Yes. The parent does NOT have to be signed into the HOME Xbox. So you won't get checked out of the main Xbox *(i.e. your Xbox which is not the HOME Xbox) when your son signs into his Xbox (which is the HOME Xbox).
@@CliveIllenden this did not work for me. My xbox that my nephew plays on, when he is with me, is set to My home xbox so he can use my game pass. I think I understand the question. As I said in the video, if you (as Gold Account Holder - playing on the non-Home Xbox) are in the middle of a game, and the other player signs into your HOME Xbox - it "temporarily signs" you into that HOME Xbox - thus signing you out of the non-Home Xbox you're playjng on. Thank you so much my family was about to spend another 120$ a year but this definitely helped us out.
Glad I could help!
Among the 5 videos i've watched, you were the best ! some people try to explain simple things in their own technical language, but boy, you need an MIT diploma to understand them ! LOL. Had the same pattern, 2 houses, 2 xbox, daddy and son. Now it works. Thx
Thanks so much! Just got a series s and this explanation is extremely helpful!
Wow you explained everything in very fine detail! Thank you so much for explaining, your much more better explaining to us than Microsoft themselves! Take care!
Glad it helped 👍
You lad..... You are the GOAT! This just helped me immensely in trying to do something with both my xboxs and couldn't figure out for the life of me a workaround. You've just made my night and gaming time better. Thanks much :)
Thank you from California. 👍🏻

Glad I could help!
Awesome video 👍 only bit i got stuck on was after I'd set my sons xbox to home and i tried to sign in on mine, it wouldn't allow me play any games. Found out it was bringing up an option menu on sons xbox asking if you do want to sign out or not, he was selecting no (as thought it was his profile) by time i'd gone upstairs to check it was off screen 😂 .then he told me about menu option and waited to show me. Signed out on his and now all working fine 👍 one xbox live and gamepass used on 2 consoles and 2 accounts 👍 thank you
Took me a bit also because when I set my sons xbox to home I was in his account so it wasn't working haha
Thanks a lot. Saved me a lot of time to go through shitty Microsoft documentation..
