Yep, I would love to see the dark future explored more back from arrivals and beyond light! Fun fact about the vex, the moment they started to exist, they had existed at every other moment ever, they could have come after the events of TFS or at the opening of the garden. So many possible stories in different universes.
It brings back memories of D1 live action trailers. Seeing statue(s), pyramid city, cursed peoples' shapes... it all comes together again to what was estabilished long time ago but had been put in shelves because of "money" reasons. I want to hope it won't fall down under its own weight and anticipation of people. One last time.
Every different universe or connected reality will send their version of the guardian which is all versions. It’s like we all are fighting together even though we are one person. Because we aren’t one person, there are infinite differences and the final shape will be matched by all of us standing between the witness and the end, never ending. Like all of us are the infinite that make up the resistance but we are in one entity, the universe but separate bodies, like a Rubik’s cube but all possible shapes are able from all possible positions. The guardian is a data point that has no limits, like infinite potential.
so i think you missed it but i dont have times stamps but there is an astronaut similar to the first fireteam to find the traveler covered in PRISMATIC ( so its at 1:21 but you need to slow the vid down to the slowist it can go and you get a glimpse)
most of the launch trailer was taking place inside the traveler. even Ikora said in the trailer "the witness shows us what it thinks we want, its a lie" so the traveler leaving, the pyramid ship in the background, the veiled figures, .etc is the witness messing with Zavala
I have a feeling that the scene of the witness destroying the last city will happen either before the raid or after the campaign than at the beginning. It doesn’t make sense for it to be outside of the traveller if it hasn’t completed the final shape. If that’s the case, then the shot of crow in the city will have to happen before the raid since he’s still in the traveller.
I think the veiled are THE darkness, and the witness has taken control of it and seems to now be an extension of the witness, as one (at least i think its saying this) also says "suffering" when the witness says "suffering" to zavala. ofc its all speculation but theres no wrong answers yet
I feel like that piece of reflective material, held by the veiled figure that appears to Zavala may have something to do with the shard of the traveler in the EDZ but, hard to tell
God, the whole trailer was amazing. The Finalization of ENTIRE EARTH, appearance of THE vailed figure, and the fact that Zavala could become a Disciple of the Witness... I'm not gonna lie, because of my screaming, my neighbours knocked on my door, thinking something happened. It's probably the most excited and hyped I was for a game. I think you're correct that the veiled figures are actually the precursors, or what's left of them. They have no faces (shrouds) because they now belong to the Witness. I don't think Zavala is just simply being corrupted. I think he's being invited to merge with the Witness!
So, if that first veiled figure represents the traveler (maybe), maybe those countless veiled figures represent the guardians that have died under zavala's command?
@@Venextron that is true but we know that the witness can take form and communicate with ppl. I think the witness did something to this veiled person and is trying to get to our guardian. We are the only god killer in the destiny universe to my knowledge, but now it just leaves the question what god are we killing?
They just hired Keith David though. How could they reconcile that if they do that? Just a temp hire I guess? I just find it hard to believe they paid him for a character only to kill him off. You could be right though we'll see 🤷♂️
Well someone had to voice him, and Keith has the closest voice to Lance out of anybody, is a great voice actor, and has a relationship with Bungie already. His story isn't over and they weren't just gonna shelf the character. I hope Zavala lives but just because they hired Keith doesn't really mean anything.

The final shape is geometric because geometry is perfect.. Nothing in nature is perfect shape wise... No object in nature is a perfect circle or cube.. thats the symbolism bungie is going for.. Perfection is geometry. 2. 0:59 is the precursor home which asha told us about and 0:37 is how traveler fled from there.. this is probably how zavala gets lured and starts to think traveler is not worth fighting for.. 3. 1:12 I am not a christian but I remember reading somewhere, when moses recieved ten commandments from God, God came to him as a little child and grabbed his attention with a small glittery rock... cant confirm the story but I felt like this might have been the inspiration for bungie... so if this is true, can we think this is a shape of light but "veiled" by dark.. also my point 5 kinda supports this. 4. 1:20 - 1:22 (see frame by frame).. looks like one of the astronauts from 2014 who first found the traveler in Mars.. cant make head or tail of the scene.. but do we have any lore of those astronauts after they found traveler?? cant find anything in ishtaaar.. 5. 1:35 feels like pure symbolism from 2 angle.. Zavala is leaving light and joining darkness so light falls.. second is he is the leader of guardians.. so when the leader is corrupted, army is falling.. so are these veiled figures little part of light symbolic of ghosts vis a vis guardians?? 1. The beauty of The Final Shape as a concept is that everyone has an interpretation of it. In the end there will be only one true shape, but there's theoretically almost an infinite amount of them trying to be achieved. So while your definition makes sense, it's really about what the one we will get will look like. 2. I agree with you there. 3. That's not how that happened in the Bible as far as I remember. 4. So I can't believe I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet, but the veiled figure reflecting light on Zavala, what it's using is shaped just like the lightning symbol Bungie often uses. Idk if it's just an easter egg or has a deeper meaning, but I'm SURE it's intentional

All the veiled figures are the precursors. I think the veiled woman had been the Winnower this while time. And the Witness worships the Winnower.
the witness "final shaping" the last city reminds me of Kali goddess of creation and destruction.
