I don't even acknowledge the Doctors who came after at this point. That's how over this dogshit I am. That's my line in the sand. That's my line of demarcation.

"First gay kiss" nope. It's pathetic. They're desperate to be better than what came before but they lack the skill
And Torchwood obviously doesn't count either. Entire spin-off where Jack ends up in a gay relationship but I guess that one was for adults. I mean Brooklyn Nine-Nine had a gay main character for years and frequent romantic interactions between him and his husband. Just yesterday watched an episode where they kissed in the rain. The biggest problem most people have is that the Doctor isn't supposed to care romantically given they're 2000+ years old. They had a wife and child at one point (Smith-11 mentioned having a son) and then moved on to being the rogue that didn't follow the rules.
AND RTD WROTE THAT ORIGINAL SHOW! How could he forget? Actually, it's the journos who are getting in wrong, but I'm willing to bet RTD won't correct them.
They never expected the fact check system to be used on them. But you build a system to use against your enemies, and they quickly learn to use it back. Lol Cpt Jack Harkness was cool. No one cared what his orientation was because he was cool. .
In his original run RTD had people (e.g. producers, writers, etc) curtailing some of his extreme ideas. He said this in one of the Doctor Who Confidentials. This is what happens when you give RTD full control and no supervision.
Robin Williams was a great actor when he was muzzled in a movie. When he wasn't, he was "Robin Williams The Comedian" when the character certainly was not. He needed a leash. Same for RTD.
Even if they're trying to spin it by claiming this kiss is different because it's more romantic or whatever it still doesn't sound like Doctor Who because when it comes to The Doctor and romance it takes a long time to develop if at all so for this to happen all at once in one episode only proves that they care only about check boxes and getting attention.

Even a same sex relationships wouldn't be the first, confirmed for _any_ Time Lord. Both Tennant's and Smith's Doctors have made passing mentions towards this. We were okay when gender swapping Time Lord's were confirmed in The Doctor's Wife. It was a little weird, but hey. They're aliens, so we let it slide. How I wish we didn't. That was the catalyst for Jodie's Doctor and the beginning of the end.
As a basic idea, it was perfectly good and still is. And to be fair, I don't think they really needed any prior catalyst. It seems to me that the first problem was getting worse writing for the show, and that they leaned a little hard into the idea that a female Doctor would organically lead into interesting new takes. It wouldn't, due to the lack of anything especially sex-linked about the Doctor in the first place, didn't, and because the writing was already worse things deteriorated from there.
You're surprised? Every June, Disney acts like they invented the concept of homosexuality. Every gay character in one of their movies or shows is "THE FIRST ONE EVER!" and "HISTORIC AND GROUNDBREAKING!". It's the same shit every time, they're just applying it to Dr. Who now.
A friend of mine texted me yesterday and she said yeah she was finally done. Doctor Who used to be something we both used to watch, but the poor writing and the pushing of diversity over good writing. I'm over it and I have moved on.
This is what you get when people who used to write self-insert fanfictions for freaking everything when they were younger don't get laughed at and ridiculed enough.
Yes they can have it all. I'm certainly not mad. But we won't be fooled again! I sense that slowly the realization that we are on to the old tactics and propaganda dawns in the minds of those who took certain things as granted. You know, as in 'entitlement" to people, audiences, consumers, wealth. No such thing.
And at least that episode had an interesting premise, tried to write around the filming schedule of the leads, and the monster was designed by a child fan of the show, the latter serving to prove that the show could recapture a young audience again after so long without built-in nostalgia.
I was thinking a few days ago he could totally pull off a retcon of this madness. If only the execs could get him and allow a writer who writes good stories back in the writing room, the show would be saved.
Oh yeah why DID they keep the timeless children, i've only watched a review here and there about new who but none of them mention that plotline, so they legit only left it in to "stick it to the haters"? thats wild
The past doesn't exist for these psychos. Mix that with having the memory span of a goldfish and absolutely everything they do is the first time. If Doctor Who is around again next year and they have another episode with a gay kiss, they'll probably run these exact same headlines again.
