Finally! Thank you! Been trying to let my nephew play my games on my old xbox while I play on my series s. Didn't work at first but then I logged myself out of his and boom! And we can play different games at the same time

You and a few other TH-camrs who helped with this issue are life savers. At first these instructions didn't work for me but after I soft reset my Xbox it works perfectly. I knew something was wrong because my old Xbox was not connected and would not connect to the app. Which led me to the idea of doing a soft reset of the system
I wonder if I need to do that, cause my gf and I have our profiles set to home to each others consoles as laid out in this vid, but still we get kicked out of a game if we try to play at same time.
Also, do you mean soft reset as in restarting console, rebooting?
Setting- system- console info-reset console- reset and keep my games and apps.
Oh make sure both of your Xboxs are connected to the Xbox App. That's what also led me to do the soft reset.

So been trying to figure out this glitch on my own for a 2 weeks now. Looked it up on TH-cam and watched this video being the first one I watched and it worked but you have to have internet connection at least that's what mine was telling me. But this video was a life saver.

Man you're a savior... I tried figuring it out for months Now i can gameshare with my sister and friends either up to 4 players split screen which i need 2 controllers for both xboxes or 2 across 2 consoles which split screen is not supported... Thanks so much for the help

So this will work for say nba 2k22 in play now mode or black top where there is only split screen available? How are you making sure the 2 users are looking at the same screen like a screen share?

Just Tried it. Gave my First Gen Xbox to My Dad so he could enjoy campaigns and I could enjoy multiplayer On New Gen Kept Getting Kicked . Came across this and worked like a charm. Thanks!

Ty, but a question, does this allow the other person to access your progress? What I mean by this is that if on my main account I get gold skin on a cod gun, can the other person log onto the alt account and access your progress?

Thanks Broo! I have a quick question though. Sharing online only works with digital downloads? I've installed cod on both with the disc but when you want to play lets say team deathmatch the one with no disc can't. So for this instance would I have to just buy the game digitally to get it in both or get another hard disc? Hope you get back thanks!

Evening, sir. So, I am currently stationed on a military base in CA, and my son lives about five hours north of me. I have an Xbox One, and I believe my son has an Xbox One S. We both use MY Xbox Live account/profile, and when I recently tried to play Call of Duty World at War with him, it gave me the, "XXX is already playing this on Xbox One S" message. Do I need to create a separate profile on MY account for him, and then try this method of yours? Or does he need to have a completely separate Xbox Live account/membership/profile? I dunno if this is late but can you use their account as they watch something and it not interrupt? if your using their Xbox and it's not set up as a home xbox?
