By the end of this video, we’re going to finally have a product that’s ready to be shipped to real customers!
First, let’s do a quick recap of how we got here.
A couple years back I got a little thing called TMJ Disorder, which is basically when people have chronic jaw pain, tension headaches, stuff like that. For me though, it started out as jaw popping, and then progressed into locking up to the point where I couldn’t eat. It’s gotten better for me since then, but when I got those flare ups, I was told I had to apply heat and massage to be able to unlock my jaw and ease the muscle pain. But looking around, I couldn’t find anything to do it with! There were heating pads that didn’t let you massage, and couldn’t hold the right temperature. There were theragun type massagers that shouldn’t go anywhere near your face. And then there were more ehem womanly device, which almost work, but don’t heat up enough and aren’t quite the aesthetic I look for in products I purchase… Anyways, it’s my lifelong dream to design, build and launch my own product. And I couldn’t get this idea out of my head. So I decided I would do all the design, engineering, and business building all myself, and record every step of the way. So if you’re interested in the journey, go binge my other videos, they’re so good.
At this point we have a fully working prototype. Aluminum heated massage tip, casing, PCB, vibration motor, battery, heating element, everything.
Buuut that doesn’t mean we have a sellable product yet. Over the past few weeks I have redesigned everything, from mechanical to electrical to software. In this video, we’re going to focus on all the design for manufacturing and assembly that goes into a real product.

Really incredible stuff! Just binged all the videos and am binging the rest but just want to say so impressed by your drive and wherewithal. As someone who used to suffer from TMJ I am so glad this exists, and as someone with ADHD, I am so shocked by your ability to finish this task haha.

Good stuff, eagerly awaiting getting to try it in real life as I sit here massaging my jaw.
Just a couple suggestions: you should do some brainstorming on a name, snatch a domain, and create a business email with that domain that forwards to your personal email so that people can reach out to you. Additionally you could create a simple homepage linking to your videos here on TH-cam as well as a place to put in your email address and you can start accruing a wait-list. Can also consider raising potential funding from a kickstarter scenario or private investors if you get to the point where you actually do want to scale up a bit or want to improve the materials/design in some way that would be otherwise cost prohibitive but could improve the product enough to be worthwhile.
Keep up the good work, very interesting stuff!
