    Thank you so much. I had a pretty messed up sleep schedule when i played the game, resulting in me zoning out during some cutscenes. For example i didnt realize how n and m became 2 seperate people. Or how the lost numbers existed. Ive been looking through websites to find anything. And yesterday i decided to rewatch the cutscenes, to get a better understanding. I got around chapter 4 when i discovered this video. Cant wait for part 2.

      Same. I do love the game but is it a coincidence? When rewatching cutscenes etc I feel bad now cuz I’m like this game is amazing but with work and my kid it was hard to enjoy the cutscenes like I wanted to.

    You deserve so much more subs! I beat the game after 209 hours (with alot of breaks with other games) ended up overleveling and beating the game pretty easily even on hard. My focus on the gameplay made me a bit lost on the story side, and also being overwhelmed. I missed so many details that I almost thought the story was a bit bad. But after you cleared things up in this video for me, I now know Xenoblade Chronicles is a goddamn masterpiece. Thank you.

    Amazing video and also explained in an easily understandable way. I've been following the few lore videos about this game so I knew some bits here and there but this is the first time I've seen everything so well explained in a single video. I wish some of these things were explained a little bit clearer in the actual game since not knowing all of that certainly detracts from the experiance overall. Excellent work. Earned a sub.

    24:50 This scene is the biggest mystery for me. Z steering Origin into the center of Aionios is an interpretation I haven't seen before, and could very well be the case. I was stuck on thinking the crash was involuntary on his part since it flung the origin fragments around Aionios that ended up being part of Z's undoing. I do have to wonder why Z didn't just generate Aionios around Origin though.

    I feel that Zed's obsession with spectacle comes from the psychological need for novelty. He may have been desperate for an endless now, but he was still drawn from the human mind and the mind needs novelty.

    Not sure why, but XC3 “clicked” with me in a way that the previous two games simply could not. I never even finished XC2. I really can’t put my finger on what the devs did differently to make the game so fun to play. Maybe it feels more “accessible”. Maybe it’s the characters. Not quite sure. But all I know is I truly enjoyed XC3 from beginning to end.

    This is a good attempt of telling the story of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, but unfortunately it is incorrect. The City and all of its inhabitants come from N and M. The 7 founders mentioned in this video were not linked to Nia, they were the founders of the second city.. after N destroyed the first one.. which he did to live forever in the "now".. this was the choice Z gave him if he wanted to stay with Mio forever..
    The sword of origin was not built, it is a weapon only Noah can draw once he has overcome his own dispair (moebius). It is a weapon of the embodiment of hope. The sword of origin can only be drawn in interlinked form. Thus impossible to build, as it is drawn directly out of ourborous chest.
    The story of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the story of Noah. He is the only one who can right Origin. He is like Shulk in XC1 he alone can decide Aionis fate.

    So from my understanding of the story.
    If Rex and shulk are in ionios that should also mean there's a version of them still alive in there respective universes.
    Meaning when time resumes and ionios is erased from ever existing shulk and Rex should be alive
    Because whilst aionios is thousands of years old and shulk and Rex died there (probable a few times) there respective universes are frozen in time so by the end of the game when everything is reset shulk and Rex should be alive on there planets because the ones on aionios are simply just a copy made by origin.
    God this is a very confusing game which is why in my opinion the first game is still superior but this is a close second.
    Edit: actually no shulk and Rex died of old age at like 80 or something explained by there statues so they would have been brought back and that's why we don't see them in this.

    Also when I first saw the statues of the founders I was thinking yeah , there definitely gonna make a DLC out of this . Anyways I’m curious what happened to Noah’s son tho ‘ , cuz I just started Future Redeemed.

    • @Maka_J
      @Maka_J  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope, being released from the flame clock just means you don’t need to harvest life to keep living, you’ll still return to the cycle of rebirth after you die

    Why only six ouroboros? And then how was Nia able to make so many stones? Is it that you can have as many stones as you want, but only six people can be activated from them at any given moment?

