I do love the no physical control knobs, I own the 2024 Atlas since July 2023 and got used to already having no control knobs, it super smart as far as your climate preference once you and your partner like to set it to. The only thing I have not figured out is where to turn the radio off on the info-screen, the way I'm been doing it is by the voice control "VW turn the radio off". overall I Loved this car 100%
Definitely agree, I prefer physical buttons for the climate controls, stereo volume and tuning knob, as well as a normal gear shifter you can feel and hear.
It’s not an issue. You should set it and it should work in automatic mode. The preference to have physical controls looks like you came from low trims of cheap cars with air conditioners. Climate controls should do all the work for you. Exactly the same you do have on your smartphone.. I guess you are not on the qwert side ????
I actually just traded in my 22 Atlas for a 24. Really loving all the updates and it is a great ride. I opted for the Comfortline which is what we call the SE in Canada and honestly it has enough bells and whistles for me. Great job on the review!
You could also roll up the windows if you forgot to roll them up by just holding down the button on the driver side handle for 5 secs it will roll up all the windows and close sunroof
I bought exactly the same car with beige interior and panoramic sunroof, i lika VW Atlas 2024 how they upgrated intrerior and extrior from previous 2023 model, very big diffrent . Everything gorgeous but i don't like touch climate control, sound volume touch and on/off radio and screen , i would prefer physical buttons .
👍🏻👍🏻 nobody seams to like climate controls in the infotainment. Nobody likes glossy black plastic. But here we are. It is getting hard to remember what the inside of a car looked like B4 smudge reflectors.
Lol literally. Piano black is very hard to keep clean. I hate the climate stuff on the screen. You have to hit like 3 different controls before you can do something. Plus its more distracting when driving... These companies should learn from Cadillac. They went back to physical controls because people hated going through the screen
I went and looked at the atlas this week. Absolutely fell in love with it. Then I was shown the info touch screen only and no buttons for volume or climate. Disappointed to say the least. Walked out of dealership. Back to square one. Would have signed that day if not for the lack of physical controls. What are they thinking?
Why does everyone cry about not having climate control buttons. Especially you young people. Touch screen and touch actuation is the future. Knobs are yesterday. What difference does it make if you turn on your AC with a know or a touch button. 🙄
It usually happens because people who wrote these comments usually came from low trims of cheap cars and do not know the difference between automatic climate control and air conditioners. I came from Europe where every car mostly had automatic climate control from 2008-2013 years and here in the US air conditioners with analog nobs are outdated but still exist in 2019-2023. Tesla provides autopilot but Americans just started to enjoy auto parking options which have existed in Europe for at least for decade. So different preferences.. The US market more conservative and shifted to areas that no one could understand. Especially if we take in consideration our smartphones..
who cares about the quickness and power of this thing man? talk about how quiet it is, how comfortable it is etc. thats what these buyers want to know.. all you are doing it checking speed. wtf
I'm thinking of buy the 24' Volkswagen Atlas.

You turn it off with the on/off button 🤷🏼♂️ right next to the driver climate temp control button
I just bought the same model and I freaking love this car!!

I don't get why so many manufactures are putting the climate controls on screen. I hate it

Yes physical buttons for climate etc need to be back.
This vehicle is amazing! Worth the bucks
Thanks, I'm looking to buy one. This helped confirm the purchase
Awesome job with my dream new SUV bro.
Thank you!
YES bring back climate control buttons and GEAR shifters! I just bought this exact Atlas all the way down to the color and Black wheels
You could also roll up the windows if you forgot to roll them up by just holding down the button on the driver side handle for 5 secs it will roll up all the windows and close sunroof
Great video, lots of details. Thanks for a great presentation. How does the auto-hold brake works?

Yes the throttle response is really good. I had a 2023 bronco with v6 turbo and the throttle response was horrible
Which bronco did you have?
You could also kick under the back of the truck to handfree open the tail gate
I wanted to go from the Tiguan to the atlas this year. Lack of physical knobs means I will be getting something else like a Telluride.
Enjoy blowing your engine
PHYSICAL BUTTONS! It's a safer option as well
Another car that isn't available in Europe : -( Great review as always. Greetings

Hey there, can u do review on 2023 Chevy Savannah Express Van? Thanks.
I can try. I don't come across too many of those on dealer lots though
7 Pin is pretty standard. 4 pin does not have brake control
Let's get back to physicals!!!!
I think Volkswagen is the next Lincoln.
Why do you say that?
@@703Speed because of the SE Tech Package where you get features like cooled seats and heated stirring wheel.
The steering and other drive characteristics Change in sport mode.
How much is it.

Less steps with the physical controls

@@mikepj1025 It has the physical button on the steering wheel and the panel (none physical) but is dedicated to volume control.
Because if the screen stops working you lose a ton of internal functionality?
Not sure what they were thinking with the brown wood accent. Clashes
You don't need any climate control physically buttons in a case we are talking about real climate control NOT air conditioner.
How is the reliability if the Atlas. Volkswagen is at the bottom of JD power rankings.

Not having physical climate control buttons could be a detriment.
Lets get physical lol. Yes Bring Back the physical climate control buttons.
Vw doesn't make them in blue. Bland color choices
VW does make a blue atlas.
@@KandisPowers old atlas
One VW Product, more specifically AUDI is one too many!
Did you have a bad experience?
That video didnt help at all, he didnt show any of the options just ran through real uick...Waste