RTD developed a show after leaving Dr. Who about the AIDS crisis in the 80’s. He got so much praise from the community, that he doesn’t want to do anything that isn’t gay, now. 😢
Research is important, especially when working on existing properties. Even I was surprised about the overworld Ability effects when I played Pokémon SwSh, despite being a thing since Emerald. So good when the notes happen.
If the modern day Disney corporation could be condensed down to a single avatar ... Disney would look like Herbert from classic Family Guy! They are totally perving on kids using their IPs ... while hiding behind LGBT as cover.
Yeah the lack of stakes hurts the show. Even when they broke the rules the first time there was a explanation he got a second set of lives by a fluke stakes were there.
Jack, cupping the 9th Doctor’s face kissed him in his moment of brave uncertainty of ultimate sacrifice, the kiss being unreciprocated but accepted. Gatwa DW had the hots for a bounty hunter, gyrated & indulged a kiss of deep desired passion. The late gay “No hanky-Panky in the TARDIS.” DW producer of the 80s John Nathan-Turner must be spinning in his grave.
Also, I love that he kisses a bounty hunter.....you know, one that kills targets......you know, actually murders people for personal gain.....you know, the one thing the doctor really hates
You know it is an insult to fanfiction writers to compare the laziness of these employed writers to them. Some fanfic's out there are by far ten times superior to the junk that is being put out by the companies! Perhaps? Disney should have stopped trying to sit on their "laurels" and gone outsourcing more and sought out more talent like said writers! I mean there is lots and lots of talent out there!! So why? Why did Disney just decide it was okay to buy everything, buy the "farm" but not feed the cow? Nor go out and find better "feed" for the chickens!? Clearly alot of people cared? I'm sure some devoted fan to the lore that also likes to write, maybe even is working on obtaining and acutal writers degree, could have done better! Maybe if Disney had cared to hire more people who enjoy creating and working on true art, things would be different! I mean again, some fanfictions are fifty some chapters long but hey!? There are actually pretty good reads!
I coulnd't get into Torchwood. Harkness' sexuality had nothing to do with it; I just felt that it was just a lame attempt at making Doctor Who more adult, and just never felt invested.
They often have this issue with their attempts to 'break new ground'. Like how Ripley in aliens isn't a thing. Especially in british (comedy) television we've had so many effeminate characters... I guess you need to forget the past to appreciate modern writing...
None of these people know anything about the IPs they have taken over. They are not fans. This is just the feminist "first strong independent women in an action film" thing all over again. It's all lies, and it's just about jacking their egos off.
If I could add something, when you talk about the doctor not feeling the doctor I think you mean he isn’t being heroic. The doctor feels like he has no gravitas or heroism this season and that’s the one thing every doctor has, every single doctor is a hero!
The Doctor even got Capt. Jack Harkness together with Midshipman Frame. Edit: It was implied in "The Doctor's Wife" that The Doctor and The Corsair shared a wild time or two.
Negate everything that happens before you, then lie about being the first to break the ground that interests you. This isn't about Doctor Who; it never has been. It's about a handful of people whose sole drive is their narcissistic needs.
Worse yet, it's about destroying legacies so that these idiots can claim they were the "first" to do, Repeat the process until people forgot what came first. A tactic used by communists.
The "gay kisses" from previous episodes weren't "romantic," though. It was just the Doctor being the Doctor, or someone kissing him randomly. Now it's deliberate gayness, and we're expected to celebrate it. No.
There's nothing to watch until they retcon the Timeless Children out of existence entirely and affirmatively restore the Doctor's real backstory. It's non-negotiable.
The best Classic Doctor Who still holds up decades later, Nu Who ages like milk with every incarnation. I watched The Image of The Fendahl last night, still a well acted and directed Sci.fi/horror adventure that partly delved into Gallifreyan lore by establishing that the Fendahl is a creature from their Mythology that is absolutely terrifying to any Gallifreyan. A great supporting cast that fleshes out the story but never takes the focus off of it. One of my personal favorite stories
guess what, no one complained about Jack and the Doctor's kiss. People love Jack as a character despite his sexuality. It is not hard to have a character like this and not be in the audience's face calling them a bigot for no reason.

