I love all his songs. BTS is the oasis of my adult life. I've been following them for almost 5 years and I feel the same as the first day. Maybe that's why in their younger songs I receive that energy and joy that they transmit.
I feel like they purposefully performed this song here, during the pandemic, because it could also apply to everyday hero’s who have no superpowers but can be your hero. Amazing song. I also love when they sing it live it sounds so good, and appreciate when the skip a line making it so obvious they are truly singing live💜💜💜
This is another underrated song of BTS that I think should be given more credit. The choreography is on point, telling us the whole story - their voices soooo good, and the lyrics...when I first heard who Anpanman was - a Japanese "superhero" - a man with a head made out of a type of bread (Anpan) and his power consisted in giving a peace /a bite of his head to the starving and poor people. He literally fed the others with his own body. As absurd and strange it may sound - it is a perfect analogy of what BTS does - they gave everything for Army, their body and soul. And we are eternally grateful for it. Wishing my beloved 7 - and all fellow ARMY happiness and health! 💜💜

There are some explanation vids that go into the context of the character. This performance is awesome for giving 2000s boy band realness, but I also love their music show comeback stage and an award show performance where the costuming is more on the nose with the superhero/comics theme. Yes, they ace every kind of hype up song, and the deeper ones are so unique and special.

It is a beutiful lyric with an amazing funny great rythm. The choreo is fire. Yes go go, baepsae, Anpanman, Spine breaker and more are in this category. The most amazing performance of Anpanman is the concert with inflatables on stage. SOOOOOO much fun. Still amazed after 3 years how they can sing that good while dancing to a extra cardio demanding song.

Other performances are very charming as well, with bright comicbook colors in wardrobe and set, flashing lights, and lots of shenanigans in concerts. But this one stands out with its wide-angle shots to show us all the dance formations. Sky blues, bright whites, and a literal room without a roof give us the effect of them flying like superheroes.
You are right this sub category of sing needs more love and analysis because they just album after album have these fun silly sings which are hype and yet deep social or personal meaning. The lives of this are anathema first one on TV they all dressed as “every day heroes” ie police, fire fighters, etc. In live concerts this is THE most chaotic song, it’s where they inflate a damn jump house and slides and all just show play and that it’s ok to have fun like kids on stage it’s the single most unique thing I’ve ever seen. Hilarious fun pure joy. You can be a hero even if you just give someone food. I love them so much.
One of my favs. We have them play it at our local roller rink at least once a week. The "ballin' ballin' still Bangtan"...those claps on "Bangtan"...my daughter and I have clapped so loud we've actually scared people. Oops! LOL

From what I’ve seen, most groups vocalists sound the same and the raps in K-pop are mostly awful. They hardly ever sing live and the dances seem simple compared to BTS. BTS are unlike any other group and I truly respect them for their hard work.
