I got an 8k resin 3D printed last year for a business I was starting. Don’t think I could live without it now. I’m constantly making little bits and bobs to improve things and fix issues. So worth it.
Thanks man, sometimes less is definitely more. I think the addition of music would have taken away from the project and video. I appreciate you saying that too man, the response so far has been overwhelming considering I haven’t uploaded in over a year!

You know it's going to be a good day when RTA Fab drops a video - and this one does not disappoint. I really enjoyed your previous zen videos with no talk track, but this one is really nice as well - still watching but so far - killer. Thank you man, I really appreciate that! Still going to be releasing the ASMR style videos, I really enjoy those too, but this one is sort of a short series so I’ll be running through the processes. Honestly, I do appreciate you watching!

I've watched this video over and over. I love everything about it, the process is perfect and the changes that you make are so fitting for what you wanted. You have such high standards for yourself and your design. I'd really like to see more problems solved by you

I went from rolling my eyes and not expecting much and now that's cool and I want not just that, but things like that with satisfying form and weight. It was when you plunked it down.
This is cool. I was involved in advancing the wireless charging Qi standard in the market. I'm glad to see it finally caught on. We used to design, create and launch clunky expensive charging bases and receiver battery covers over and over again, knowing it was an uphill battle to get the market to adopt this technology. It caught on. Keep up the good work!
I looked at something similar before with a wireless QI charger coil, but I never got to doing the project as I got advised against using carbon fiber as it is conductive and can distort the magnetic field of the coil. I've always admired your work on Instagram, we are very similar in our approach in doing the best we can with the tools we have. I need to get myself and SLA printer it'd save so much sanding time.
I really missed your videos! Your craft, attention to detail, design and skills are just amazing. Add to it your cool studio, I can't wait to watch more! ❤
Love this, and the print results show off the HeyGear well; not come across the brand before, but at a smidge over £2K ex VAT, the Reflex Combo looks a compelling proposition. Looking forward to the followup and the molds.
Thanks! Yeah it’s actually reasonably priced in my opinion (compared to some brands out there) for the results and workflow especially. I did enjoyed not having to tweak settings, everything just worked which was nice for a closed loop ecosystem. Sometimes things like that can be a pain when one process doesn’t work well! The follow up should be out in a week or so so keep an eye out!
This was absolutely brilliant! I feel like I just sat in on a class in a product design school! really cool video, really inspiring!!! Please keep it up!
I'm looking at getting into small scale fabrication myself as a new career. It was really great seeing your process, especially your advice about capturing ideas and not getting stuck during ideation. I'm hoping to produce my own designs (probably scuba related stuff) but I'm happy to do small manufacturing runs to pay the bills and keep things regular. First stop for me is really committing to getting some Fusion 360 practice.
Absolutely love your process and how you explained it all. Briliant brother. Thank you for taking the time. I have some products that I want to iterate and prototype using my 3D printer i just bought, and I have no idea what I am doing, muchless know the software. But I am trying out this new venture.
The amount of work that goes into making such a high quality video like this is nuts, especially as a one man show. Do you have a background in any of the arts on display, or self taught? I aspire to make anything half as decent as your projects, so I'm going to go level the bed on my printer again 😅
Thank you man! Yeah it is abit of a grind, hence my annual video release track record 😅 I’m self taught in both making things and the filmmaking side. Both started out as hobbies, made a business out of the making things side and fortunately they’ve both ended up converging! Haha that made me laugh! Playing is the best way man, which I’ve recently had to remind myself of. As soon as I put pressure on progressing I stalled hard (not implying that you are), it’s only recently I let go and started trying to have fun with it again. I realised that’s where the best progression and learning happened for me. My goal now is to try and pass on any knowledge I have whilst having fun progressing further. I hope anything you’ve seen on my channel has helped in one way or another. Keep at it and get that bed levelled! 😄 Thank you again man, appreciate you watching!
To be honest, you're an amazing designer. Everything around you is perfect. One can clearly see that you love what you do. Some car brand or something should pick you up as a designer!@@RTAFabrication
Beautiful work, as usual. I love the videos, but I'm very curious about the considerations that go into the design and printing of your mold boxes. I noticed that some have a pour inlet on one side of the mold, while others have the inlet at the seams. Can you do a video that goes over the creation of your mold boxes?
Fantastic video. Love that you popped up in my feed recommndations. I'd love to learn more about how you do your suface modeling in Fusion. It's a skill I am trying to build!
Looks great. I like that resin printers seems to be getting better and better in terms of making the post-processing as hands-off as possible, definitely makes them more approachable.
This is just outstanding! your process and video work are amazing to watch. I worked with that same HeyGears Reflex recently and I really enjoyed not having to worry about any adjustments.
Thank you man I appreciate that! Yes honestly I was sort of expecting just another printer, but actually I found the closed loop eco system to be an advantage rather than a hindrance. Sometimes it’s one of those where if you’re locked in and something doesn’t work well it can be a real pain, but it was genuinely nice to just set and forget. I’ve always said if I ever worked with a company I’d only ever endorse the product if I would purchase it myself and after using it I’d say I would. What was the project you worked on with yours?
@@RTAFabrication Exactly! I enjoy tinkering don't get me wrong but when you're knee-deep in a project, the last thing you want to waste time on is smg like 'retraction and speed relationships.' I tried the resin mixing system they have as well and I've found it to be very cool so far, even though it's a closed system and we'll have to get those specific materials. I prefer that to have to send stuff out for fab. I made a silly modular macro keyboard system (all printed on this and video is up on my channel)
Man I've been waiting for a video from you. As always it's so fun to watch your design process and how you solve different problems. For every video I watch I learn a bunch of new techniques. Not only that but the cinematography, the editing and your explanation is awesome! I wish you'd make more videos but I get that it takes a lot of time to do. Can't wait to see next one. Take care!
Thank you man, and thanks for being patient, I know it’s been too long since my previous video! I’m glad you enjoy watching them and get some value from them. I’ve made plans moving forward to make time to upload more and help people where I can. Where it gets complicated is trying to balance filming/ creating a project to share and keeping the lights on with paid work. The videos do take a long while to complete, but I really want to help as many people as I can with these videos so I’m on the path to try and keep the uploads consistent. Thanks again for watching!
Thanks man I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the process. Yes I meant to mention in the video that it was Milanote I was using. I find it so helpful for putting together concept, as well as storyboarding the video too. Definitely an app that I rate and recommend. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
This is not only top notch quality, in every sense (product and video) but also immensely inspiring. I'm subscribing right now and also opening Shapr3D to start designing some stuff to print later :D
First video I have seen and subbed right away. I am looking into getting into printing this year and by God dude your work is phenomenal. Great shots, story, and amazing work and creativity. 10 out of 10 dude.
I always find it easier to design in my head. Thanks why I hated industrial design at uni. The whole sketching ideas thing didn’t work with the way my brain works. Sketching all the ideas in slowed me down but obviously it’s vital to show people your work.
I am a final-year Industrial Design student, and I am so glad I found your channel. I'm working on a speaker design and all your techniques seem applicable to my process. Is it possible for you to share where to get some of the molding material in your next video description? Thanks for sharing your process!
No problem, thanks for watching! Your project sounds interesting, is it something you’ll be documenting yourself at all? Yes sure I’ll definitely make sure I put links to everything in the following video. I’ll be updating this videos description with all of the links to the materials used too, I just ran out of time before it was published 😅 Thanks again for watching!
Haha, no worries. Looking forward to the next one. And no, I won't have the chance to record a video for it, but I will be documenting it in my course portfolio. I have actually introduced your channel to some of my other product design class colleagues who have similar interests. @@RTAFabrication
Hey RTA, found your channel a few months ago and it really inspired me to start learning all the processes you use. I've taught myself some basic Fusion, and weirdly the first product I've designed and printed has been a wireless charger for my VW T6! It's fairly rudimentary compared to your aesthetics but I've loved the process so far and it works! My plan is to start designing parts for the vehicles I love. On a separate note if you ever want to explore Scotland drop me a DM and ill be happy to give you a Defender free of charge as thank you for the ispo. My company is Wandering Icons. Looking forward to part two.
Hey Joshua, that’s great man! I’m glad the videos have inspired you to start learning and creating. I’m glad you’re enjoying doing it as well, it really is such a fun process solving all those problems and having something physical at the end that you made! That’s an incredibly kind offer. That sounds like it would be a great experience and actually I’d love to take you up on that! Genuinely appreciate the offer and again I’m really glad you and others are finding inspiration to start making things. I’d love for all of this to turn into a like-minded community of people who want to make things and help each other. Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and I’ll definitely be in touch. Thanks again!
Looks incredible! If you don't mind sharing, which resin slicer do you use? do you encounter printing failures? how do you get the perfect results (support/exposure time) for each print? thank you
Awesome video as usual! Cinematography and attention to detail in your work is 👌🏼 The printer looks very aesthetically pleasing too and features sound user friendly. Looking forward to the next video.