It's kind of like claiming to be a fan of Metallica, but then trying to force them to do rap and hip hop tracks to be more 'inclusive' and appeal to a new 'modern audience'.
me thinking of Jack, as an openly bi man it wasnt shoved into our faces.. Like the media wants to think anything before 2016 doesnt exist... "we didnt have a female lead" lara croft, ripley, etc. Also Jack kissed the male doc.. Jack also kissed the old man in jodie's time. Not to mention all the aliens, and the terrible ending to the 3 episode special.. "the doc never took a moment to relax." The special where matt smith sat in the christmas town for like 100 years... and got the time rip for an extra 13 which got retcon'ed... and then after clara we had capoldies doctor teach for about 50 years at the univeristy... while watching a cell with missy... Or River songs final "night" at the singing towers.. which was 23 years.
Captain Jack would like a word
edit: Battle Armor He-man 🤣🤣
I think Captain Jack would like a night, and a room, and perhaps some...
Does anyone even care if gay people kiss at this point? We are bombarded with alphabet stuff every day who cares at this point.
i think they just shake hands
exactly who cares even if it was the first time, this is why people are getting way tired of the self-obsessed cult.
I don't care if they do, as long as they do it somewhere ELSE than Doctor Who.

No cared if gay people kissed to begin with, mainly because MOST people don't actually want to see that. This is just the LGBT trying to shove their lifestyle into everyone's faces to try and force acceptance.
The big difference is that The Doctor has never been flirty or tried to pick up strangers… Captain Jack would flirt with any one with a pulse but that was Captain Jack.. that was never The Doctor…
Fanatics gonna fanatic. That's why the MESSAGE is more important than good characters, writing, etc.
It's Hivemind BS. They want everyone to be NPCs who mindlessly love everything they do no matter how bad it is.
I never wanted to see the Doctor kiss ANYONE.
Except mayhaps Rose...

Nope ---- He was/is a VERY OLD man and she was a Foetus.
Why shouldn’t the good Doctor be shown in such a manner? It simply gives another aspect to his character, in a human sort of way. Such affection is a GOOD thing.
I'm on OG. An original gay. I'm "That's uncle Terry, he's a little eccentric" gay. I'm Brandy Alexander's on Fire Island gay. I'm bachelors of arts with a major in musical theatre at Eastman gay. My gay credentials are stunning, I know. I say all this cause I need you all to know that this show is too gay for me.
The vibe I'm getting is that you thought you would never have a reason to type that last sentence. It's almost like an an aftershave: Bewilderment, by Dior.
@@garrettgriffin4974 😆 that's good
Media today look at the 90s early 00s super flamboyant gay friend of the main character and go “hold my beer, I can make it worse”
Yeah, you know, that's one of the reasons why I can't even bring myself to watch this show, it doesn't even do right by the very souls it's supposed to be championing. I mean that's almost the most painful part. It's a diservice in so many ways!
@@yrevra2407 doctor who died with the 12th doctor… and even towards his end the show had become what it is now, like when they resorted to petty gender jabs after saying 1 season prior the time lords were beyond such things… or the slap in the face to William Hartnell with that Christmas special portraying him NOT as he was as the first doctor but how these people imagine he was because he was old and white
These idiots think they’re the first ever to break glass ceilings but it’s just a hollow roof they’re scraping at the shards hoping to make some impact.
Disney totally destroyed Doctor Who. Wokeness destroyed everything
As the 45 president (like him or hate him) once said: "Everything Woke turns to shit.."
@@AISlopTheatre BBC killed it. Disney desecrated the corpse.
Disney ruins everything it touches. Dude did a great X-Men cartoon, and they fired him for it.

Disney is more akin to a necromancer than the entertainment, family-friendly company they used to be.
Something something evil only knows how to corrupt good things something something
the doctor got gay a while ago remeber Billy she was a gay , half her character hinged on her finding a way to explain how gay shewas each episode.
I remember that. In the end, her very survival depended on her gayness. I'm not even joking about that.
she moaned about racism while being racist in the next episode
Wait, Bill was gay? Holy sh*t. I just thought she was fashion challenged.
Doctor Who officially started dying at the time Bill started with their liberal theme of the week and Bill reminding us she’s a lesbian 3 times an episode.

