Greetings from an Australian paramedic who travelled through Eugene on a west coast USA RV roadtrip. A beautiful part of the world. Kudos to you for serving your community. Your roster is kind of similar to ours where we do 12-hour shifts and our rotation consists of one day, 2 afternoons and a night, with the following week as 1 day, 1 afternoon and 2 nights and so forth. Very generous of your department to allow such flexibility. Probably the biggest difference is that in Australia EMS and FD are two separate entities, and in most states it's only legal for anybody who's not a Registered Paramedic to assist in treatment and transport; they're not permitted to work autonomously. Keep up the great work.
