorite even as I go back to play all the others.
I like how he doesn't jump straight into the heavy stuff and implmented more of the melodic elements into this one, especially on the Desperate Hour section (which was my personal favorite). A real CHAMP eargasm to start the new year off. XD
@@RabblesTheBinx I think it is. Believe it or not, the 3D entries borrowed A LOT from Link to the Past - Master Sword, music, general mechanics. They can easily be compared. Direction you see from doesn't change anything. They're also all interconnected in the timeline.
I really respected what you said in the description. It's nice to see someone that finally is giving Twilight Princess the love it deserves. I mean all Zelda games are amazing, but Twilight Princess always seems to be one that people didn't like as much. It's in my top 3 personally, it's the most mature of the games in the series, hidden abilities, Midna and graphics were awesome. Nothing but respect for ya man!
***** It's obviuous that this was made a lot more faster compared to the HD edition of Wind Waker... I'm just glad that this version has colours, compared to the Wii Version
I remember when junior year at high school just began, and this song helped me to relax while I was adjusting to the AP classes... hard to believe that was a whole school year ago.
Avenged Sevenfold poster... Avenged Sevenfold poster everywhere :) and my favourite Zelda game I never play and it just fuck up great job +1 subscribers foREVer
Fucking nostalgia much... Hidden Village is my shit, I used to save before I got there then just stand by the entrance and hide from the Bulblins whilst I listened to the music, drove my mum batshit though xD
Me too! Got the game with my Wii back in 2006 and completed it around two years later when I was ten years old! I loved the Hidden Village as well but I gave up for months at the Palace of Twilight because those wallmasters scared me so much!
***** I always managed to get stuck on the first temple of any Zelda game I ever played. Even the fucking Deku tree in Ocarina. Must have had about 60 hours play time before I managed to beat the fucking forest temple on TP, pissed me off so much.
@batj03l It's not about practicing more, it's how you're practicing. Make sure you're disciplining yourself enough to crack down on playing cleanly and properly. The biggest mistake people make is that they don't practice correctly. Make sure your working on scales, improv, songs and don't just practice the same thing for weeks. Hope that helps. :)
@AndersonWave17 I would check your speakers. I purposefully turned up the bass in this one. Not to sound narcissistic by any means, I mean, I'm just saying. The bass is sometimes over powering, like in Lake Hylia. I mean, is it just me? Anyone else experience this?
The cuts to the game worked pretty well, you did a good job not abusing them, I personally think it might even work to have them more often in the video. Nice touch.
FAWK YEAH YOUR BACK!!!!!! today is my dad's bday and he is subbed to you as well haha, thank you for giving him an awesome bday gift :) I LOVE YOU!!! MY TUESDAYS AND THUNDERDAYS ARE COMPLETE NOW!!!
What way to start! It encompasses the sense of wonder and amazement the player gets from the game. I think incorporating game footage (sparingly) is a nice touch. You have a sense of timing/pacing that allows you to pick the proper moment to do so.
Thank you gods of music for giving us jules back! The tie inn between midnas theme and desperate hour was PERFECT! i know your next song will be awesome as well!!
The whole thing was amazing, but the hidden village was the best thing ever, i've been waiting for someone to cover it for ages now, and that was perfect
That was beautiful. It gave me chills, its good to know that all my favorite music that nintendo makes can be turned into something greater! Thanks for this awesome Medley :D
Twilight Princess is not the best Zelda game out there, but it really doesn't get nearly as much credit as it DOES deserve. Kudos to you, sir, for throwing it a bone with this awesome little medley.
God.... dude. I just watched all of these Zelda guitar covers and I am in love with every one of them. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING MY NIGHT AMAZING!!!!!
Hey, I have that shirt too! So glad to have you back! I was definitely missing this from my life. I like how you edited in little clips from the game too, a nice addition.

Midna's Lament always gives me chills...especially when he went full on metal
If you say Twilight Princess didn't have good music, then there's something wrong with you.
Translation- "If you dont like something that I do, you are wrong!"
Stop letting your nostalgia blind you.
Kalificus
But it is true, Twilight Princess did have some great music. If you don't like it then that's okay :)

Not only that, the game is literally named after her because of how important she is, i can't even consider her a companion
The transition from Midna's Lament to Lake Hylia is one of the best I have ever heard.
8 years later, and still love this, TP will probably stay my favorite loz game of all time and jules, thank you so much for making these awesome covers!!!

Twilight Princess my favorite #1 game ever forever
It was for me for a long time. It was passed up by Devil May Cry 3 just last year
always will be mine as well.... most heasrt wrenching even

I missed that awesome feeling of seeing your videos appear out of the blue. Hope your return is well received FamilyJules!
Very beautiful
Hidden Village was my favorite
I don't know... The beginning definitely gives it a run for its money.
Ah true
@RVittorini I do, kid's been busy. He'll have some stuff out eventually though.
0:55 would you like to teleport to the water temple?
@4blackout Impossible to answer, both are perfect in their own way.
This is still one of my favourites of yours. Such a great track :)
midna's lamet 4:11 the best start of the song ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been revisiting this video for years. So absolutely fucking awesome.
@DSCAccount I hit the note one octave lower with a harmonic. I've never seen it done like that, but it works. :)
that ordon village
Start of video: Laying down
*1:49** yeets self into the center of the room and starts dancing*
Great Job!! Love it!!
Great job dude!! Midna's desperate hour was killer!
It's actually called Midna's Lament. But your heart is in the right place! Rock on dude!
MistahWiddlyWah Actually it's called Midna's Desperate Hour in Twilight Princess. It's only know as Midna's Lament in Super Smash Bros.