All this pandering for Pride Month is going to hurt this IP long term.
Long term, they have taxpayers to underwrite the show.
It doesn't need viewers; from the pov of the government, it's basically a jobs program.
Too late
@@funkydiscogod It's not directly made by the BBC. When the Disney money dries up I don't think the BBC is going to be willing to foot the whole bill and Bad Wolf Ltd will be left with no customer for an expensive and unpopular product. Boo hoo, how sad, never mind.
It already has.
My Doctor is the original Doctor from 1963 to 1966, played by William Hartnell, from An Unearthly Child to The Tenth Planet.
I don't even acknowledge the Doctors who came after at this point.
That's how over this dogshit I am.
That's my line in the sand.
That's my line of demarcation.
@@funkydiscogod Fairly sure the TV License is getting tossed in the next few years, so there goes the tax dollars.
Reminds me of star trek discovery. They were desperate to be the first to do anything in star trek. "First minority captain" nope. "First female captain" nope. "First trans character" nope.
Disney and the homosexuals can have Doctor Who I'm too busy touching grass
to paraphrase a 70's comedian named Nipsey Russell, "They said it wasn't made for me anymore, and I believe 'em."
"Disney and The Homosexuals" sounds like a dirty Snow White parody. 😂
Wait, have they seriously not watched the show they're continuing?
They didn't with Star Trek or Star Wars, so why start here?
To me the show died when Capaldi left and a little during Smiths run
Even if they're trying to spin it by claiming this kiss is different because it's more romantic or whatever it still doesn't sound like Doctor Who because when it comes to The Doctor and romance it takes a long time to develop if at all so for this to happen all at once in one episode only proves that they care only about check boxes and getting attention.
The "I made this" meme is relevant here
For a moment I thought the meme was gonna be some child holding up their terrible drawing and waiting for you to praise them.
it's the end of the series as we know it and I feel fine
6:33 I like that the article says "a passion kiss". Not to be confused with a passionATE kiss, which is a completely different kiss.
The lack of journalistic integrity is becoming more and more evident, and it's nice to see even normies calling it out.
Captain Jack?
Now there was a gay/bi/pan character done right in my opinion.
Fun, heroic and his sexuality was a part of him, but not the only part of his personality.
He was one of my favourite side characters with his banter and attitude.
Captain Jack for God's sake! 😂 season 1!
It was in Season 3. Jack is kissing Tennant's 10th Doctor, not Eccleston's 9th.
Just clarifying, not trying to ACKSHULLY you.
@@MartyrPandaGaming no thats fine but Jack kissed the Doctor and Rose as he was going to his first death by the Daleks. Later in the episode Rose looks into the Tardis then comes back to rescue the Doctor and is so powerful she raises Jack from the dead unknowingly and they accidentally leave him. Then the Doctor saves her but it makes him have to regenerate and turn into David Tenet! Which is the only reason I remember such detail! Lol!
Madame vastra and jenny in deep breathe that was an alledged lesbian kiss its almost like people have forgotten
They don't watch the show. If they don't know what they are writing about then why would I bother reading their trash?
"Davies used to be able to write!!! What the h3ll happened?!!!" (6:45) -- Geeky Sparkles. Perhaps Davies became infected with a severe case of activism and became an ideologue. I truly believe that TDS is a real phenomenon where those afflicted lose rationality.
Dr. pander, pander harder, we still aren't watching.
The only hope is that even though RTD didn't walk back The Timeless Child, a future showrunner *might*...if the show lasts long enough.
Who now.
Like modern Star Trek claiming to break glass ceilings when they really didn’t.
Soon as I read that title I was like "Wait I KNOW I've seen Jack kiss dudes on this show before."
A friend of mine texted me yesterday and she said yeah she was finally done. Doctor Who used to be something we both used to watch, but the poor writing and the pushing of diversity over good writing. I'm over it and I have moved on.
Started checking out of Doctor Who with the robin hood episode's writing and haven;t tried to see an episode since they wrapped up River's storyline.
This is what you get when people who used to write self-insert fanfictions for freaking everything when they were younger don't get laughed at and ridiculed enough.
They can write their shit on Ao3, but they really shouldn't be hired for the shows they obsess over.
