Well.. I'm assuming you didn't kill off your entire ground army and scvs in order to get 200 supplies into BCs right? That some next level of psyco stuff right there, lol :)
@anthony-ky7wh oh wow. Tip of the hat to you, good sir. I stand corrected. Was it a viable strategy? I mean.. it was for Marc, but that guy would probably be able to reach grandmaster level with only scvs haha
Challenge idea: Contamination Focus on making mass Overseers to Contaminate your opponent. Supplement with other zerg units for defence and support for the Overseers. Utilize the fact Overseers are free of supply and you can have whole carpet of them. In the spirit of "contamination", consider spreading Creep in your opponent's base and potential expansion areas (eg using Overlords, Queen drops, etc) Contaminate sounds like a fun ability that have huge potential if done ad nauseam, but I've seen it being used perhaps only once or twice...
Funny enough since only zerg buildings survive on creep. This strat would work. The only problem is vision is easy to get as is air defense. And this doesn't work ZvZ so it's a bit hard to practice. Would love to see it happen though
Want to really impress me? 200 supply corruptors that melt every building before they can be killed. Could still have some workers with the spore crawler trick. Loved this, keep up the fine work!
TvP mech is so tough in LotV, but it's my favorite MU - thank you uThermal for showing how to play a fun turtle mech style centering around BC as the core unit!!
Everyone is sharing kid SC1 stories. So here's mine. I used to do 4v4s and would tell them to give me time to mass wraiths (since BCs were a bit too slow and expensive to achieve what im about to say). Since SC1 didn't have large control groups, it was annoying to manage multiple groups as a dumb kid. So instead, I would patrol one in my base, make them all follow him so they clustered together. Then, when maxed out, I'd send him in with them following. He would die first, and they would all spread out at once and destroy the whole area where I unleashed them. And since they were all coming in at exactly the same time together, it was hard for opponents to counter it since they also couldn't have one large control group.
People actually use these strats on the ladder. I've lost to them MANY times. They basically just turtle on a somewhat low worker count, and eventually max out on an ENORMOUS amount of mass voids, or mass BCs, or hell even mass reapers on max upgrades. If you let it take you by surprise, it's just GG because you'll never have enough units to kill their insane deathball. Only way to beat it is outmacro them and keep forcing trades even if they're unfavorable trades.
I believe he's talking about how Widow Mines now gives a "Your forces are under attack/workers are under attack" alert when the mines burrow in view (as opposed to giving the alert after everything you own has already exploded)
thats how i used to play every game... turtle start, bunker push, expand, small air, mass bc, eventually delete everything to make more bc, only play with what i need to defend, then slowly start taking bases, but never show the whole fleet so they think they have a chance, always just barely what is needed to win.
In my mind sounds"The Imperial March" when you complete the comp and atack, he havent a chance vs that ammount of air supply army with no storms, bad move make archons, 20 HT and you fail sure, amazing game anyway

I feel like you weren't using yamato much at all until the very end.. maybe on purpose? Also i think building armor and turret range are good upgrades for this build especially since you have fewer defensive units at the point when these upgrades aren't that expensive nor using upgrade cooldowns/timers that you want (armory)

A mix of Tempests and Void Rays maybe? Carriers aren't any good here, even if they live. BC armor blocks most of the interceptors' damage. Zerg can substantially outnumber BCs with tough Corruptors.