    • @migu6528
      @migu6528 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the game established that only 6 ouroboros can exist at a time and thats why the candidates act harsh towards the group when they show up in the city. I don't know if a reason is given but I do remember that the stone was found after a long time( the one from chapter 1)

    I came here looking for an explanation why there is even a 2nd Noah when N was around... Explanation here didn't make much sense either. It's just that N split in 2 at the crossroads... Somehow. Just seems like random universe rule that came out of nowhere, but convenient to the plot.

    Where in the game did they say that the emotions that created Z were the emotions inside origin?

    • @Maka_J
      @Maka_J  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well we know that Moebius was created from the emotions of uncertainty and fear within us all, as Noah explains in the final battle, and 'us all' refers to all the people in aionios, and all the people in aionios were stored in origin.

    • @edgarlopez1195
      @edgarlopez1195 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Melia and N gave that hint when Our grown up Waifu said “there might be something of moebious inside you” when talking to the gang and N said before disappearing that he was made of “grudge” and other emotions whereas Noah was mode of hope and stuff. Melia also said that Z is a person and the same time he isn’t and finally, When entering origin Mío sensed moebious al around Origin and in the final Battle they said something along the lines that Z and the moebious are just emotions and stuff. So when you get all those things together you get the wonderful explanation you heard here

    damn so the story was actually pretty good, shame it was presented in such a laborious way. I traded Xenoblade chronicles 3 in cause it took too long to establish a meaningful reason for me to keep playing and the combat was so repetitive (break, topple, daze, repeat). Made it through 1 and 2 (and X also) however. Thanks for this break down

    The thing that still doesn't make much sense is the homecoming. I get that it was a pretty smart way to motivate soldiers to fight and to give life force to the moebius. But as said, people who reach the homecoming are freed from the cycle of rebirth so it's not for Z's benefit in the long run. That means Z's plan couldn't go on forever this way. People manage to reach their homecoming eventually. The annihilation events are another proof that Z's plan was destined to fail over time because even Origin couldn't prevent them entirely.

    • @Maka_J
      @Maka_J  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that didn’t make much sense to me either, but perhaps the dlc will expand on its purpose a bit

    • @kyurei4478
      @kyurei4478 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I hope so ^^. Because for me the only major thing that I find underwhelming in this Xenoblade compared to the others is the lack of explanation for major things. That being said, that surely doesn't ruin the whole experience of the game for me. But I think having many answers in the DLC, maybe as a prequel, would make the initial game even better, much like Torna did for Xenoblade 2.

    • @OvranoPhanekh
      @OvranoPhanekh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's possible that Z allowed the homecoming not just for motivation for the flame clock people but also to remove humans who reject the endless now by accepting their deaths. Since he is the personification of the mass human consciousness stored in Origin, souls in Origin that do not want the endless now would not be to Z's benefit. Homecomings were very rare too anyways

    • @kyurei4478
      @kyurei4478 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see. So for people like Noah or Joran for exemple or people who completely refuse to fight no matter what. But that also means the homecoming would certainly have to cease to exist at some point when all the people who would reject the endless now would have died. The thing is, it's said in the game that the homecoming was a form of reward for the brave soldiers who survived this long to reach their homecoming. So it was for all the survivors, even those who accept it. Lanz particularly accepted it and wanted to fight to get his homecoming at the beginning for exemple. It really looks like a way to thank them for giving so much life force. But again, it makes no sense for Z to do that. And we didn't see what happens to someone who completely refuses to fight.
      But maybe it was just a way to maintain the illusion after all. Because killing someone right before they reach the end of their life would make Z lose the trust of the soldiers who would refuse to continue the fight. And even doing the ceremony and killing them in a secret place would look suspicious at some point I guess. So he really had no other choice maybe ?

    • @jafar257
      @jafar257 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually if you did Ashera's 2nd Hero Quest, she explained that at the beginning there was no "homecoming", consul literally just execute anyone that was close to end of their term.

    Probably the main question I have is... What did M have to regret? She didn't _do anything!_ She never _chose_ to become Moebius; never _chose_ the Endless Now. Those were fates thrust upon her by N and Z with no option to refuse. The most I can think of M regretting is not stopping N, and it seems like she wasn't born yet until _after_ he burnt down the City.