"that encounter lacked sexual charge" so is being gay a purely sexual thing now? very progressive guys
DEI casting and writing = DEI results. Every. Single. Time.
Division, Exclusion, and Intolerance.
Remember when "Love and Monsters" was New Who most cringiest episode? Those were good times
And at least that episode had an interesting premise, tried to write around the filming schedule of the leads, and the monster was designed by a child fan of the show, the latter serving to prove that the show could recapture a young audience again after so long without built-in nostalgia.
I don't think I've ever seen a franchise browbeat an audience into existence so good luck to this burning heap.
Dr Who is part of Disney now, so I guess it’s part of the Pandeverse!? Tbf, I think it was already…but joining Disney just confirms it!
Rowan Atkinson was more The Doctor than Jodie or Ncuti
The Doctor: "Say hello to the sofa of reasonable comfort"
I was thinking a few days ago he could totally pull off a retcon of this madness. If only the execs could get him and allow a writer who writes good stories back in the writing room, the show would be saved.
Wouldn't have expected it, but yeah, I can see it. The guy who played Mr Bean, right?
There's a great meme on the internet machine that reads "Disney did a better job with diversity when they weren't even trying" How true that is
Clownfish TV, great job on this video
Oh yeah why DID they keep the timeless children, i've only watched a review here and there about new who but none of them mention that plotline, so they legit only left it in to "stick it to the haters"? thats wild
The past doesn't exist for these psychos. Mix that with having the memory span of a goldfish and absolutely everything they do is the first time. If Doctor Who is around again next year and they have another episode with a gay kiss, they'll probably run these exact same headlines again.
Captain Jack was and I quote "Omnisexual"
Rip Doctor Who. From 1963 to 2017
RTD developed a show after leaving Dr. Who about the AIDS crisis in the 80’s. He got so much praise from the community, that he doesn’t want to do anything that isn’t gay, now. 😢
I don't even recognize this show anymore...
What about Harrison Chase from "Seeds of Doom"...he was obviously gay. This was back in 1976.
he was florasexual. 🌹
It's not that it's "Fan Fiction"... it's that its BAD fan fiction!!!
Fr, I've seen fanfiction better than this and I've only read, like,... eight fanfictions in my life?
I'm sorry ya'll, I was mowing the grass, what did I miss?
Nothing.
The doctor has depth, mystery, etc. This current doctor has one personality, I'm gay.
Fabulous...
I'm so glad I checked out when Capaldi's Doctor finally returned home.
Amazing how we never had as much "firsts" than in the last 10 years. How long do they want to keep this circle jerk going?
Yeah the lack of stakes hurts the show. Even when they broke the rules the first time there was a explanation he got a second set of lives by a fluke stakes were there.
Matt Smith also kisses Rory in “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship”
Hollywood shills gonna shill. These guys are just embarrassing.
The only gay kiss the doctor should be doing...... The master as Missy.
Captain Jack kissed the doctor... The doctor didn't kiss Jack.
Torchwood was amazing and yes, there was a same sex relationship. But the writing and story made it worth watching.
Its even the same show runner!!
First 2 seasons of Torchwood was, curiously enough, led by Chris Chibnall. RTD was lead for Children of Earth and Miracle Day
It was just there and didn't feel forced. And it certainly didn't feel like it was the main plot.
They keep trying to win fights that are already over. I think it's fair to wonder why.
I think in one of the books the Corsair had a female regeneration as well
Nothing ever happened before now, everything's the first time for them.
It's Nurse What not Doctor Who.
No.
I like the part where woke Doctor Who sings the classic song "I Glued My Balls to My Butthole Again."
"The Doctor can't die" idk about that. Seems pretty dead to me.
Disney really is trying to make it "This is totally the first time this has happened!" for everything.
A gay kiss 💋 😘 on Dr. Who?...
Cue Beethoven: ..."🎶 🎵 Nobody Cares!!....Nobody Cares!! 🎶 🎵 🎶" 😂
Dang. Lol. Real time headline update. 😂
guess what, no one complained about Jack and the Doctor's kiss. People love Jack as a character despite his sexuality. It is not hard to have a character like this and not be in the audience's face calling them a bigot for no reason.