Seeing the entire design process was so cool! I cant wait to start using Milanote! That looks like a great tool for the idea process.
Wow, just wow, what a very talented man
First video I have seen and subbed right away. I am looking into getting into printing this year and by God dude your work is phenomenal. Great shots, story, and amazing work and creativity. 10 out of 10 dude.
Some master pieces and detailed work as always...! Thank you.!
Thank you! I appreciate the support 🤘🏻
Great video. Loved to see the process of your work and really nice results so far.
I always find it easier to design in my head. Thanks why I hated industrial design at uni. The whole sketching ideas thing didn’t work with the way my brain works. Sketching all the ideas in slowed me down but obviously it’s vital to show people your work.
Awesome work. I will be showing this to my product design students.
Thanks for sharing the process! Awesome production quality. I am curious what type of magnet are you using?
Beautiful work. Always love seeing a new video from you! Can't wait to see the next.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate the support!
Happy to see a new video from you!! Awesome to get an insight into your process!
Its a pleasure to watch your video, thanks for the great inspiration!
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Really awesome design work - congrats. Also your video aesthetics are just great. Good work!
Glad to see a new vid! I enjoy your work and it gives me inspiration to do better at the stuff I make!
this is some serious quality contend here great work clean executions
Bonkers. Your design language and attention to detail is super impressive. Can’t wait to see the next video 👊
Wow.. please make more videos if possible. Really amazing work here!
Thanks! I’m on the case. I’ve got the follow up to this video coming out in a week or so 🤘🏻
Beautifully designed product.
I have actually introduced your channel to some of my other product design class colleagues who have similar interests.

absolutely loved seeing this process. keep sharing!
Hhhh. Man, this is very inspirational work! Thank you! Looking for another video. Its awesome! Keep doing!
I really enjoyed watching this video, the design looks awesome! The only thing i would add is a black/dark cable cover.
Looks incredible! If you don't mind sharing, which resin slicer do you use? do you encounter printing failures? how do you get the perfect results (support/exposure time) for each print? thank you
unreal video... would it be possible to get a shop tour of all the tools you use?
great work again!
This really inspires me to improve my fusion skills. Great video👍
Awesome video as usual!
Cinematography and attention to detail in your work is 👌🏼
The printer looks very aesthetically pleasing too and features sound user friendly. Looking forward to the next video.
I also use to do electronic product designing. This is an amazing video to get some more details 😁
awesome video & process! appreciate all the effort that went into this
Thank you I appreciate that man!
